Answer by Breath on the Wind It seems you have skipped a few models in between. Overall such decisions are usually made based upon price and weight vs power and performance. I would also think it somewhat depends upon your prior experience. My first motorcycle was very small. I wanted to get used to the whole idea of them. If there were problems I wanted the investment in time, expectation and money to be less so it would be less of a risk. After a time, I had more experience and traded up to a mid weight vehicle that had a high power to weight ratio. Since then interests have changed.
