Ok. You know what you’re going to market, but where are you going to find the audience? The internet, the newspaper, the telephone? Or are you just planning on placing fliers on cars? Where are the people who want your product or service? How much does the advertising cost?

3. Can your audience find you?
Where are your competitors? Do you know how to find them? Do they know how to find you? It’s very important to put yourself in your customer’s place and try to find what you’re offering. If they can’t find you, it’s time to step back and re-evaluate how your target audience will connect with you and your product, not your competitors.

4. Can you please them?
Now you have your product, your market, and your audience, but can you give them what they really want, when they want it, at the price they want to pay? Have you researched your competitors? Do they sell the same product for less because they buy in bulk? Can you provide something that your competitors cannot? Can you put a twist on it? Is yours better?

5. Commitment
Do you have the drive to keep working when the day has been unproductive? Starting a Home Business can be very challenging to say the least, and without the commitment to push forward, even on the worst of days, you can find yourself thinking… or not knowing what to think! New Year, Same Game

Well, here we are doing something new to excel in our Home Business possibilities like going to CES trying to figure out what new gadgets are going be the rage for 2010. After trying to test and accumulate all the material we could for home study, we came to the conclusion that everything is really just about the same.

We don’t mean that there aren’t any new gadgets out there because there definitely are, but from a Home Business standpoint, nothing has changed including the burning desire to keep up on all of the new gadgets and methods of obtaining information about them!

One of my favorite things about owning a Home Business is the fact that anything goes. What I mean is that since it’s yours, you can research what you want, when you want, on the subject that you want. Not only that, but you can make as much money as you want and make as many other people money if you want!

After all, isn’t having your own Home Business supposed to be just what turns YOU on? It took me awhile at first, to realize that the sky’s the limit on what you choose to make money exploring. And then I decided that if I shared it with enough other people that it would just turn into this big happiness-making engine that would never go away because it’s always growing and always bringing more wealth into other peoples lives!

Yes, all’s well here in this new year. Even if it’s the same old game! It is what it is because it’s everything I wanted to create…and so much more. Go forth, and make your Home Business your dream of dreams, that ace in the hole that you were hoping for. It’s here and now. Just reach out and grab it.

Just recently I was listening to a friend of mine explaining about how her son was doing well at his new job.  When I asked her what exactly he was doing that she was so excited about, she told me this…

“Daryl has recently found an amazing opportunity where he is able to break into the ground level of this big Company at minimum wage & within 5 years he could be making $15 an hour plus benefits!”  She proceeded to explain to me how she knew someone else who had climbed the corporate ladder in the same company, and had retired with a pension that had earned him $1,500 a month!

Needless to say I was speechless.  Was this really anything that I had hoped for one of my children?  I kept asking myself,  what’s wrong with this picture?  Have people lost the drive for something better?  Have the young people that used to be so ambitious become passive & uninterested in achieving the kind of results that make life luxurious and hopeful?

Well, I wasn’t the only one who was listening to what she had to say about her son’s possibilities.  The woman sitting on the other side of me, spoke up before I could respond, and began explaining how her daughter had just earned her biggest check ever in her new network marketing business she started 6 months ago from home.  She had just earned $42,000 in one week and was flying off to the Bahamas’ to celebrate with her boyfriend!

I was thankful that I didn’t have to say a word to my friend about her son’s possibilities, at the same time feeling sorry for her now squelched hopefulness for him.  The other woman went on to say that her daughter was only 21 years old and how proud she was of her moving up the ladder in life.

I thought-  Ok, so she’s moving on up, working from home, without a degree, and never has to punch a time clock or wait around for that annual vacation and Christmas bonus.  And then there’s the money…Lots of money!  She is the CEO of her own Home Business!  Why should anyone with half a brain wait around for that gold watch, and does anyone really want it anyway?

Yes, things have changed.  If you lose your job, selling your house and moving away to where you can find another just isn’t an option anymore!  So what is a good person to do?  How do you take care of your family?  Well the truth is that you can’t rely on the big companies the way we used to.  People are becoming more and more self reliant.

People everywhere are working from home.  They are doing it on the internet in their pajamas.  You see, it used to be that network marketing had a bad name because you were expected to approach your friends and family to get involved in whatever it was that you were selling.  Besides, no one wanted to make cold calls to leads that just slammed the door in your face.
