(More customer reviews)I bought this
adapter so I could plug in a GPS unit and an FM transmitter for my
iPod into the car's cigarette lighter socket at the same time. It
works great.
From looking at the product image before I bought the adapter, I
wasn't sure if it was the right adapter because the dual sockets
looked a little strange in the picture. However, what you're seeing
in the image are the spring-loaded safety covers. When you plug in
your device, the safety cover gets pushed into the socket.
The adapter can swivel 90 degrees, which is a nice feature when
you're trying to get the wires from your devices out of your way
and not wrapped around the car's gear stick.

been able to review a lot of data logger, and this one makes me
have mixed feeling about it.
+ : the lcd display contains useful information, speed, memory
status (%), altitude, etc..
- : you need to UNPLUG It to use it in the car.
the software part isn't reliable to get the log, unless you use a
third party software such as :

which supports natively the mainnav products
the shape of the gps is pretty "squarry" and if you want a flat
model, look for the visiontac vp900

poorly designed product, all the way around. It has the cosmetic
appearance of a very low-end electronic product. The cable from the
remote to the base unit is bulky & short.Lousy design making it
hard to install. The base unit is massive and hard to conceal under
the dash.Power needs to come from your 12v accessory/cigarette
lighter on the dash.Again, making it hard to conceal/install.To sum
up.......Save Yourelf Plenty of Frustration, and AVOID this
product.

(More customer reviews)This is my first
GPS unit.Having used and loved the Magellan units in Hertz rental
cars, I watched and waited for prices to go down below the $1k
mark. These are my first impressions:
The 2730 worked right out of the box -- I just plugged the power
cable into the cig lighter, removed the 2730's snap-on screen
protector, slid the unit into the weighted base, placed it on the
dashboard and powered it up.In spite of the car being parked in the
shadow of a 10-story high-rise, the unit quickly locked onto
multiple satellites and gave an accurate location textual and
graphical readout.
The included manual could be better organized and have more
detailed explanations, but the 2730's front panel button controls
are fairly intuitive for basic tasks.Menu navigation is easy.
(Note, I did download and skim the manual from Amazon before
purchasing the unit. I suggest you do the same.)Haven't used the
included remote control yet, and at first glance there may not be
much need for it.
The screen is a bit small (for my middle-aged eyes), but once you
learn its layout, a quick glance at appropriate spots on the screen
gives you useful reference data: next turn instruction (text),
distance to next waypoint (number), speed, ETA, etc.Within the
menus the display and choices of data can be modified.
With my wife driving, I entered our travel destination in Tribeca
-- lower Manhattan / NYC (40+ miles away).Using the touchscreen was
easy and intuitive. The unit's routing calculation was fairly
quick. However, we checked the traffic report (on the old fashioned
AM radio news station!) and found that the 2730's selected route
would take us down the FDR drive which had some
congestion. Moreover, the FDR is on the East side, whereas our
destination is closer to the West side. The 2730 couldn't be faulted
for the congestion, but the East side routing seemed strange. We
started off by followed the unit's initial routing instructions (to
stay on I-95 south), but soon veered off onto familiar local
parkways which we knew would take us over towards the West side of
NYC.As soon as we got off-course, the Garmin quickly recalculated,
and anticipated the route we intended (which turned out to be a tad
longer -- perhaps why it was not chosen in the first place).
The speaker volume (with clearly-spoken instructions) was
adjustable to suit our car's noisy interior.Driving down the West
Side Highway, the 2730 did not give us sufficient SPOKEN warning to
prepare for an upcoming left turn -- however, the left turn
instruction was clearly laid out in text on the screen.Igot the
impression at that particular point that our physical location was
a few 100 feet ahead of the GPS coordinates (perhaps due to limited
GPS reception from our location in NYCity).
I am sure there is much more to discover about the 2730 (I haven't
tried Points Of Interest or the XM Satellite radio options). After
the first trip, I would say I like the unit, find it to be very
high-quality, and sold in a convenient bundle with all of the
accessories needed (at least those that are apparent now). Some
critiques are that the 2730:
1) screen is small
2) is very expensive
3) no internal battery for portable operation (needs to be plugged
in to 12v source)
4) instruction manual has extremely limited information. Lots
ofhidden functionality i.e. difficult to find out how to input
locations without a specific address (to mark, name and save a
current location -- like a camping spot -- in memory).
Bottom line is if you can spend $800 - $1k, it's a very good GPS
bundle.(Note: as of 2007, price is about half!)
ADDENDUM from Trips 2 and 3 (commuting to and from work):
The routing software chose the fastest, most direct route, using a
combination of highway and back roads -- impressive and efficient.
The map accuracy is very good, except for a few quirks like calling
a company campus entrance road an "alley."
Mounting on the dashboard is good for a heads-up navigation
display. The beanbag-style weighted portable base is suitably heavy,
BUT the unit can go flying off the dashboard during a sharp
turn.
Turning on the WAAS function (for more accurate location reading)
significantly slows down initial satellite capture.
The trip computer offers lots of functionality as well sa
quantitative and predictive data.
2007: I still use the unit regularly, find it useful and reliable,
although a bit bigger and bulkier thatn some of the newer Garmins
(but with smaller screens).
Telephone support by Garmin has been very good.
Have not used the XM Radio option for traffic -- have not heard
that traffic info in the NY Metro area is sufficiently real-time or
comprehensive.

