(More customer reviews)I recently moved to the Chicago suburbs and bought this can to use as my garage workshop trash can.I have to say that although this can is not the largest on the market, it is EXTREMELY durable.The plastic is very heavy gauge and seems to have no problem withstanding the cold Chicagoland winter temperatures.No matter how heavy I load it up, the can keeps its shape and stands up to any abuse I or the garbage man throw at it.Also, the lid snaps on easily and very securely so there is no danger of it blowing off overnight.

In my opinion this is the best wheel-less trash can you can buy!

Because the pivot has no lock, it wants to flop around when you're winding. And there's no hose guide, so if your hose isn't lined up with reel when you're rewinding, it's not gonna want to wind onto reel. But at least it's not plastic!

(More customer reviews)A hose reel in a garage in my opinion is a necessity. No more messy hoses lying all over the floor, getting run over, cut, etc. The Legacy L8306 is a wonderful addition to my garage!
The 75' hose is great, that 25' additional length comes in handy!
The hose on the reel I replaced with the Legacy model always wanted to bunch up when retracting into it. Thanks to the wonderful layering mechanism in the Legacy reel, it doesn't suffer from that problem. The hose retracts neatly and evenly every time!
I found the 3' lead-in hose to be adequate, as my garage is hard-plumbed and connecting it to the air line was a breeze, and the reel also comes with a handy wall mount bracket allowing me to reposition and secure it at different angles if needed.
I would recommend this reel to anyone looking for reasonably priced, convenient, air hose storage.

Even with two sirens working, and one mounted with only window glass and the outside, you still cannot hear it from even a short distance away. The alarm system is loud enough for the inside of the house, but it will not allert a neighbor, which was a feature that I was looking for. Other than that, the system works as advertised and is ease to set up and install.

(More customer reviews)I bought this kit to keep in the house and avoid having to run to my larger tool chest in the garage when I need a couple of basic tools.In general, the tool quality is good for general household use, and I really only have two complaints about the kit.

The first that is that the ratchet is basically junk (but what can you really expect for $43?).It's O.K. for light duty work, but don't expect to crank on it very hard without it breaking.If you think you'll need this tool often, consider buying a higher quality ratchet and socket kit.

The other issue that I have is that there are no wrenches included in the kit.I plan on picking up a cheap crescent wrench to add to mine. (Come on, Stanley, increase the price a few bucks if you have to, but make this a complete kit by adding a crescent wrench!)

Finally, the plastic box that the tools come in is nice from the standpoint of being able to quickly locate a tool, but the box takes up a lot of storage space.I bought a small tool bag to keep the tools in, and I found it more convenient.You have to look a little closer to find the tool you want with the bag, but there aren't enough pieces in this kit to create problems finding tools.

It is very heavy which I believe is due to the weight of the battery inside. Feels like I'm carrying around a motorcycle battery or small car battery. At any rate I've used this during power outages to run my DSL modem and laptop, lights and to recharge cell phones. I am a photographer and also use this to power my fluorescent light systems, strobes, printers, etc. where there is no power outlet. The unit will only last a few hours with high drain devices, so use it sparingly. If you only use it for sporadic needs, it is an incredible resource. The radio and weather alert is very good too, as is the alarm clock. VERY durable case and the crash bars really support the unit, not just for show. If you try to plug in something with too high a power drain, the unit will shut down (safety feature). Not for heaters or other high-drain devices. This is NOT a power source to keep your house up and running in an outage. But it is a very reliable source of power for those small and medium needs that become BIG needs in a power outage or where you don't have an outlet. If this had a jumpstart option it would be perfect.

(More customer reviews)After purchasing several canopies and gazebo's from Lowe's which did not survive any breaze over 10 mph or rain over one inch, I decided to purchase a canopy that could be partially disassembled if a storm is forcasted to come to my backyard.

The canopy itself does need more than two people to set up since most peoples' wing span is less than the width of the canopy.It takes two people to pull it apart plus one to hold the other side still.Once the canopy is fully extended, placing the cover over it is fairly simple once you have the corner seams in the corners and the top braces in the center of the cover.Deploying the four corner legs can be done with one person.Once you have it all together, the straps on the underside of the canopy can be secured to the frame.I gave it less than five stars for the difficulty of threading the polyester straps throug the plastic buckles.If the straps wasjust a couple of inches longer it would be a much easier excercise.

