Kapla building blocks are deceptively simple, yet once children start playing with them, it's tough to get them to stop. A typical Kapla set will have about 200 wooden block. Actually, they are more like building planks. Smooth sanded pine pieces, the are not interlocking nor do they have nails or glue. Each Kapla plank is simply placed one on top of the other and so it is held in place by gravity and balance alone.
