Endless ® pool garden rooms

Garden endless ® pool room next to pool project 2

Working alongside Home Counties Pools and Hot Tubs we have produced a specific swimming pool garden room for the Endless ®  Pool range of swimming machines.

These amazing exercise pools provide all the benefits of traditional swimming pools but in a fraction of the space, and mean it is very cost-effective to install them within one of our rooms. To see more information about this amazing range of exercise pools please click here. Our Endless ®Pool rooms can also be made with enough room for your turbo & running machine to give you the perfect private Triathlon room or garden gym!

Project 1.

Working with Home Counties, this customer decided to go for the ultimate building for their Endless Pool and have our bi-fold door room. The pool was set half in the ground and half in the room then we installed the room over this. Along

alt

Bi-fold with doors open and decking

with the bi-folding doors this building also had lining and insulation along with lowE ultra efficient double glazing, so in the winter the room is warm to use as a reception family room then in the summer open the doors wide to enjoy the alfresco life.

Along with the electrical installation of lights & sockets we fitted an air conditioning unit that not only heats for the winter but also has an integrated dehumidifier to keep the building fully dry even with the pool open.

The building was finished off with our Walnut Sikkens top coat preservative, matching pump house to the side and a decking area to the front.

Project 2

This customer already had an outdoor pool,

alt

project 1 ground inset pool in bi-fold room

however wished to have an all year-round internal option so extended her swimming season by installing a partially in ground Endless Pool in our sliding door Merlin garden building.  The desired position of the pool room meant it was on sloping ground. Home Counties created a sunken pit similar to project one and we, due to
the sloping ground, then installed our steel and timber framed base off of this giving a very cost-effective alternative to a mass fill of concrete.

With the fantastic views available from its position glass was fitted all-round to three of the four walls, the building was lined, insulated & double glazed as all our rooms are. We fitted single sliding UPVC patio door to the front with a personal to the side.  The overall size of the building meant  there was more than enough room to the front for exercise machines or just to relax.

alt

Project 2 ground inset pool with tile finish

This building was also finished in the our Sikkens HLS Walnut preservative and had the red tile roof added for a great looking building.
Project 3

This customer was looking for an Endless Pool and room for their son to exercise and practise plus to potentially use to teach swimming. As this was more of a working room the standard Kite room was decided to be the best option without insulating. With the teaching element in mind the building was made slightly wider so you can easily get to the head of the pool and observe techniques, this also gives enough room for a private changing area. The pool was installed at ground level keeping costs to a minimum; both the Endless Pool and building are installed on a 150mm concrete raft. We then fitted our new line in wet room flooring called Aquastep, on top of our timber sub floor. Home Counties then faced the pool off with synthetic cladding. To eliminate the

need for planning the entire building was under the 2.5m and we also fitted a fire wall to the rear and sides so it conformed to the building
regulations.

Home Counties and Bakers Timber Building offer free site surveys to give you total peace of mind on any of our projects. We offer a fully comprehensive service with a personal touch that cannot be beaten.

Our Complete Garden Room Package!

Kiteroomwithblankrighthandsideforbathroom

Kite room with blank right hand side for bathroom

When we say we offer a complete package for garden room build, we really mean it and one of our latest projects really shows our total service.

This project required a full self-contained room in the garden and then a full garden landscape. We started with the service trench – this included water main in at 1m deep, back fill to 0.5 for SWA electrical cable back fill some more to the communication pipe, including internet, phone and TV cabling. We then set above this the drainage out to main drain manhole at the side of the house.

Once this element was complete we set to work on the base, first getting a few tree stumps removed we then fitted our steel and timber framed option, as it works so well when running water services and on unlevel ground. While the base was being installed the factory was underway with the production of the building.

Roomwithartificialgrassandclimbingframe

Kite wooden garden room with artificial grass and climbing frame

The building is based on a Kite wooden garden room, 6m x 3m (20×10ft) with a partition running front to back to give a separate shower room. The building had our standard TGV lining to the front and sides but we fitted a firewall to the rear to keep within the building regulations. By fitting a firewall (non-combustible), it meant that we could install a building up to a boundary, instead of 1m away on any building up to 30sqm, saving potentially crucial space. We also kept the building and base under 2.5m high, so no planning permission was required.

