They are strickly into marketing!!The motor generator is ok, but the accesories like mufflers, frames, starter motor, aqnd exhaust parts are made of cheap steel which rust like crazy. I have a 4 year old generator with 10 hrs on the unit. The starter had a bad spot in it. Removed generator, and the rust is sca;ing and the main pan is seriously rusted. RV should mean that some stainless should be used to take road salt and be better built than a basement storage type generator. I have a generac basement generator built alot better than this unit. If rplacing a generator, stay away from this overmarketed junk!...Tom

Next placed the head next to the ground to cut and the motor sounded like it was grinding and tearing itself apart.Next tried to cut grass and the little blades of grass actually stopped the blades from turning.This trimmer is a piece of junk and i am returning it today to get a refund.

This machine is significantly under powered and DOES NOT perform as claimed. I've used this lawn mower all summer, and I use the grass catching bagger. The Sens-a-Speed feature does not work adequately. I find that I must "push" the mover along because it does not move along on its own. I spend WAY TOO MUCH energy pushing it. It does not adapt to my walking speed. When the bagger gets full and/or if the grass is moist the weight contributes to the lawn mover's poor Sans-a-Speed performance. IT DOES NOT FUNCTION AS ADVERTISED. Again, this is a very disappointing lawn mover for me. I would not have bought it if I knew then what I know now. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

(More customer reviews)See the reviews others have posted for the 31cc model - wish I had seen these before I bought this as those reviews seem indicative of bigger quality issues at Yard Machines which also seem to be sold under Sears Craftsman brand.As others noted with the smaller model, I had issues out of the box with the pull start.Used the tiller just 3 times before the pull start broke - took it apart and found cheap/plastic/flimsy parts.But tiller was still under warranty so took it to one of their shops to do the repair. 5 months later and still waiting for the part. When it worked, the tiller did the job but couple cautions:
1) with just the one support wheel in front, the tiller kicks side to side and is very hard to balance so you'd better be very big, fit, and strong to handle it because you are going to get a workout.
2) if it leans too much, oil leaks and very difficult to start/run until it burns it all out in great clouds of smoke.
Got this onsale for 279 which is a lot less than listed here and would avoid paying more based on Yard machine quality problems.

(More customer reviews)I have had this washer for almost a year and a half and i'm completely in love with it.The capacity is absolutely amazing.You can pack it to the brim and it will clean everything thoroughly. I don't even pretreat stains anymore. The matching dryer is equally amazing as it will dry everything perfectly in no time.We bought the set knowing we would have to stack them (yes they are stackable if you buy the stacking kit) and we got the pedestals for free but we unfortunately had to store those under a bed until we moved.The high spin barely makes any noise and it does NOT walk across the floor like some of the other brands.The vibration reduction system works beautifully. In fact, when the spin cycle just starts you can see a little wiggle if you watch it but then it smooths out and your clothes come out with practically no water in them. I also absolutely love the silver care feature.This allows me to sanitize the washcloths that i use on my face without using a whole tank of hot water. It simply passes the water over silver plates to clean out the bacteria.I also love the delay start feature.If i don't want to wait up on a load to put it in the dryer i can just set it so that it will go off a couple hours before i wake up.That way the clothes don't set in the washer wet all night and smell musty in the morning.

I can't say enough good things about this washer.In fact, if my washer broke today i would buy it all over again. I've enjoyed using it so much.

(More customer reviews)I got my Yardman mower last Spring on sale for a little over $1000.00 delivered and it has been delivering ever since! I'd recommend this unit to anyone who doesn't want to spend at least twice the amount at Lowes or Home Depot (Yuppy Pergatory!) for basically the same unit.
Anyway, it's a solid piece of equipment that gets the grass mowed with minimum upkeep so far! My advice? Buy and Enjoy!

The first question you have to ask yourself is, Do I really need a lawn tractor? For anything less than 3/4 of an acre, you'll probably want to buy a mower. For larger areas, however, a lawn tractor offers a comfortable, powerful alternative to pushing a mower back and forth all afternoon.
At 17.5 HP (502 cc), this model offers plenty of power-compare to the average of six or seven HP for gas-powered push mowers. The extra HP will come in especially handy if you're dealing with dense, wet grass. It will also make the job go a lot quicker, too. (Note that this model is a little higher in average in terms of HP for lawn tractors.) The twin-blade cutting deck measures 42 inches, which is fine for yards of up to three acres. If you're mowing larger spaces, you'll reduce your mowing time by upgrading to a larger deck and higher horsepower.
The 13AN772G700 is a pleasure to drive, too. Its six-speed transmission includes Yard Machines' "Shift-on-the-Go" transmission, giving you easy, no-clutch shifting using either a foot pedal or hand lever. This is a nice feature, as it allows you to easily slow down for tight spots or obstacles without having to hit a clutch, then ramp up again for the straightaways. The machine also has a nicely cushioned low-rise seat which, along with the 20-inch by 8-inch rear tires, make for a comfortable ride. The 18-inch turning radius is typical of most lawn tractors.

