Summary: PSC Backdoors Higher Renewable Fees

[Madison, Wisc ] The failure of a controversial Global Warming bill earlier this year did not stop state regulators from finding a way to force Wisconsinites to pay more for so-called renewable energy investments. State law currently requires investor owned power companies to pay 1.2 percent of their revenue to the PSC for renewable energy programs. The PSC just figured out a way to retrieve almost triple that, and a lame-duck legislative committee approved the request at the State Capitol this week. MacIver News' Bill Osmuslki reports from Madison.