As with all our garden rooms the building was insulated using a Selotex upgrade in the fire wall, all the glass is double
glazed and toughened. This customer also added: an insulated floor, with our antique white V laminate; the security pack; a 1m roof overhang to the right hand side of the building – all finished in our Walnut Sikkens HLS.

Indiansandstone&palisadefenceandgate

Indian sand stone & palisade fence and gate

Once this was done our plumber and electrician installed the toilet, wash basin & power shower, hot water, expelair, heating, lights & sockets that the customer had requested. In the meantime, our landscape team set to work on the Indian sandstone patio & path, stone to the other areas and if you were thinking that grass looks too good to be true, you have a keen eye!! The customer has two children and a dog and wanted a mud-free back garden so we fitted artificial grass for all year round use. We then fitted the palisade fence for the children’s safety and a main gate in to the garden. This wooden garden room and garden give great all year round use and really extends your living space.

Wooden garden building with integrated storage

BuildingwithpondtofrontandHottubtotheside

Building with pond to front and Hot tub to the side

Mr & Mrs D from Sussex were looking to renew their old garden room and shed with one larger wooden garden building, with integrated storage. After they visited our showground, we arranged a site visit and did a comprehensive survey allowing us to confirm all of the costs. Initially we quoted for the whole project including dismantling the old garden buildings, base work and electrics. Mr D decided, with some time on his hands and enjoying getting involved with the project, to do the dismantle, base, and part of the electrical submain himself. Once the base was completed we arranged a second survey to confirm the final size of the building.

Dining room on the left with store to the right

The wooden garden room was  to be 17×9’2’’ with the storage being 7×9’2’’, making the overall building 24x 9’2’’.  This size maximised the depth available and as all our wooden garden buildings are tailor made this was not a problem. The garden room was insulated and lined to the four walls, roof and floor, with bio-cool self cleaning and heat reflective double-glazing to make this building more than comfortable all year round. As there is a hot tub right next to the building, we reduced the side window depth to give a neat purpose built look inside and out In addition to this we installed our security pack to both parts of the garden building, fitted a tile laminate floor and applied 2 coats of Sikkens to the base coat to give maximum protection. Once the building was fully erected we then installed the agreed electrics package that included down lights, sockets and a heater. We finished off with timber pelmets for the blinds. Bi-fold garden room with hot tub

Thetubfitsinperfectly

The tub fits in perfectly

Mr & Mrs J were looking to get more out of their garden and loved the idea of a hot tub in the garden.  They wanted to use it all year round, so it needed to go into a building, but they still wanted it to feel part of the garden.

Working closely with Euphoria Lifestyle, Mrs J came up with her perfect package of building and Jacuzzi® hot tub. The building was going to be our Bi-fold, enabling the whole front to open up and be part of the garden, yet have a warm dry area for drinks and entertainment. The hot tub was the Jacuzzi® J-465 with hinged lid.

A local builder had already prepared the base, so the tub was delivered and put in place; we then built the floor and building around the tub. The building was made special heights to be tall enough for the lid to open, yet under the planning height restriction. With only a few millimetres to

spare it fitted perfectly.

The building had 3.9 wide bi-fold doors, tile laminate to take the water, top coats of Sikkens Walnut, extra opening windows to allow for more ventilation, and guttering fitted to the back to catch the rain. The tub was then commissioned and was up to temperature and ready to use after 1 day.

Condor Garden Room with Decking

pathbeforedcking

path before dcking

Mr and Mrs C were looking to extend their living space.

They decided our Condor ex-demonstration building would work for them practically, with the fantastic discount it had.

The proposed area was quite out of level.  After a site visit from Mr Baker, it was agreed that a timber framed base would be best and an area of decking would finish the project perfectly. During the site visit a survey was done to price the electrics.

About six weeks after the final quotation was agreed the work was started. The timber framed base and decking were installed within a week, and the building was installed the following week taking 8 hours to complete. It comes with insulation, lining and toughened double glazing as standard.

fromthesideyoucanseethesloppingground

from the side you can see the slopping ground

Once the building was installed our electrician followed on, running the sub main from the main fuse, attached to the house, then dug in a trench to the building. Internally the customers required flush double sockets and wall lights. Externally 6 down lights were fitted in the canopy. All the work was completed in a few days including testing and certification.

The building was finished with Light Oak Sikkens HLS, applied by the customer