Garmin StreetPilot 2730 3.8 Inch Portable GPS
Navigator
Product Description:
Knowledge is power, and thanks to the advanced technology packed
into the Garmin StreetPilot 2730, you'll get plenty of both. The
big news about this model in comparison to its predecessor, the
2720, is the addition of XM radio capabilities. With a subscription
to XM radio services, you'll get real-time XM NavTraffic, XM WX
Weather, and XM Radio service. What does all that mean? When
coupled with Garmin's legendary GPS technology, it means you'll
always know not only exactly where you are, and but also what lies
ahead.
The StreetPilot 2730 is ready to go right out of the
box.
Navigation begins with a simple screen. View
larger
Thanks to XM-powered traffic data that is integrated into the
unit's 3-D map display, you can see what hazards or traffic
disruptions are in your area. View larger
Load up your favorite MP3s and play them. View
larger
Or, listen to programming on XM radio. View
larger
And don't forget to check the weather, which is also powered
by XM. View larger The Power of XM Radio
XM NavTraffic is the first nationwide satellite-based data traffic
information service to enable an onscreen overlay of current
traffic conditions. The StreetPilot 2730 uses this data to
automatically calculate and suggest faster alternative routes long
before traffic starts backing up. Accidents, road construction, or
other incidents affecting traffic are graphically represented as
icons on the navigation map. Precise information relating to a
traffic incident is also available, including the precise location
of the incident, the lanes affected, and the predicted duration.
What's more, roadways are color-coded to indicate directional
traffic flow speed.
The 2730 also keeps you up to date on weather conditions, thanks to
XM weather data. Current weather conditions for over 2,000
locations, and weather forecasts for 162 cities, are displayed on
the screen. United States county storm and flood warnings are also
highlighted, giving you the best and latest information available
for your travel plans.
The 2730 is also a powerful entertainment device, as it offers more
than 150 channels of XM satellite radio channels, featuring
100-percent commercial-free music, as well as more than 30 channels
of news, sports, and talk. You can send XM and navigation audio to
your car stereo through the StreetPilot's integrated FM wireless
transmitter or via an integrated 3.5 mm stereo headphone/line-out
plug. And if that's not enough, the 2730 also comes equipped with
an MP3 player that lets you take your personal music collection on
the road. Loading music from your computer is drag-and-drop easy,
and there's no need for special software. The StreetPilot 2730 also
works as an audiobook player; you can download books from
audible.com and enjoy your favorite authors on the road.
An included GXM 30 antenna receives and processes all XM traffic,
weather, and audio data. For maximum portability, the magnetic,
waterproof, puck-size antenna can be placed on the dashboard or the
roof of the vehicle.
Top-Tier GPS Performance
Don't forget that the 2730 is a high-end GPS navigation device with
text-to-speech functionality that allows the unit to audibly
announce the names of upcoming streets and points of interest. This
lets you keep your eyes on the road while you navigate through busy
traffic and tricky roadways. The 2730 also features a widescreen,
automotive-grade touchscreen display that automatically dims and
brightens based on ambient light conditions. And an included
wireless remote control can be used to operate the device's
functions.
Finding your way with the 2730 starts with inputting a location on
the touchscreen. Next, the unit's text-to-speech feature speaks to
you just like a back-seat driver, telling you the names of streets,
when to turn, and in what direction. And if you happen to miss a
turn, don't worry--the 2730 automatically calculates a new route to
your destination. In addition to point-to-point navigation, the
2730 can calculate the most efficient route between multiple
destinations--a real time-saver for realtors, salespeople, and
errand runners. You can also tell the unit to avoid specific areas
or road segments when calculating a route. With the 2730, you have
the option of selecting a three-dimensional mapping perspective, or
one of several 2-D overhead viewing options. What's more, audible
and visual navigation instructions and warnings help you navigate
more quickly while keeping your eyes on the road.
An integrated dash-mounting system provides easy adjustment and
quick release, or you can use the included "bean bag" mount if you
don't want to add a mount to your dash. An included speaker
attachment that is built into the 12-volt cigarette lighter adapter
enables the 2730 to deliver voice prompts. An internal antenna that
communicates with up to 12 GPS satellites is provided, as is a USB
port for PC connectivity. There's also an MCX-type connector for
hooking up an optional external GPS antenna. And if you need
waterproofing, the 2730 is up to the challenge; it meets IEC 60529
IPX7 standards, which means it's submersible in one meter of water
for up to 30 minutes.
Another time- and frustration-saving feature of the 2730 is the
database of preloaded maps and points of interest. Gone are the
days of uploading partial maps from your computer to your GPS
device: the 2730 has them all built in. The unit comes preloaded
with Garmin's highly detailed MapSource City Navigator NT North
America maps of the entire United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Finding points of interest along your route is made easy with the
2730's huge built-in database of nearly six million hotels,
restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions. Garmin has also
made it easy for users to upload custom points of interest--now you
can add school zones or safety cameras to your database. You can
even turn on a proximity alert to notify you of upcoming custom
points of interest.
Note: Subscriptions are required for XM NavTraffic and XM
Radio services.