(More customer reviews)I paid about $1650 total in March for this mower on Amazon, including a $250 delivery charge. Even with the delivery charge this price was a bit cheaper than Tractor Supply. $1400 is a steal.

I manage about 17 acres of relatively hilly pasture and am very happy with this machine. Blows through small saplings and multiflora rose with no problems (swisher advertises that "if you can run over it with the atv, you can cut it with this" and nothing I've experienced contradicts that).

The beauty of this mower is that it does not know if it's going uphill. I mowed for years with an underpowered tractor and brushhog and had to hold my breath whether I would get up a hill without stalling.

The remote clutch engage mounts to the back of an atv, which is a nice feature. Also if you get the electric start the ignition switch is also on the remote clutch, so you can turn the mower on or off without dismounting the atv.

I pull my mower with a 420cc honda rancher with no problems even up some pretty big hills. Swisher recommends at least 300cc for atv towing.

Pros
--plenty of power.
--Can offset machine. Pulling with a garden tractor (swisher recommends at least 16 hp) would cut an 88" swath. Also good for cutting around trees or in ditches or cutting multiflora rose (saves having to drive over it and risking your atv tires).
--remote clutch attachment/starter is great
--easily adjust cutting height from 2-7 inches.
--articulating hitch allows mower to follow contours of land without stressing atv hitch or mower tow bar.
--Does not seem to bottom out as much as my old pto driven brush hog. Handles most bottom-outs without stalling.
--electic ignition. Save yourself headaches and get this if the wife wants to mow too.

Cons
--A fair amount of assembly required upon shipment, with not great directions. Took me about 4 hours from opening crate to mowing. You don't need to be a mechanic or small-engine guy (for example, the belt is already installed), but the instructions are minimal (though exploded views are helpful). It's a relatively simple machine, but you need to have some basic skills/knowledge.
--getting it out of the shipping crate is a bit of a chore.
--For electric start, battery not included (uses a stock small 12v tractor battery, about $20).
--Extra fuel consumption, since you are running two engines (tow vehicle and mower). Not as bad as I thought though.
--tows a bit farther behind than typical pto driven mower. Takes a little getting used to.
--comes with no owners or repair manual, but you can download them from swisher's website.
-if grass gets real high, the wheels can flatten it so that it doesn't get cut. If you are a perfectionist, may need to take a second pass perpendicular to first.
--made for trails and pastures, not for finish applications. If you want a golf-course look, you want something called a finish mower. Swisher makes these as well.

(More customer reviews)I have spent considerable time researching the best pressure washer (PW) to buy this summer as I have a growing list of projects where a PW would come in handy. The results of my research are Honda Engine/CAT Pump. I came to this conclusion mainly by talking with people who use PW's in their business or in a serious hobby. The best price I found was a Dewalt unit that was advertised at $749 for a DP3100. Most pictures on web sites show a CAT pump on it. Some pictures showed a black cover over the pump which indicated to me that it was not a CAT pump, why hide one. I determined that I would not buy online because of this. Home Depot ran a sale on these machines over Memorial day weekend 2007. I found it for $629. I went to the Home Depot closest to me, got one on a cart, and asked the sales associate to open the box, as I wanted to see the CAT pump for myself before buying it: Woops -no CAT Pump - only the black box hiding "some kind of pump". I declined to buy it, went to another Home Depot 11 miles away, went through the same procedure, and found that DP3100 with a CAT pump plainly visible. The manufacturer is obviously building this unit with two different pumps, which reminds me of the old saying: "Buyer Beware". I used my new machine today and it works great, as I expected a Honda Engine with CAT pump to operate. Love the machine -hate the "shell game".

(More customer reviews)The set was purchased as a gift for me by my husband in an effort to make laundry easier (larger capacity = less loads) and be more effecient - it uses 1/3 the amount of water my un-he top loader did.He purchased the wfw9200sq elec. dryer as well.

While it was being delivered from Lowe's the installation man told me "be ginger with the doors, they break a lot, but a lot less than they used to."Okay.

