(More customer reviews)Over the years I have purchased a number of travel irons, only to be disappointed when they did not do the job.I resigned myself to wearing wrinkled clothes on vacation.But I have to say the Rowenta has made a believer out of me.Unlike most travel irons, this heats just as well as an home iron and it does an excellent job when it is used as a vertical steamer.And the nylon carry case is a plus.
I cannot recommend this product enough.Buy with confidence.

Operation is straight forward and simple. The directions are very well written, and if you need assistance, Grace Co. is quick to answer emails, and has a dedicated group to assist you with problems. I have since ran lots of stuff through it (stuff I didn't intend to eat) trying to grind off all the paint, but still I see paint flakes. The grinder is prominently stamped "MADE IN CHINA" and if you've heard about Chinese-made dog food, toys, even baby food, you know what kind of crap could be in those paint flakes.

This is a dangerous product and should not be used for any kind of food, not even dog food. I am going to report it to the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

(More customer reviews)My wife and I had a pretty nice Rowenta steamer that we got as a wedding gift about 4 years ago.Well, that one didn't have the dual voltage switch and when we were in Europe, we basically fried it (our fault - we thought the converter would work with it, but apparently not).Anyway, we replaced it with this model last fall.Big mistake.The first thing I noticed is this one is made in Mexico, the old one was made in Germany.Also much cheaper quality - the parts, the fit and finish.We turned it on and it never heated up.Took it back and brought #2 home.This one heated up, got so hot that it emitted a scary smell (like when you clean an oven) and the plastic cover plate got too hot to the touch.Based on reading the manual and the website, I don't think this is supposed to happen.At any rate, we were never able to get it to emit steam, no matter how long we waited or how much we pressed the button.Back to the store to exchange it for #3.This time we made the clerk try it out to see if it was just us.It wasn't.None of the store personnel were able to get it to work.When they gave us a new one, I asked them to try it as well.Same result.They had to open yet another new one out of the box (we're up to #4 now, if you're still trying to keep count) which worked.Admittedly I was pretty leery at this point, but we were leaving on a trip in less than a week and they stocked no other steamer models.So I took it home and it went with us to Japan.Worked fine the first few times, but after about a week of travel it began to fall apart.Now it leaks profusely and the steam output is about half what it once was.I contacted Rowenta but the hassle to box this thing up, send it to the service center in San Diego, etc. is just not worth it to me.Needless to say, I am through with buying Rowenta.

The motor on the razor slows down everytime it had to cut something, causing it to barely work. The casing for the shaver is badly put together and feels like it is going to fall apart any second. The end of the handle where you insert the batteries is weak and could easily break, causing your batteries to be stylishly taped in. I would never purchase this product again. A plug-in shaver may be a better purchase.

Because it damaged my caulk, I found it difficult to clean my shower with it because well, there's caulk in there and it gets dirty too!! The only thing I use it for now is to clean the outside parts of the toilet. Soap scum doesn't come off...My windows and mirrors do not get clean. The manual is a piece of trash so even if this machine could do something, you're on your own to find out how.
The plastic seems cheap, the attachments damage easily...It is a horrible feeling when you open the box and just know that you've been had. Don't waste your money!!!
