There are plenty of hot Christmas toys around. Here are a few that are still hot. Even though some of them have been around for a while, they remain perennial favorites with kids. As a matter of fact, these toys can be considered "evergreen" toys - kids ask for them year after year. Some of them, like Thomas the Tank Engine have been around for decades - generations of kids have played with Thomas, and he remains a favorite of the current generation as well. Thomas and Friends is a friendly group of steam engines that work on the Island of Sodor, moving people and goods. The toys in the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway are made of wood. And so is the track. They are warm, smiling engines that have many adventures, and kids love them as much today, as the kids of 50 years ago. I have watched kids big and small playing with Thomas engines, building different track layouts, buildings along the way - made from Lego blocks, wooden blocks, or whatever was handy - sometimes even books can make a great train station and a super tunnel. Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends are wonderful toys that enhance kids' imagination, and make everyone smile.