The machine worked great for 5 days, then at 6am with much laundry to be done, I pressed power, put in a load, added the soap to the cheap plasticky soap dispenser (which I figured would be the first thing to go on the machine) and BEEEP BEEEEP BEEEP!!!!!F 26 flashes on the machine three times.So, I tried again.BEEEEPBEEEEP BEEEPF 26.Then I unplugged it.Then I tried it again.Then I called Whirlpool who said to unplug it.Which I did.BEEP BEEP BEEP F26.
"What does that mean?" I ask..
"Don't know" she said."Never heard of F26 coming up on a display."
The she said they would dispatch someone in ONE WEEK.I explained that would not do, this machine was only a few days old.They gave me a priority service call (which I did not pay for) and the guy came the next morning.

He showed me a combination of buttons to push to get into some diagnostic mode to remedy the issue but assured me this was a fluke and would not happen again.
"What does F26 mean?"I asked.
" It's a door thing", he said, "but it's no big deal.Won't happen again."
" Why doesn't the phone-in customer service guy tell you the button combination and save the service call?"
I ask.
"Don't know" he said.

He leaves and literally 20 mintues later... BEEEP BEEEP BEEP F26 error.I tried the diagnostic code trick.Still with the "F26" error.

Then I tried to call the service man on his cell phone 3 times and he didn't answer.Then I called Whirlpool.They said they could send someone..... in ONE WEEK.

I went back to Lowes that day and asked that it be returned.I got a whirlpool cabrio top loader (thinking I would avoid the front loader door problem altogether) which was close to $1000 cheaper -- it is extremely loud, but no operational problems with it so far.

Bottom line, maybe I got a lemon, but 5 days of regular use and the thing blew up.It was quiet and did clean the clothes nicely and spun them almost dry so that the dryer need not run excessively.But I still wouldn't recommend it.$2500 for the pair is a lot of money.

(More customer reviews)This is the worst consumer product I have ever bought. Worse than any bad dell laptop or any other appliance. The sad thing is, that it does a great job washing dishes and is pretty quiet while doing it. Frigidaire seems to think that their solution to a ventless design is to let steam escape during drying from out the sides and top of the door. Within 6 months, my cabinets and doors were ruined by the constant steam. The finish peeled and cracked. was covered under warranty by maker of cabinets but clearly wasn't their fault. Then a few months later, the thing started blinking and would only sporadically respond to button presses and would only do random things not necessarily what I pressed. Service came out and replaced buttons and circuit board (under warranty). That circuit board started to cause my dishwasher to randomly make crazy noises at random times of day regardless of whether or not the dishwasher was actually run that day. Came out again and said they could not duplicate the problem, I asked them to stay until it did it again, and of course it started doing it again at 2am so they had left. Well, now I can get a new circuit board because it died again. lights blinking, then nothing. oh wait, nothing but then 5 minutes later burning smell and smoke. unplugged unit, thankfully I was home and prevented a bigger fire or explosion. Now it is past warranty and repair is $200 for the same crappy circuit board. if you ever get a chance to look at the circuit board, it resembles the technology of your old atari 2600 but actually costs more, does less and is extremely prone to failure. Over the years, frigidaire has made small changes to the design from an aesthetic point, but not from a functional point, the newer 2010 model still has the same lousy design. do a search on frigidaire circuit board failiure or frigidaire fire or frigidaire cabinet steam and see the many complaints. some have even gone so far as to make their own site dedicated to the problems with dishwasher. i am hoping to get a few more months out of this piece of garbage and find something else on sale. a complete waste of hundreds of dollars. so 1 year, 2 replaced circuit boards, should have been 3, replaced cabinet doors and have had a total of 3 weeks of no dishwasher.

(More customer reviews)I have the spiral cutter on the 20" unit. I have been having this unit for one year and have had my share of problems. When I first received the unit, it would not shift. Grizzly came to the conclusion the unit was damaged and sent me a new knob and shaft with no instructions on how to repair. It is not easy to replace the shaft, so I decided to use it with one gear.

The indexed spiral cutter blades were torqued so tight that I stripped three star screw drivers and only loosened one cutter. The unit comes with a very small star allan type wrench which in no way can loosen the screws. I had to get an impact wrench to loosen 90 cutters. Had to replace several stripped screws. Once all 90 cutter blades were rotated, the little blades left uneven markes on the wood. The blades are supposed to be indexed so that they are self aligning. That is not happening here, I am frustrated and wasted a full day working on trying to align the blades. If you are considering a spiral cutter, you may want to think hard about the old straight blades.

