Are Accredited School Programs Important?

We have started planning for my kid’s post secondary education. As we dig deeper into researching for the various school programs for my kids, I realise that there are many that offer accredited school programs and some did not. It is indeed strange that these schools can offer part accredited school programs while choose not to for some.I was keen to find out why it is so important to attend accredited school program. I have heard that having such certification will help on the chances of getting employment. So I went to speak to someone I knew in the human resource department to get their advises. They said that having attended accredited school programs certainly help as it is a differentiators for the candidates if all else being equal. They went on to mentioned that accredited school programs has obligation to meet certain standard that are set by the accrediting agency. This is to ensure that the school is focus on providing education excellence to the students. Now I have a problem because the my kids are keen to attend certain schools that are not accredited due to her friends being enrolled there. I will have to think of some good convincing reasons to change my kid’s mind. I am also aware of some of my friend’s kids that choose to go to schools that are nearby instead of making sure that the school offer the relevant accredited programs. Such ignorance will come back and haunt them. Once the completed their education, they will find that they have wasted the years in chasing for a certification that do not hold much weight in the corporate world. So as parents to these kids, we have to be responsible and be informed to advise the kids on the right path to take.By: Andy PangAbout the Author:

College Grants – The Best Type of Financial Aid

Do you ever stop to wonder why college grants are often times considered the best type of financial aid? There are many good reasons for this. Once you learn more about grants, as well as the other types of aid, you will be able to make a decision on what you should and should not be doing. Although you may feel that these grants are not available to somebody in your situation, you never know when you will receive an award that can save you a lot of money on the cost of your education. What are you waiting for? There is one main reason why college grants are among the best types of financial aid: you don’t have to repay the money. With a student loan, for example, you are expected to repay what you borrow, plus interest, starting shortly after your graduate. As you can imagine, this will put a lot of stress on you as a recent grad. With college grants, though, you don’t have to repay a single cent. Instead, all of the money is yours to use for college. It is good to know that college grants are “free money” but you also have to consider something else: these are not available to every student. While there are thousands of different grants, you probably won’t be eligible for all of them. Fortunately, if you search hard enough you should be able to find a few grant programs that match what you are looking for.If you get turned down for one grant it is not the end of the world. There is always another one out there, waiting to be had. All you have to do is continue your search, get your application completed for as many grants as possible, and be patient waiting for a decision.Tip: you can apply for as many college grants as you want. There is nothing wrong with application after application with hopes that you will eventually breakthrough and be awarded some money.
The best type of financial aid is money that you do not have to repay. This is where student grants come into play. This is much better than student loans and on par with scholarships.Once you find a few good college grant programs you can apply and hope for the best. If you receive any money it is better than nothing at all. There is no doubt that grants can help you pay for school.By: Christopher B JohnAbout the Author:
