Source is from Bereishis parashas Lech Lecha.  "From there he (Avraham) relocated to the mountain east of Beth-el and pitched his tent...."

According to Rashi the term "His tent" is read as ahalo, in the masculine.  However, in the Hebrew it has the same spelling as ahala, meaning "her tent".  Avraham pitched Sara's tent before he setup his tent.

What Does This Teach us About How To Treat Our Wives?

This teaches us two important lessons about how to properly treat our wives.

  1. Man must provide his wife with proper housing
  2. One should honor his wife more than himself