View Your Position on Taxiways
Garmin SafeTaxi data provides detailed taxiway diagrams and
position information for over 850 U.S. airports. Preloaded on the
unit, this information helps you navigate unfamiliar airports with
confidence and shows your aircraft's exact position on the
field.
Access AOPA Airport Directory

and more with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA)
Airport Directory included on GPSMAP 496. It offers detailed
information for over 5,300 U.S. airports along with the names and
phone numbers of thousands of FBOs, plus ground transportation,
lodging, restaurants, local attractions and more.
Receive
Altitude-Sensitive Alerts
When in the air, Garmin's new Smart Airspace feature makes it
easier than ever to identify what airspace lies ahead. Smart
Airspace automatically highlights airspace close to your current
altitude and de-emphasizes airspace away from the current altitude,
which gives you increased situational awareness.
Enjoy
Faster Update Rate
For added realism and safety, the 496 updates map data and "Panel"
page instruments at 5 Hz, a significantly faster update rate that
gives you a smoother, near "real-time" presentation of your
aircraft's analog indicators, such as the HSI and turn
coordinator.
Enhance Situational Awareness
GPSMAP 496 features a built-in Jeppesen database, and an Americas,
Atlantic or Pacific terrain database. It also includes an obstacles
database for the U.S. or Europe. Using this information, the 496
displays your flight route over contour terrain mapping. The
higher-resolution terrain database includes over ten times as much
data as the 396's for even more visual reference. With information
from the terrain and obstacles databases, the 496 monitors your
current position in relation to surrounding terrain to provide
alerts. Even customize your own minimum clearance levels to receive
terrain cautions. The addition of private airports and heliports to
the database provides even more navigation and emergency "nearest"
options.
Add Weather, Radio and Traffic
Make informed decisions based on weather and traffic with optional
sensors and services. With a subscription to XM WX Satellite
Weather and the included GXM 30A smart antenna, you'll have access
to constantly-updated, high-resolution weather data for the U.S,
right in the cockpit. Weather information includes Next Generation
Radar (NEXRAD), Aviation Routine Weather Reports (METARs), Terminal
Aerodrome Forecasts (TAFs), Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs),
Lightning and Winds Aloft and can be laid directly over the 496's
Jeppesen and topographic map databases. With an additional monthly
service fee, GXM 30A delivers XM Satellite Radio to your aircraft.
Add a Garmin Mode S transponder, and the 496 will also display TIS
traffic alerts that identify surrounding air
traffic.
Navigate by Air, Land or Sea
Garmin's GPSMAP 496 comes ready to go right out of the box with
preloaded City Navigator NT street maps. With nearly 6 million
points of interest and road coverage for U.S., Canada and Mexico,
plus Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and the
Bahamas, City Navigator North America NT gives you everything you
need to travel North America. Powered by NAVTEQ, a world leader in
premium-quality digital map data, City Navigator brings you the
most detailed street maps available so you can navigate with exact,
turn-by-turn directions to any address or
intersection.
Jeppesen Database Information
The GPSMAP 496 includes an internal Jeppesen database that provides
location and facility information for thousands of airports, VORs,
NDBs, and more. Updates to the Jeppesen database are available
every 28 days online. The following information is provided:
Airport--Identifier, facility name, city/state/country,
latitude/longitude, field elevation, available fuel types, runway
designations and layout, runway surface, runway length, runway
width, runway lighting, communication frequencies, and published
approaches.
Weather--Frequencies associated with an airport (ASOS, ATIS, and
AWOS).
VORs--Identifier, facility name, city/state/country, location
(latitude/longitude), frequency, service volume (high, low,
terminal), and type (such as VOR-DME, TACAN, and VORTAC).
NDBs--Identifier, facility name, city/state/country, location
(latitude/longitude), and frequency.
Intersections--identifier, nearest VOR, radial and distance from
nearest VOR, location (latitude/longitude), and
region/country.
ARTCC--Air Route Traffic Control Centers.
Airspace--boundaries (Class B, Class C, Control Zones, SUAs, and
MOAs), controlling agency, and vertical boundaries.
FSS--Flight Service Stations.
Americas Terrain Database
Enhance situational awareness with the Terrain Aviation Database.
This digital database contains the elevation data which represents
the topography of the earth. Using this information, your Garmin
aviation GPS monitors your current position in relation to
surrounding terrain to provide alerts--giving you additional time
to make critical decisions regarding the flight path. Since Terrain
data does not include man-made objects (towers, airports, VORs
etc.), updates to Terrain data do not occur on a regular basis. The
download process for Terrain updates is simple and convenient.

