Traser Classic Pro Automatic Watch T4004 Review

(More customer reviews)The Traser Automatic in the Traser Classic Series is clearly the best watch I have owned. After a year of beating under tough conditions, this watch is outstanding. The technology used for the tritium is top of the line. I am able to read the time on my Traser under any light conditions with ease. The "glow" is unlike that of my other military style watches in that the luminescent markings do not need to be "charged" for clear visibility. The automatic 25 jewel Swiss movenemnt has proven to be far more reliable than on my Seiko Auto Diver (which I have faithfully worn for 20 years). My frind has the Oric BC3 and I would stack my Traser up to it any day...and report that the Traser's tritium is far advanced comparitively.
This is by far the best watch out there for the money. Buy with confidence.

Pro Diver Collection
Plunge into any horizon using the steadfast guidance of the Invicta Pro Diver. Stylishly classic, internal workings are forged with variations of either Swiss chronograph or 21-jewel automatic movements and willingly navigate in depths up to 300 meters. Built with confident prowess, the fortitude with which these timepieces function makes the Pro Diver the quintessential in performance.
Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.
Automatic Watches

Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

The Omega Story
The Omega watch story begins in 1848, when founder Louis Brandt began hand assembling key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen in his principality La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the northwest corner of Switzerland. (More customer reviews)I tend to do a lot of research on a product before I commit to purchasing it.I have always wanted one of the higher end watches (for me Omega, Oris and Ball applies) and I couldn't see spending so much money at this time on a watch.I've had a Luminox which is a great watch, but I wanted something a little more dressy, a little classy and a little different for my job.I read about the Invicta watches and I was back and forth with the pros and cons.I read a review mentioning Orient so I thought I'd check them out.
There are not so many reviews for Orient, but from what I've learned they haven't been sold in the U.S. for as long as other brands.The movement of their watches is made in-house.
Once I saw this yellow one is an Amazon exclusive, I was sold.This is my first automatic so I'm no expert nor do I know all the technical watch jargon.I'm just a guy who wants to wear a nice looking watch.Every few days I check the time against my Casio atomic watch and find the Orient is off usually 30 seconds to a minute which is just fine for me.I wear it all the time except when I'm getting ready for work.I've received a few compliments at work from co-workers who like it as well.
There are a couple things that could be better that I've found.The illumination of the markers doesn't last long at all and depending on the lighting, the hands can be a little difficult to see against the yellow face.Overall the watch is beautiful and I feel it is well made.The band is brushed on the front and on the sides it is polished.The watch has a great overall weight too.The watchband tool that came with is worked flawlessly.I took one link out from each side and it fits perfectly.
I'm now trying to figure out which Orient I want next.I think I'll get my brother one who'll be getting married in a couple weeks.

Orient is an international watch company, with representation in over 70 countries. Since their inception in 1950, Orient has focused their attention to mechanical self-winding watches. This technology simply means that the energy of the movement of the watch is used to power a micro-mechanical timing device. This "green" technology, although may sound futuristic, was designed over a hundred years ago.
This collection is no different and is completely mechanical. The dial for this watch comes with both day and date indicators located at the 3 o'clock position. The day indicator is adjusted by unscrewing the push-button, located on the 2 o'clock position, and pushing the button for the specific day. The date indicator is adjusted by the crown (time-setting piece) located on the 3 o'clock position.
This watch has a two-level crown which adjusts both the time and the date. The 1st level corresponds to the time while the 2nd level corresponds to the date. To adjust either level, you must first loosen the screw-down crown. The purpose of a screw-down crown is so that water does not enter the case. Not only does the crown have shoulders for added protection, but it also has the official orient logo engraved on the crown.
Another attribute that adds to the value of this watch is its unidirectional bezel. The purpose of this feature is so that you can adjust the time bezel to the minute hand to see how many minutes have gone by. The time hands, as well as the hour indicators, are both luminescent. This allows for the owner to view the time during the evening.
The band for this series comes in either stainless steel metal or black urethane. In the metal band variation, the links come in matte finish. You will notice the fold-over-push-button-clasp-with-safety and how it gives added protection so that the watch does not come off inadvertently. Unlike the metal band, the urethane variation comes in a buckle clasp.
Since this collection is so popular, Orient offers a total of 8 variations to this watch: 4 with metal bands and 4 with urethane bands. Within the metal bands, there are different dial and bezel colors: black dial on black bezel, blue dial on blue bezel, blue dial on blue/orange bezel, and orange dial on black bezel. Likewise, the urethane band variation has different dial and bezel colors: black dial on black bezel, blue dial on blue/orange bezel, blue dial on blue bezel, and orange dial on black bezel.
