Spotting at conception or just a fluke?

Ok so heres the background story..last september i was dating this guy. And well we had had semi-unprotected sex if you catch my drift a few times, stupid yes i know. Well anyways we did it once three days after my period and then like a wk and a half to two weeks later i was about to go into work and he had called me and i was like i got good news he was like what i was like im not pregnant i started my period. And he goes oh yea i said yea he goes umm no you just had your period like two weeks ago or something like that i was like oh yea well then i wonder whats up he goes on the contrary you could be pregnant and you could be spotting at conception. I had never heard of this and i researched it found out it was rare. well i waited and eventually over a period of a month i took two home tests that were negative and i was like shew im in the clear but i hadnt started my period..then like a month later i finally started my period but it came out very clotty and very heavy unlike normal. And my best friend was like meg you couldve had a miscarriage i was like but the tests were negative she was like yea but still. well now here i am and my new boyfriend we live together now, well i its been 11 days since m last period and i started spotting and we’ve had semi-unprotected sex once its the only time we’ve ever done it, and well im freaked out now. I dk what to think i did more research bc this is alot like that last time and i read that a lady once had the same situation and took three hpt’s and they were negative went to the ob-gyn and was pregnant. so my friend could have been right last time. its too soon to take a test..im kind of scared not because im not ready to have a baby mentally and i also know im with my forever love but still i just dont think i could afford it right now and dont want to have the child live a life of struggle. but i dont believe in abortions. but anyways..am i worrying for nothing or could i be prego? please help and no rude comments.

p.s. and for those of you who are like why arent you on birth control i have epilespy and i’ve always had a fear that it would interfere with my medicine..