(More customer reviews)I ordered it with
amazon LLC. And it arrived quick.
But after opening the box and reading the manual, I realize the
beeper is optional.
I need a beeper to save the possible mistake back up.
I return it and no problem on return, amazon pay the postage. The
last, I never install it yet, so my rating is sort of dummy.
Thanks.
Updates. I got the 4 sensor model. They are the same except two
more sensors. The display has a built in beeper (the buzzer is
extra), so I was wrong. The installation instruction is too simple.
For example, you need to drill 4 holes to the bumper. But actually,
to run the wires from bumper, you better uninstall the bumper from
the car. The other challenge is to find the reverse light wire and
tie to it. It is not a plug and play. Amazing there is a Youtube
which is excellent. I eventually gave up and picked up the phones:
$120 to $250. OK, not bad. $120 for 3 hours, deal. It is working
well.

(More customer reviews)The C90W is a
recent Raymarine Multi-Function Display (MFD) that allows the user
to see GPS data, radar data, sonar/fishfinder data, Automated
Information System (AIS) data, Sensor data, and Engine data all on
one display. It also allows the user to interface the vessel's
Seatalk-compatible automatic pilot directly to the MFD.
Essentially, the C90W is intended to and does function as the heart
of a vessel's navigation, control, and monitoring system. It does
much more as well, including allowing the user to buy Platinum
Navionics maps which provide aerial views of GPS terrain (useful
for harbor navigating, in particular) and it can be interfaced with
a suitable Sirius radio unit to provide weather data on the
display. There are other features of this display, so check out the
Raymarine website to get the whole story.
Raymarine makes three sizes of the C-W series: nine, twelve, and
fourteen inches. The C90W, at nine inches, is more than adequate for
my needs and was also the largest size my vessel's dashboard could
accommodate.
The USA unit comes pre-loaded with Navionics coastal charts. This
data is sufficient for almost all mariners; most users will not
need to purchase additional charts, although the Platinum Navionics
cards are very cool.
The C90W screen is in a widescreen landscape format which
facilitates monitoring a variety of functions at one time. The user
can configure the C90W in almost an infinite number of ways. For
example, it is very easy to have one window showing Radar, another
showing GPS with radar overlayed on the GPS screen, while also
viewing various databoxes such as Course-Over-Ground, ocean depth,
autopilot information, etc.The screen itself is bright and
gorgeous, and easily viewed even in direct sunlight.
My favorite function of the unit is the ability to overlay radar
data on the GPS.This is invaluable in many circumstances,
particularly when entering a harbor at night or in fog.It is VERY
nice to be able to see the breakwater and navigation buoys on the
GPS with radar overlaying them. This gives confidence that
everything is where it should be.The unit's integration with the
Marine Automatic Information System ("AIS") is fantastic. One can
overlay an AIS vessel icon with the radar track for the same
vessel, once again giving double surety as regards the position of
another vessel.Further, it tells you the name and MMSI number of
the other AIS-equipped vessel which facilitates hailing them to
coordinate collision avoidance.
Another very nice feature of this MFD is its integration with any
Raymarine (Seatalk-compatible) autopilot. You can plot a route or
pick a waypoint and then engage the autopilot to steer your vessel
along the route. This is how I invariably navigate to Catalina
Island and other distant locations. Thus the MFD really does become
