Every year I would get extra large poster board size paper out and
we would measure even lines, trace them with markers and make June,
July and August calendars. I would draw the month names in bubble
letters and my kids would decorate them. We would hang these
calendars right in the kitchen (on our basement door).

By clearing the clutter out and getting organized, you could
improve your financial situation. When the world is spinning out of
control, common sense and good judgment spin out right along with
it. Poor choices are often made and money carelessly spent to
compensate for feeling bad or guilty. Delaying the inevitable never
fixes anything and will never buy anyone a one-way ticket to easy
street.

Downsizing is a bigger job than we think it will be. There may be
emotional ties to the items that take time to work through. There
may simply be a larger quantity of stuff than we realize. And each
piece needs to be dealt with separately to ensure it's going to the
right place.

"Do It Now!" has been the mantra of the world renowned PEP
(Personal Effectiveness Program) since it was developed in Sweden
in 1984 and "Do It Now" still stands strong today as a mantra with
the right mindset to not waste time. Some of you may remember back
in those ancient times 27 years ago that there was no personal
computer, fax machine, internet, or cell phone (well maybe a few
that weighed 20 pounds) and still PEP was created because people
were having a hard time getting their day-to-day work done. The
devises we use are different today, as they will be tomorrow, but
getting your work done still depends more than anything on your
Personal Work Habits.

abundant. Despite that some people look at time as their enemy, the
truth is that time is our ally. Our vanity might even convince us
that time only brings us one step closer to looking old and
unattractive, but in reality time is our best friend.

When I was a student in the Hotel/Restaurant Management Program,
every chef would always teach, "Clean As You Go". Every time I was
working on a meal this concept became habit forming. I was thinking

life.
