(More customer reviews)The Pragma king size bed was amazing when I pulled the very thin two peice bed from the box it was delivered in.1: Unfold. 2: 2 clicks and 3: set it down.That was it!Attaching the 2 frames to make the king size bed was VERY simple.This process took about as much time to make the bed.The frame sits 1.5 inches higher than my old 2x4s we were using.It was placed inside an existing king size head board with side rales and foot board.Fit nicely.It has great space for storage underneath also.The only movement noticed is the sway from head to foot(~1-2 inches) after the mattresses were placed. This product seems very sturdy and does not look like it can fail easily.Great product!Wish I knew about it sooner.Now the 2x4's can be used for the fire!

(More customer reviews)I bought this blower because I wanted to clean off my driveway without the hassle of plugging in my larger electric blower. I've owned it for about a year now.
The first thing that you notice about this blower is that it's much smaller than it looks in the photos. It's closer in size to your hand saw than it is to a standard leaf blower.
This has it's advantages and disadvantages. It's easy to set up, just twist the nozzle onto the front and plug the battery in the handle and you're ready to go. If you have a small outdoor job like blowing leaves or twigs off your front porch it works great. But being physically smaller in size than other blowers you don't move nearly the volume of air as a full size blower and sometimes you need to bend over and "push" the debris around with the air stream. The trigger style variable speed switch is great in that it allows you to dust off items that wouldn't survive a more powerful blast. It would be great for jobs like blowing sawdust out of your shop area as you could lightly dust the shelves and then sweep the floors full blast.
Even with an 18 volt battery the Makita doesn't have enough power to do the big jobs or work well on grassy surfaces. Even a large driveway would be a strain as it would require too much bending over and you would probably run out of power before you were done.
This blower is for hard surfaces and small jobs. In this role it is a mini powerhouse. It's build quality is high and it is light weight. It's designed for those "in between" size jobs.
It might even make a good blow dryer for a wet dog.
In summary, do NOT purchase this blower for regular yard work. Buy a full size.
DO purchase this blower for jobs of convenience and you will enjoy it. It is well built and nice to have when you're willing to start a five minute job but not a 20 minute one. :^)
Update: Dec 5, 2002 This morning I used the blower to blow off the powder snow that fell on my vehicle overnight. It took less than a minute and I didn't get my hands snowy just before I had to leave for work. Because you can whip this blower out quickly, there are a lot of different things that you can use it for that you might not think of otherwise.

(More customer reviews)After reading every positive and negative review I could find on this pool, my husband and I decided to give this pool a try.We went over all the complaints, from treating the pool, putting a cover on the pool, and the most important thing is making sure the ground is level. So I will pass on a few tips that can help you the future pool buyer be aware of. The first thing that is the hardest part and can be a bit of a pain. You should measure out the diameter of pool and go around placing a level on a brick (or something that won't be warped) work your way through out thecircle and check to see how level your ground is. If you need to put down sand or something to make the ground as level as possible I would do it. It took my husband 2 hrs to get this done. Next we laid out a ground cover, we were really not sure if we needed this or not.Then came the pool, and using a small air compressor (not a bike pump like the video shows) it took 45 min. to completely fill the ring. You must fill ring to the point where there are no more wrinkles in it. Then we did as the video says, to remove wrinkles in the bottom of pool. With 2in of water in the pool, my husband started from the center on hands and knees pushing wrinkles to the outer edges. Then filled the pool the rest of the way, and put the cover on it when we were done. The next day we had a bad rainstorm, and when it cleared up there were leaves and dirt all over the cover. After pulling the cover back finding a clean pool, that was a plus. We found a couple of pluses to the ground cover. If you put a bucket of water next to the ladder you can wash dirt off your feet and not bring it into the pool, and when you come out of the pool you can step on the cover and not wet ground from where the kids have been splashing water out. As for chemicals, you do need them. Buy a tester, or take your water to be tested. Get a floating chlorine dispenser, clearifier, and algaecide. We haven't used the last two yet, but you never know. So as a overview of the pool. You will get close to 15' across on the top if your ground is level and you will be able to get the 36" if your ground is level. Add more air the next day to the upper ring since sun expands the vinyl some. Spend the extra money to get a pool cover, it will save on time wanting to get in the pool instead of fishing things out. I know I have done a lengthy review, but I hope this information has helped you, and saved you a little time looking around as I have at everyone elses complaints. It took my husband and I 8hrs from start to finish. My husband and I enjoy our pool, but not as much as our 2 kids.So the extra work was worth it...

(More customer reviews)My wife calls this a "man's fan" because it comes with a remote control.The remote is a cool touch, but not what makes this product (or set of products) great.The fans are quiet, unintrusive and feature rich.

First, the fans are supprisingly quiet.They provide enough white noise for falling asleep, but no so much that they become distraction.(A set of Sony MDR-NC6 Noise Canceling Headphones wil block them right out if you're listening to music.)The oscillation is generally quiet.After a year of near constant use, I can only detect a slight rattle if I pay close attention.