the navigation and information center of the vessel.
One thing that I really like about this unit is how easy it is to
update the firmware. The unit features a single CF card slot. One can
download a firmware update from Raymarine's website, and quickly
and easily update the firmware.I did it shortly after installing my
C90W and it was easy and intuitive. No need for asking the dealer
for help; this is a very user-friendly process. Thus, as the feature
set and/or bug correction (there are always possible bugs, I
imagine) improves, the user can keep the C90W completely up to
date.
The menus on this unit are very intuitive.Since I was generally
familiar with Raymarine menus I barely needed to crack the
manual. The unit is pretty close to self-documenting.Most users
should read through the manual to ensure that they know how very
easy it is to accomplish tasks such as customizing the screen,
building GPS routes, interfacing the autopilot to the unit, etc.One
read-though combined with the excellent prompts and intuitive menus
on the screen itself will be enough to make power-users out of most
of us.The real value of the manual is that it explains all of the
plethora of features that this MFD provides.Once the user has
understood a given feature by reading the manual once, generally
the menus are intuitive enough so that further reference to the
manual is unnecessary.
Raymarine also makes an E-Series of MFDs.This series features
touch-screen while the C-series utilizes a multifunction pad device
akin to a mouse.I went with the C-Series specifically to avoid
touch-screen; plus the E-series is remarkably more expensive.(But
very nice!)
This unit will be the heart of my vessel's navigation, radar, and
sonar systems for years to come.Highly recommended.RJB.

(More customer reviews)Here's the
conundrum...
I have a Garmin nuvi 255.On the POSITIVE side, with the GDB 55, the
255 IS capable of plotting and changing your route on the fly
automatically according to the traffic data it receives. The
DOWNSIDE is that the traffic data it has received so far has been
next to useless.
For example, last Friday we traveled from Massachusetts to
Maryland.Coming down the Jersey Turnpike the unit showed a small (1
or 3 min delay) and kept us on the pike.Just before we reached exit
7, we decided we'd had enough, pressed Detour, and ended up doing
something involving route 295.When we reached our destination, we
learned from those who arrived hours later that the pike had turned
into a virtual parking lot and we'd have lost hours if we'd
believed the Garmin regarding traffic.
I'd return the GDB 55 except that the traffic data really can get
the 255 to change its recommendations. So, fool that I may be, I'm
going to keep working with it on the hope that the traffic data
service will improve.I figure (a) it's part of the price of getting
in when a service is relatively new and (b)I can always hit Detour
manually as we did last weekend should we start getting anxious
again.
Unless you *have* to have it, however, I recommend against buying
this unit until early adopters report that its performance has
improved to being minimally acceptable. At the moment, it isn't!

(More customer reviews)The "user manual"
shipped with the parts is not specific for this model. The wiring
diagram is for module that does not look like the one I received.
Requests for help from Pyleaudio were ignored. There was absolute
no operations instructions. If you need instruction to install this
item, don't buy it. Diagram showed the sensors should be installed
with arrow pointing up. If you do that, you will get an alarm
despite nothing is in the way. Install the sensor with the arrow
down (opposite to the manual instruction), they work fine. There is
no adjustment to the volume of the warning, only on or off. It is
very loud.

