They are strickly into marketing!!The motor generator is ok, but the accesories like mufflers, frames, starter motor, aqnd exhaust parts are made of cheap steel which rust like crazy. I have a 4 year old generator with 10 hrs on the unit. The starter had a bad spot in it. Removed generator, and the rust is sca;ing and the main pan is seriously rusted. RV should mean that some stainless should be used to take road salt and be better built than a basement storage type generator. I have a generac basement generator built alot better than this unit. If rplacing a generator, stay away from this overmarketed junk!...Tom

(More customer reviews)Our house is only partially air-conditioned and one of the rooms lacking air is the baby's room. Probably only a fan would be needed to make the small room more comfortable, but what kind of fan would it be? We'd been thinking about something that might stand on the dresser, but that might be somewhat inconvenient. Then one day, we were shopping in our local Costco Warehouse store and came upon a display of Seville Classic Tower Fans. It seemed a perfect solution. It's narrow base and tower for would fit perfectly in a small part of the room between the glide rocker and the crib.

Assembly was easy. It took less than ten minutes from out of the box to operational. We prefer the oscillating mode of operation and it nicely stirs the air of the entire room. It doesn't lower the temperature level, of course, but it definitely makes the room seem more comfortable. We particularly like the timer. We can set it when the baby goes to sleep and it automatically turns off after the specified interval. Operation is simple and straight forward.

The fan is quiet and non-intrusive. We can hardly tell it is on, but can easily feel the refreshing breeze throughout the room. About the only thing we don't like about the fan is that it wobbles about somewhat on the narrow base. At first, I though I might not have tightened the base on securely enough, but it just has a somewhat flimsy plastic base and there's no way to correct the problem.

(More customer reviews)I bought this when I was living in New Jersey. It is my first dehumidifier and I may have been expecting too much.

It removes plenty of moisture and works great. When the bucket is full it shuts itself off. You have the option of connecting it to a hose and let it run indefinitely with no water collection. Don't set it on max, because a room that is TOO dry is also uncomfortable. You can set it as low as 40% humidity, and can increase this in increments of 10% to Max.

Main problem is that it runs very hot. It will heat the room in which it is placed. On a hot humid day the last thing you want is a hotter dry day. This is not one of those units you would want to put in your bedroom.

It is not really quiet. I don't know if it is quieter than other dehumidifiers, but it produces the same amount of sound as a room air-conditioner.

Reliance Generator Transfer Switch - 60 Amp, 240 Volt Review

This is a simple DPDT switch made up of two Cutler-Hammer CH260 circuit breakers connected by a special bar that prevents them from being engaged "on" at the same time. The unit has a neutral (or ground) bar in the upper right corner, and has sufficient knockouts and mounting holes to adapt to any application. In all, it's a simple, effective manual-switch solution that doesn't have a lot of crap on it, like some other switches do.

When I received the unit, I had originally thought "this is a lot larger than it could be." I still think that, but the extra space does allow for easy cable routing inside the box. The top is occupied by the busbar, but the bottom could have several inches lopped off to make for a smaller box.

I was pleased that the breakers used are common styles. CH2xx breakers are available almost anywhere that sells electrical panel equipment, so I decided to change the 60A breaker out on the generator side for a CH220 (20 Amp) unit that more matched my systems capabilities. I figure that I won't have much going during an outage - a tiny freezer and some lights, maybe a laptop, so 20A will hopefully trip before my generator gets outstripped. If you do replace a breaker, remember that CH breakers require a lot of force to engage on their bars. (You have to push HARD, but they remove easily enough.)

The only other real con is the labels they use to identify the sides are tiny. A giant red arrow with "UTILITY" on it would have been better.

In all, however, it does the job I bought it for.

(More customer reviews)Good:Can run 12+ hours on a 3 gallon tank of gas.Very clean voltage without the radio frequency hash which you find on a Honda inverter generator.This generator can run my natural gas furnace, some lights, small TV and my main refrigerator without missing a beat.I briefly unplug the refrig. when I want to run my Mr. Coffee.This generator is liftable by one guy.Fits inside a standard car trunk with room to spare.Excellent build quality unlike the junk generators you see at the hardware stores.The Yamaha is much cheaper than the Honda equivalent.

So so:About as loud as your typical lawn mower.

Limitations:Oil fill is a little hard to get to.Not enough power to run my clothes washer or NG clothes dryer but that's no surprise.12 volt output has a higher voltage than specified so I'll use my 12 volt auto battery charger if I need to charge batterys.

Comment:There is a GFI model and a non GFI model of this generator.I went with the non GFI model to have a more trouble free power source.Your mileage may vary.As I type this review my town is experiencing a typical winter ice storm with lines expected to go down.My Yamaha is fueled up and ready to go with four 5 gallon filled gas cans in reserve.

I test my generator every one to three months or so.It starts on the third pull every time.Exercising a generator plus recycling the gasoline every year will keep you prepared for your next power outage and there will be a next power outage.

I kept 2 of these fans running at high speed, in my bedroom, at opposite ends during the heat wave. when the power went out, I realised these fans really do work. the room was noticably cooler. I plan to get another one of these & a window fan for my kitchen. it's worth the price.
the only reason I didn't give these fans 5 stars is because the height adjuster on one broke a little too easily... but I think its perfect at its lowest level anyway, with no adjustment its level to the bed.

(More customer reviews)When I opened the box and saw this little generator, I thought I was in trouble.But this 2800 watt Yamaha is the new inverter model.Not sure what that means, but it is very light weight but really puts out the juice.We ran 2 screwguns, 2 - 500 watt quartz lights and our radio and this Yamaha barely ran above idle.It weighs half of what our old junker weighs, runs 4 to 5 times longer on a gallon of gas and purrs quiet as a kitten.We have been using this wonderful generator for over a year with no problems at all.It's Yamaha inverter generators for our crews from now on.

(More customer reviews)This generator is great, although expensive.Battery was dead when i received it (probably sat for 18 mos).After the initial break in (20 mins first oil change, then an hour on next oil change) the genset would start under its own battery power.This thing is a champ and runs the 13000 btu RV AC just fine (as long as you have smart throttle off).Its very quiet and isn't disruptive to other campers (compared to traditional gensets).I'de recommend it to anyone!
