Mark Cuban Wants to Change College Bowl Series

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is now back in the middle of another controversy this one regarding the College Bowl Championship series.  He wants to change it completely and is willing to finance it. 
Cuban, who has not succeeded in purchasing two baseball franchise in recently said that he is interested but in the beginning steps.  He has spoken with college administrators and various legistators about changing the system.
Apparently he is not afraid to spend his own money where sports are concerned.  He would like teams to support his system and is willing to give  money in exchange for it.
I only have one question, could the Mr Cuban change his approach to something where the best of both systems are used so that everyone feels that a better series has emerged?