Report from the first "frog choker" rain we had last night.I had about three inches of rain on my pool cover and found that the corners of the cover pulled through the frame.The frame appeared to be bent, but I think that the frame is OK since what I think I witnessed was the "torgue" of the frame causing the legs to 'splay" outwards.Once I placed the corners back on the frame, the legs seemed to straighten back up again.The corners are lined with velcro as are the corner poles, so a nice fit is always there.I think that the unit will survive a gust of wind as long as its protected from strong, consistent winds from any direction (people from the breadbasket states take note. :)Overall I am satisfied with the construction and fit.I don't think that the unit can be placed in a unprotected area without some wind damage.It seems to handle rain although the makers might consider placing rivets in the canopy at strategic places to drain the collected rain water.

(More customer reviews)First, let me start by addressing the other reviews that have been critical of the quality of the Haier Tabletop Wine Cellar.I've used mine for over a month with no issues, and I believe I may have an explanation for others' perceived problems.The unit works by cycling a cooling fan on and off as needed, so it doesn't continuously run like most refrigerators do.Also, its thermostat is extremely particular, i.e. if it senses that it's cold enough, you can't turn it down low enough to force the fan to kick on.Finally, remember that this is a wine cooler, not a mini-fridge, and that wine isn't meant to be kept as cold as other beverages.We have our unit stored in a pantry on the coldest corner of our house and it keeps the wine right while barely running the fan.These circumstances could lead to a misperception that the unit has completely stopped working when in fact, it's just accurately having an "off" cycle.If my Wine Cellar ever does truly stop working, I'll certainly update this review.

Potential dependability issues aside, there are still critical problems with the Tabletop Wine Cellar that keep it from being a realistic solution for most people.The most immediate one is size - when you pull it out of the box, you'll scratch your head wondering whether or not you really picked up the model for "Tabletop" use.Somewhere in the world, counters must be much deeper than where I live!I can't verify the dimensions that are quoted above, but the depth seems suspiciously small.Plus, the instructions for the unit specify that it needs several inches of clearance on the back and sides for ventilation.Taking this additional space into consideration, the Cellar is about the size of a microwave oven but much deeper.Our solution was to put it sideways on a microwave cart in a separate room;however, having to do so is a pretty big deviation from the way that it's advertised.In case you're planning on building it into a cabinet or bar as a workaround, the instructions prohibit that as well (again for ventilation concerns).

The second issue is that even as big as the Wine Cellar is on the outside, it's ironically cramped on the inside.Any bottle bigger than 750 mL will not fit unless you remove one of the wire racks, thus reducing it to an eight-bottle capacity (four 750 and four larger ones).Even if you stick with the standard bottle volume, some unusually-shaped bottles will still not fit.For instance, we found that the extra tall, skinny bottles of Chateau Ste. Michel have to be put in diagonally so that basically only one bottle fits per shelf and then you've got to be careful that it doesn't roll out when you open the door.

On the positive side, the unit is very quiet - even when the fan is running, it's no louder than the fan on a new PC.It's also attractively styled in black with the appearance of a brushed pewter frame for the glass door.The door seal and hinge both feel solid and sturdy.The thermostat actually does result in a range of temperatures, but this of course precludes storing white and red together.

To sum up, the Haier Wine Cellar attempts to do the impossible - providing a chiller spacious enough for a case of wine yet compact enough to fit neatly on a kitchen countertop - but ultimately can't quite do it.I haven't experienced any of the motor failure problems that others have described (yet);mine has been a reliable performer.Unfortunately, the additional workaround of where to keep the unit and what to do about the bottles that won't fit in it reduce the Wine Cellar to much less than a hassle-free solution.

(More customer reviews)I just purchased my second can and love them.The funnel is hard to put on but if you really pull back the handle it goes on pretty easily.The newer one works a bit easier than the older one.I agree with others that if the gas is stored in a hot area you shold release the pressure before pouring but the tank does not expand like my pastic cans do.When transpoting in the back of an SUV or car there is NO odor escape.I use them for tractors, lawn mowers, etc with no problem but I can see that if you were trying to pour into a car or truck filler door that was vertical it could be a problem getting sufficient gas into the vehicle.