Second, the fans have a very small, but stable, footprint.I hate the protruding legs on standing fans.The larger fan can stand just about anywhere in a room without a leg for someone to trip on.The smaller fan sits nicely on a shelf or desk.Mine sits next to my monitor at work.I also hate how top-heavy table fans can be.No worries with this set.I've yet to knock one over even after a few late-night collisions.

Third, there are a ton of features--or at least a dozen.The small fan has three speeds, oscillation and timer (1, 2 or 4 hours).The large fan has the same speeds and ocsicllation, plus you can set the timer in half-hour increments for up to 7.5 hours.The Sleep Wind feature let's you start the fan at one speed and it will periodically reduce its speed.Sounds nice, but I've never used it.The Natural Wind settings are supposed to simulate the changing wind velocities in the real world.I tried it for 15 minutes, felt like I was in a hyperactive version of The Three Pigs and have never used it since.

A great feature I didn't realize I would use so much is the ability to restrict or expand the sweep of the fan when it oscillates.When the oscillation is off, you can rotate the fan into one of five positions.In the middle position, the fan will oscillate with a broad sweep.If you rotate the fan to either side, it will restrict it's sweep to a smaller arc.I use this at night when I want the fan to oscillate, but also want to keep the air focused toward my bed.

Finally, the remote control.Why do you need a remote control for a fan?Why not!It's a remote!You sit on one side of the room and the fan responds to you on the other side.That's the kind of real power that makes you wish for a hot day.The remote isn't wimpy, either.It let's you control just about every feature on the large fan--the small fan doesn't have one--and there is hook on the side of the fan for storing the remote when not in use.My four-year-old son loves to play with it and it hasn't been lost yet.Something about the hook makes him want to hang it up.

There you go.Who knew I'd be so blown away by a fan.

DeLonghi DE400P Energy-Star 40-Pint Dehumidifier with Pump Review

(More customer reviews)New, out of the box, I turned this dehumidifier on and what a noise it made.

I removed the cabinet from around the unit and found that the fan blades were striking the top of the compreser. Because the threads of two of the three bolts that hold the compresser in place were stripped and the nuts could not be tightened down on those bolts thus the compresser leaned over to get itself under the fan blades. I added washers to the bolts so that the nuts didn't have as far to go to tighten and re-applied the nuts which pulled the compresser upright and now the fan blades don't hit. The person who installed those compresser nuts had to know they had stripped the bolts but sent it out to the customer anyway.

Now, two days later and the pump doesn't pump.

I've written DeLonghi telling them that I will ship the unit at my expense to either DeLonghi or Amazon, their choice but that I wanted my money back.

I'll keep you posted.

I had it run a small 15" lcd tv and satellite receiver in my RV.When I upgraded the TV to a 22" LCD with built in DVD player, adding the satellite receiver it struggled.Every once in awhile it would make a beep noise and the TV would turn off.I knew I needed to upgrade to a little bigger one. I have tried a few 300-400 watt models but the fan noise is too loud, you can hear it. Distracting while watching a movie. I'm considering just running two of these STP-150 (one for each piece of gear) to keep things silent.This little things grunts out plenty of power I was surprised.

(More customer reviews)This is an excellent heater.I am surprised at how powerful and quickly it heats.I get cold very quickly, and will be the first to complain about how cold a room is.I have gone through several space heaters, that have either died quickly or I returned because they did not get hot enough.I have used this in a living room and basement and it consistently heats both places very quickly.The recessed handle makes it easy to transport from place to place.Unlike other space heaters that you have to sit directly in front of to be warm, this warms the room entirely.In fact, with this heater, I actually had to turn down the heat because I was sweating and others complained of the high heat as well.I suppose this is a good problem to have with a space heater.The oscillation is smooth; no jerking or clicking noises.The digital feature is accurate, I feel that other space heaters (that require you to turn the dial down until the heater shuts off to set the temperature) are inaccurate, and sometimes would never turn back on or turn on when the room was freezing.This heater has a very accurate thermostat, and maintains temperature well.It also looks attractive and modern. The price for this is unbeatable, and shipping was fast and free.I have tried more expensive heaters that did not heat as well.As for longevity, I have a friend that has had it for two years and says that it is working just as well, so I am taking their word for it and post another review if I feel otherwise.

I figured it was just a novelty item but was very suprised to find that it is a real, working, quality humidifier.It has an extra cylinder and five extra little wicks.You need to use filtered water if you want the cylinder to last a year or more. I use distilled water. You CAN'T ADD OIL OR SCENT TO THE WATER OR YOU'LL RUIN IT. It gives off cool mist, continuously, and for about two hours before it needs refilling.If you don't refill it, it automatically shuts itself off. It is totally silent. About as big as a VERY large coffee mug. It plugs into the wall and the cord is pretty long. I'm buying another one!

(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit for my wife for Christmas of 2006 (started using in January 2007).As a frequent tea drinker, she loved the convenience of having hot water available on demand.Last week the unit started reboiling when it wasn't supposed to and no longer stays on the "keep warm" function but instead keeps boiling as though we'd just filled it with cooler water.It also dispenses in spurts and gurgles, as though there's air trapped in the line. The reslult is hot water spattering in every direction.Basically, it's a hazard.Thank God we didn't leave it plugged in while we were away.
