The Sketch-o-Rama youth bedroom The Sketch-o-Rama bedroom set has some cool features. Made entirely of dry erase material anyone can write on the surface wipe it off and start again. Another great feature is that the circles of colors can be changed, and pictures or fabric can be placed in the circles creating customized bedroom furniture.

At our showroom the group has been getting a lot of attention and it is becoming tradition that visiting IMDs (and even some of the staff) take time to sign the furniture.

TNFD - Hard at Work

As the day to move into the new corporate headquarters approaches, Team National Factory Direct is hard at work making all the design decisions regarding the new building. The flooring choice is being made this week as well as the overall color scheme of the interior. Furnishings are being carefully selected not only for the new 12,000 square foot furniture showroom but for the offices and workstations as well.

In addition, Team National Factory Direct is busy picking selections that will appear at the National Convention in Kansas City. Remember that all products that we will be bringing will be available for purchase.

Team National Saves Money on Freight

For 2010 FedEx Freight/National is increasing its pricing by over 5%. Chris, the Operations Manager of Team National Factory Direct met last week with our representative from FedEx Freight/National and confirmed that since we are the largest FedEx Freight/National customer in Southeastern Florida, that we will maintain our current pricing. We are proud to announce that our shipping costs for FedEx Freight/National will be locked in at our 2009 prices for 2010!

TNFD Suggestions.

Monday on Facebook Angela Chrysler asked for suggestions to help us reach a billion dollars. Team National Factory Direct would like to respond to several good suggestions that were posted.

The first suggestion is that Team National Factory Direct provides more detail and more images for the products we offer. We rely on the furniture manufacturers to provide us with all descriptions and product images and we put that information online.  Some of the companies do a better job of photographing and describing their products than others.  This is one of the main reasons we invested and will continue to invest in our Video Library.  We are building a studio at our new facility so we can shoot video on more and more collections of furniture.  However, if you have a specific question about a piece of furniture please contact our customer service department at 800-227-6030 ext 404.

The second suggestion involved including appliances in Team National Factory Direct, the distribution channel for appliances in some states are different than with furniture. Appliances are sold in those states to an exclusive distributor who then sells them to dealers. Because of this way of distribution it they would not be direct from the factory and the savings would not be as significant as we are able to achieve with furniture.

The third suggestion was about offering cabinets through Team National Factory Direct. We have looked into this and the reason we have not moved forward with it is that we cannot at this time find a way to uphold our return policy with cabinets. Because Cabinets need precise measurements for installation and most cabinet companies will not accept returns, at this time, we feel we cannot provide the positive customer service we would like to for this product.

Team National Factory Direct has launched a new website for home improvement products. This site currently includes Bath Tubs, Vanities, lighting, plumbing fixtures and garage storage options with much more to come. The development of this site allowed us to create a site with some amazing features to enhance the customers shopping experience. You can build a custom tub and see what it will look like with your options before purchasing, these products are being offered with a wide range of customization from color to industry leading options.  We have added a zoom tool that allows you to better see the details of the products quickly and easily. In addition, browsing for products has been made easier with the introduction of filtering which allows you to filter results based on your specifications.

High Point Furniture Market

Team National Factory Direct Vice President, Phil Chrysler and Operations Manager, Chris Ramcharitar recently went to High Point Market, the largest furniture tradeshow in the world.  They went in order to scout out new companies to partner with and bring new items to the Factory Direct Website.  This year there were over 188 buildings, 12 million square feet of show space and more than 2000 exhibitors. It was an exciting adventure and together they were able to meet with a with a wide variety of new manufactures who we will be bringing on board and they were able to see the most recent product introductions of our existing vendors.

Exciting Changes and Additions at Team National Factory Direct

You may notice some changes at Team National Factory Direct this week. We have migrated commercial office furniture, K through 12 school furniture, and Billiard and game tables out of home furnishings and into sites of their own. This will provide a wonderful opportunity to expand our selections in these areas and create an easier shopping experience. All sites are available at www.tnfactorydirect.com

We have also added a closeout section to Home Furnishings. When manufactures have items that they are willing to markdown they will be added to our closeout section to provide you with additional savings. Currently, we have several California King Memory foam mattresses and bases on special now. Be sure to check back often to catch the latest manufacture’s specials.

We have also put some new products online in the home furnishings website this week. First we have introduced youth headboards with a built in speaker system that can be hooked up to an MP3 player and comes is either dark brown vinyl or sports themes, that make it a great addition to any child’s room. Furniture Collections - Now at Team National

Team National Factory Direct just launched a new category on our Home Furnishings site called Collections and can be found at Furniture.TNFactoryDirect.com as the top menu item on the left.  There are nearly 25 unique designs that are offered as collections in the same style for your bedroom, dining, and living room and more.  You can now furnish your home with the same design theme throughout.  In addition to adding the collections we have added a new vendor to our program and have put over 150 new products online. The Repertoire Collection will be debuted at the Grand National Convention in Orlando Florida and is going to be added to the new PowerPoint presentation that will be released soon. Hello. My name is Alyssa and I’m in charge of web content for Team National Factory Direct. For the past two years it has been my job to add new products to the various Factory Direct websites. St. Louis - Team National Night at Busch Stadium on Wednesday, June 17, was in a word…Fantastic!

With over 2,000 of our Independent Marketing Directors filling the stands, our presence was heard and the excitement contagious.

Our very own President & CEO Angela Loehr Chrysler threw out the first pitch. (And did an awesome job!)

Double Platinum Jenny Chamberlin, along with our “Soaring with the Eagles” winners led the entire stadium in “Take Me out To The Ballgame” during the 7th inning stretch. You could feel the energy erupting all around.