(More customer reviews)I just got this
Smartmirror and I like it a lot. It has everything I was looking
for: factory look, GPS Nav, blue tooth, back up camera (optional),
and babycam (optional).
Pros: The Navigation has a cool speed sensitive zoom out, 2D-3D,
day/night, easy bluetooth pairing, reverse turns on the optional
camera, power turns on the baby cam.
Cons: This thing needs to lose the lawyers. Why do I need to press
ok twice everytime I turn the car on before it comes on. It should
just turn on like a normal nav. Why should I have to go into the
blue tooth to connect every time I turn it on, again, normally a
car just does it. The cameras are backwards, might be the camera or
the the unit, while good for backup bearings, its weird for a baby
cam. It should have some options to flip it and zoom in or out,
since the monitor is so small. Its also kind of slow finding
satellites on start up sometimes and when you need to divert due to
a road problem.
I upgraded the cameras to alpine units on the recommendation of the
installer, but now I think I should have gone with the Azentek unit
because it is so much smaller when mounted, its less of a theft
risk. The extra video cameras also cost me a like 600 more. I think
if I had the chance again, I would not do the cameras. Its just too
small a picture to be helpful.
However, it is a high quality unit. The optical was fine, the
remaining mirror seems a little small now, but is clear. Things
look taller than before. I hope it lasts. All the button pressing
to start it on the touch screen will wear it out for sure.
Update: I noticed a few more bugs. Although I told it I wanted to
have the map in the direction of travel, the default is North. I
have to switch to 2d and then back to 3d to get it to remember to
go in the direction of travel. It would be nice if it automatically
went into night mode. Next version should have a light sensor, this
version should update the software based on the time of day or
something. I wish it would also boot up faster, by the time the
backup camera goes on, I'm out of the garage.

(More customer reviews)Bought the X910BT
for my car, we enjoy traveling the back roads of Arizona and the
southwest. Having the Nav system installed in the car makes things
very easy - no hassle connecting the various devices, cables
running all over, taking it down and putting it back up when making
stops, and little "suction circles" on the windshield that thieves
look for. Now I only have to fuss with the radar detector. Startup
time on the unit is really not a problem, my Garmin would often
take several minutes to startup, the AVIC is typically ready to go
in about 1 minute. The bluetooth connection takes a little longer
and the unit is very sluggish until the bluetooth connects. After
the bluetooth is connected, the X910BT is very responsive.
It's a very easy unit to operate after you get used to it. My
previous GPS was a Garmin unit, and I really got spoiled by their
features. A few things I can complain about with the X910BT:
- Voice recognition on bluetooth - just doesn't seem to understand
what I'm saying, either by name or number. I usually end up
selecting the contact off the screen instead of telling it who to
call. After the call has started, it works great, incoming sound is
loud and clear. One person told me I sounded kind of muffled on
their end, but they did not have any problem understanding me.
- Route planning is a bit of a pain if you're like me and like to
take the back roads. When we travel, we like to stay off the
interstate as much as possible. Disabling the Highway option makes
for some very long trips as it will try to route you way out of the
way to avoid highways. The AVICFeeds software is ok and I have used
it to generate POIs for route planning, but it is tedious and not
as easy to use as Garmin's MapSource. AVICFeeds also has a 300 item
limit on POIs it can import, which means getting creative if your
have a file with a large number of locations, such as those found
on POI-Factory.com.
- The volume knob is really small and hard to grasp. I picked up a
press on knob from a guy on AVIC411.com and it works great, easy to
grasp and works the way it should have from the factory.
- The maps are very limited in the speed limit data they have. One
a recent trip Southern California, we were being tailed by a CHP on
one of the backroads. We were doing a reasonable speed, but the
AVIC did not have any speed information for the road we were on.
Additionally, many of the major surface streets in the Phoenix
metro area also do not have any speed limit info available. It was
very rare for the Garmin to not have speed limit data
available.
I have the Sirius option installed, it works great and I listen to
it more often than FM or my SD Card. I used the factory installed
Sirius antenna lead to connect to the X910BT with no problem. I was
able to transfer my new car subscription over and they even waived
the $15 transfer fee. I also found a nice flat spot under the dash
to put the GPS antenna where it is hidden and out of sight. I do
not have any extra objects laying on my dash or on my roof as
giveaways to what I have in my car. I ran the microphone up inside
the front pillar, under the roof liner and used velcro strips to
attach it to the rear view mirror. It's almost completely out of
sight unless you know what to look for.
I really like he X910BT and would not go back to the portable
Garmin GPS, though we still have it for use in our other vehicles
and when we are hanging around planning a trip. It's great having
the GPS built-in, many times we are out running around and decide
to go someplace, we can enter whatever we want to find right in the
GPS and it tells us where it's at.