Next thing to happen is the start capacitor blow up. Grizzly said my one year warranty was up by one month. So I purchased a new one which Grizzly sent by Postal Service that took one week to get to me, even after I asked them to send it via UPS. It is very difficult to change the capacitor because of the location of the motor. It seems as if Grizzly is using cheap capacitor because now my Jointer is down awaiting a start capacitor... I am not sure I would buy from Grizzly again.

You'll notice near the bottom of my review I question whether or not this product gets a 12:1 reduction ratio. Well now there is no question. It doesn't! I picked up a cub cadet 2" chipper shredder, deciding to spend the extra money and get something more robust. It claims a 10:1 reduction ration. OMG! Leaves are so finely shredded with my cub cadet, it almost looks like dirt! ECHO, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. 12:1 reduction! Yeah right!!!!

I have an Echo PB-403T back pack leaf blower and an Echo 12" chainsaw. They usually charge a premium for their products, but for that, you get a great product. I am saddened to say that my $50 electric Black and Decker is MUCH better than this $250 Echo!

I didn't care about the blower capabilities and immediately tried putting on the vacuum attachment. You have to open the housing that covers the blades and hold it open (the lid will spring close shut if you don't). Then, you have to grab the vacuum hose, place it over the blades and (get this) use a SCREWDRIVER to clamp tighten it on! At first I thought, meh, poor design decision, but I'll never be taking this baby off again so no problem, right? WRONG! I'll explain why in a bit.

The discharge tube twists on. Now why they didn't make the vacuum tube also twist on is beyond me. Hey, Echo! My $50 Black and Decker's vacuum hose twists on! Anyway, I then velcro attach the bag to the discharge tube. The strap for the bag is very thin and has NO padding on it. Whatever, let's see how this baby works!

While not with any amazing force, it does suck up leaves, pine cones and needles well enough. However, it *always* clogs. If it sucks a pine cone, just one pine cone, there's pretty much an 80% chance it will clog! Suck up a lot of leaves? Same thing. Hey...shouldn't this thing not clog on leaves? The chopper on this product is simply not up to the task of mulching. So, the big question: how do you clear the clog?

You have a few options and I tried them all. One, you can simply take the hose off and clear the clog. OH THAT'S RIGHT! IT'S ATTACHED WITH A CLAMP THAT YOU HAVE TO UNSCREW WITH A SCREWDRIVER, ISN'T IT? I have an acre of property and I have to walk back to get the screwdriver (which they provide) to do this. Ok, clog cleared. Let's go!

Literally, 20 seconds later, it clogs again. Hmmmm...there must be some anti-clog feature I'm not aware of because there's simply no way Echo expects me to take this thing off every 20 seconds. Alas, there is none. So I tried a second approach.

My second approach was to try and dig the clog out with a stick. Needless to say at this point I'm looking for my receipt to take this back to the Home Depot! Also needless to say, I wasn't happy with this method.

The third method was to shut it off, then pull start it again. Ok, this was actually working. Now mind you, I'm not exaggerating when I say this puppy was getting clogged up every 20 seconds. So every 20 seconds it was shut off the vac then pull start it again. So I'm trying to decide whether or not I can live with this when a pine cone gets lodged underneath the blades and my new found technique wasn't working this time. Sigh, get the screwdriver out, take the hose off, etc., etc., etc. When I cleared it this time, I didn't reattach the hose. Instead, I put it right back in the box, returned to the Home Depot and got my money back!

Other things I noted:

o It doesn't lie flat - What was Echo thinking? I mean, did *anybody* over there test this thing? If they did, the moment they tried to put gas in it would be the moment they said, "Ok, so this has got to change!"
o It doesn't come with an extension discharge hose - MY $50 BLACK AND DECKER HAS ONE!!!! With one, you don't need a bag at all. Just get your leaves near your compost bin, attach one end to the vac and the other inside your bin. $250 and Echo didn't include one!
o The vacuum tube is one long tube that doesn't split in half. On my Black and Decker, the vacuum tube is two separate pieces that twist together. Why is this an issue? Imagine a gigantic pile of leaves right next to your compost bin. How long are you going to stand there mulching that thing? I have flat feet and don't like standing hours and hours and hours. So with my B&D, I put a seat next to the pile, take half the vacuum tube off, sit down and mulch away. With a long tube, you have to actually hold the thing up high to get leaves near you that are on the ground. Again, this is one of those things that Echo would have noticed themselves if they actually bothered testing it!
o I believe the 12:1 reduction claims are dubious at best. My B&D claims a 10:1 reduction ratio and the results looked exactly the same. Some whole leaves got through the mulcher.

Do NOT buy this product. Unfortunately, until I find something decent, I'm stuck with my B&D.
