(More customer reviews)After reading other posts of the ResQMe not working I decided to test the two that I had.Only ONE worked; the other did absolutely nothing!Wanting to give the manufacturer an opportunity to remedy the issue I contacted them and asked to have the defective item exchanged (nothing else was asked).I was told to send it back to Amazon.When I let them know I tested as a result of reading other posts of the device not working I was told "About the review, this comment is not objective and is not very relevant.".Not "objective" and/or "relevant"?One of the Amazon reviews clearly stated two of six did not work correctly (33% failure rate) and only one of my two worked (50% failure rate).That seems pretty clear, concise and objective.

I want you to think about something for a minute.How would you feel if you were ever trapped in a submerged vehicle, go to use this device and it failed to function?If you have a child, factor in the fear of not being able to get them out of the vehicle because this device failed.

I would suggest NOT buying this item or purchasing any product from the manufacturer as they do not stand behind their product.

(More customer reviews)I've never had to use it --hope I never will. It's very small which concerns me if I ever had to use it as intended to knock out the car window, I'm not sure it would do it. I can always use my fist, right?
The embedded blade is fine --it should cut through seat belts with no problem. The little black cap at the top is spring loaded & supposed to generate enough force to break tempered glass --not sure but also not willing to test it out. Happy the Glass Man is rich enough!
Its small enough to fit on your key chain w/out being too obtrusive, I hang mine from the rear view mirror so it's handy should the need arise.
I've seen the full size version & may pick one up as I would feel much more confident in it.

(More customer reviews)I've had this rack for since 2002 - has worked well for carrying bikes whether towing my +2000-lbs popup camper or not. I've recommended it to friends, and would buy it again.

Don't use the swing-down feature often, as it's pretty heavy if bikes are loaded. The v-cradles for the bikes don't work as well for the oval tubes on some bikes - especially for really "tall" top tubes. I bought a "cheater" tube for adapting troublesome bikes (ladies frame, etc.) to fit the rack.

The three screws to fasten the top plate are a little tedious, but I can clamp it as tight as I want, can accomodate top tubes of varous diameters (the top plate flexes), and I have never seen them loosen even after several hours of highway driving.

Re: earlier comments on chains: I tow with a minivan (towing package including load-leveling). I had to get safety chain extensions so I could tow my popup camper. To kee the chains off the road, I use a bungee cord from the crossing point to the trailer tongue.

(Loop itaround the frame and then hook the rope with the hook, don't just put themetal hook through the frame.)I have not used this on anything biggerthan a 1/2 ton pickup so I don't know the upper limit.It is nice when youstart towing, the rope "gives & stretches" where a chain just"hits and jerks."this is alot easier on both vehicles.I'venever tried dragging logs with it, I still use my old chain for that!

(More customer reviews)I bought blaster with teflon and tried it on my car doors.It dont think it worked as well as white lithium grease spray.I have found a great application for it.I think it work great for treadmill belts.You see you can't use wet oil on a treadmill but I will try this for the treadmill belt.I have yet to try it so I am not sure how it will work out.

(More customer reviews)Purchased two of these back at Christmas for my two oldest kids.Warrenty is very limited so use them a lot in the first 60 days to make sure they work.Had the CDI go out on one of the units in the first week and another go out a few months later.Purchased 6 extras for $5 each so I don't have the same problem again.Takes about 30 seconds to switch it out so it is an easy fix once you know the symptoms.These obviously are made in China (nearly all these 110s are actually made in the same factory no matter what the brand) not Japan.The motors are relatively simple and easy to work on.I have changed the oil and spark plugs and they work great.You should also plan on tightening up the chain when you get it.The manual is some of the worst English I have ever seen so just look at the pictures if you have questions.Parts are very easy to obtain and very inexpensive as you would expect.I tested these out several times before I let the kids ride them and my kids wear full protective gear (chest plate, helmet, goggles, and gloves.) I also ride them around for the first minute or two when they are warming up to make sure nothing has gone wrong prior to the kids riding them.Only other problem is that the design of the drive shaft loosens the chain when someone 150lbs or above rides it.So if you hit a big bump you may lose the chain.Again this is easy to put on and I keep it very tight now so that when a rider is on it the chain is perfectly tight.My kids are light weight so they never come close to having the chain come off.I on the other hand have had it happen a couple of times.Anyway, as long as you know what you are getting yourself into they are wonderful.It you have no mechanical ability stick to a well build Honda.

(More customer reviews)We have snow tires for our cars, both my husband's honda civic and my honda odyssey.We have racks on our garage wall to store the tires, but I didn't want to accidentally be brushing up against dirty tires on my way in and out of my car, so I bought these to cover the tires while they were stored.

I am pleased with the quality.The covers are not contiguous, they have a strip of hook and loop velcro on the outside and you wrap it around tire and fasten it so it fits the tire snug around the exterior.In the inside, there is elastic and another set of velcro to allow you adjust the size of the inner circle.Everything is very secure, its easy to carry them in the containers.

The only drawback and the reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are a tad small for my odyssey's wider tires.They fit, but they cannot completely cover the tire on both sides. You can see how in the picture you can't see the tire itself, only the rims?With the odyssey's tires, if I center the black strip around the tread of the tire, you would be able to see about 1-2" of the tire on either side around in the inner circle.However, since my purpose was basically to cover them on the wall (but still be able to hang them, hence the cover had to have a hole in the middle) all I do is center the cover more toward one side, so on the side that hangs outward, you can't see (or accidentally brush up against) the tire, and on the other side more of the tire is visible (but up against the wall).

After removing the head and drilling out the old threads I tried to re-tap the threads to no avail so it was on to a new thread insert. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of a "coil" fix was shocked when I found out the price for the coil kits so I was very excited when I found the Save-A-Thread kit with solid sleeve inserts. It worked like a charm. I had the hole expanded, re-threaded and the insert in place in less than 20 minutes. At half the price or less than the other "coil" kits I'd found the Save-A-Thread kit is a life saver.
