NOTE TO ALL WHO BOUGHT SPM
When helping beginners, whether with Stealth Profit Machine or other software, there are misconceptions which arise, again and again.
These are really the basic ABCs of Internet marketing, which can only be learned by trial and error.
For example, if support actually came round to your house and installed SPM for you, you would never learn yourself. So what good is that?
I know it’s sold as a system for beginners – but you have to come
halfway, of course. (When they say ‘beginners’ they don’t mean
you’ve been living in the Australian outback for, 20 years, just
come back to civilisation, and gone to PC World to buy your first
computer
)
You do really need to learn some of the basics about Internet marketing, if you don’t already. Part of that can be listening to the videos and reading the flowcharts on my videos and flowchart help page. The support desk can tell you to check your FTP settings but if, say, you don’t know what an FTP program is, a support desk simply does not have the time to go through the whole training of that. If you don’t know it – I’m afraid you’re going to have to learn it.
I know many of you have taken to the learning task with gusto – as some of the comments here clearly show – well done; that can be an inspiration to others.
Some have also done loads of work – and had little success. Which is more annoying.
Thankfully, it’s only a very small number who do very little to educate themselves, do not succeed, and then all too easily blame the program for their problems.
It is true that there will be a few glitches with any ‘beta’ software (detailed on the SPM known issues page). But certainly some errors which seem like glitches are actually user error. For example, it turns out that some people are trying to run the software from within their zip programme, and it just will not install. Which it wouldn’t. This is a completely understandable error for a complete beginner, so do watch my video on zip files if this might be you!
Perhaps it was a courageous step to launch beta software to Internet beginners. But at least you get a chance to play with software which is fairly simple to set up (honest folks).
Other auto blogging software (I own two others) has cost me hundreds of dollars, and requires a much higher level of knowledge and very much more work.
So you not only have access to reasonable auto-blogging software but are learning loads about FTP, WordPress, Cpanel, hosting, domain names. This may not be what you expected – but I see it as a real benefit of learning this software.
If you thought $37 was going to make you an Internet marketing
expert overnight I think that would have been optimistic.
Hopefully, there is no-one in that position reading this
blog
I have been talking to Candi in the comments, and this provides a useful case study to look at some of the pitfalls beginners can easily fall into. I am – with Candi’s agreement – going to go through her case step by step, and hope this illustrates to you how you can be successful installing SPM – and learn tons in the process.
I know she has.
