I placed it against the side of an armchair that one of the cats shredded, but when he reached up to it, the scratching post fell over and scared him. Now he shreds the other side of the armchair. This thing is worthless.

(More customer reviews)I have a 12 week old Shih-Poo (half Shih Tzu, half toy Poodle) and we paid $60 for a Life Styles cage.Then, just in case we needed another cage for any reason, I took a chance on one of these.Am I glad I did!It is perfect for our needs.Unlike the $60 Life Styles cage, this one has a wire mesh floor which allows poop and pee to settle out of the cage so, when we leave our pup caged for 9 hours at a time, she isn't walking in her own ...I don't see how a puppy could open the door latch because it's the same design as the one on the Life Style cage, although of ligher gage steel.The lighter gage steel is still strong enough for our needs and the cage is light enough so my wife can move it from place to place by lifting up on a single handle that's permanently affixed to the top.Below the wire mesh floor is a tray that pulls out from the front so cleaning is easy.This was the best purchase I have made for my dog, particularly at the incredibly low price.

I think it must be like drugs to him. I got this from somewhere other than amazon and I wished I would have gotten it from them because I would have returned it since amazon does not charge for returns for the first 30 days. It would cost almost as much as I paid for the junk to return it. If you've got $15.00 dollars laying around you don't want just throw it in the garbage cause you will at least be able to retrieve it.

(More customer reviews)The Soft Paws / Soft Claws for Cats get rave reviews all over the Internet.We have a Bengal kitten/cat, roughly 11 months old, which has his front claws removed but still has his rear claws.He likes to jump up onto your shoulders and sometimes overshoots and therefore tries to dig in with his rear nails.I'm sure you can imagine how painful this is for me and my family members.Our kitty also sometimes likes to kick his rear feet, like a bunny rabbit, while he is playing.Those rear nails are sharp as razor blades and slice right through human skin like butter.

We called our local vet to see if declawing the rear paws was advisable.Keep in mind, this is an indoor-only cat who is never allowed outdoors.Also, my wife provides daycare service in our home, so we can't risk having having the children in her care scratched all up by our playful kitten.The vet told us that removing the rear claws may cause the cat to become a bitter; which is especially common with Bengals.The vet then recommended the Soft Claws product to us, so we eagerly ordered up a couple of packs from Amazon.

We are on the second week of using this product.First of all I have to say that this product is a wonderful idea but isn't quite as perfect as people have claimed.We purchased the clear covers, which I highly recommend as it would probably be very hard to visualize how much glue you were squeezing into a colored nail cover.Our kitten squirmed a bit but soon settled down and allowed us to install all of the covers on his rear nails.The problem is, several of the nail covers we received in our kits were slightly different in size and a few of them didn't even have the slits cut in them, so we had to throw several of the covers away.Within the first 24 hours our kitten had chewed/pulled off 5 of the 8 nail covers.We installed new covers right away but 3 more were missing within the next 24 hours.Two weeks later we have yet to keep all 8 of the nail covers on our kitten.The size of the covers are correct, and we have tried using more glue to get them to adhere better.They just don't seem to be able to withstand the chewing and tugging that our cat subjects them to. We have already gone through an entire kit and are well on our way through the second.We had to throw away 5 of the nail covers in the second kit as well, as they were defective and not usable.

Overall I cannot blame the manufacturer for the fact that our cat continues to chew off the covers; although a better adhesive might help.However, there is no excuse for the many defective covers that were included in the two kits we received.I certainly think this product is a GREAT idea; a terrific and humane alternative to declawing a kitten or cat.But with the poor quality control we have experienced with the kits we received, it is very hard for us to recommend these to others.I am glad that many other people have had pleasing results with this product.We are going to order two more kits soon, and hopefully we will receive better results this time around.

(More customer reviews)First, let me say that this product was immensely helpful in teaching our dog not to run away.I don't worry about him any more.I know that when I say "come", he'll come.However, there are a couple shortcomings.

The biggest problem is the battery life.Even with relatively infrequent use, the collar needed its batteries replaced at least monthly, costing about $6 each time.We later switched to a rechargeable.(The remote batteries last a good while.)

You have to open the remote and set DIP switches to choose the base intensity.Then when you press the button, the dog is shocked with that intensity.If you slide a "boost" switch on the side of the remote, it brings the intensity up by two levels.For our dog, this wasn't flexible enough.For indoor training (e.g. enforcing the no-dog-on-the-rug rule), a level of 3 or 4 would have been sufficient.However, even using the "boost" switch would not have been enough when he was running away outside.Our dog needed the maximum stimulation plus the boost to overcome the allure of running away.But that level (without the boost) would be excessive for indoor training.Ultimately, we purchased a "Command Series" trainer from Innotek that gave us more flexibility.

One thing we miss about this trainer is the small remote with a single button.You can easily keep it in your pocket, and discreetly push the button when guests are over.Or, if you have to push it fast, you can often just slap your pocket, feel the button and push it through your pants.The button is nicely designed to be easy to feel (seated in a depression in the remote) without being easy to accidentally press.

(More customer reviews)I have a 22+ pound miniature schnauzer who was still too small for a Size 1 Halti, and he's big for this type of schnauzer. So be sure to understand the sizing chart before purchasing one of these leads. The breed and size suggestions they give aren't necessarily going to work for your pet. I notice that other purchasers of this collar have had the same criticism, and if I'd taken the manufacturers suggestion, I would have gotten a size 2!

Otherwise, the product seems well made. I hope the size 0 will work for him.

Gentle Leader Treat Pouch - Green Review

(More customer reviews)The gentle leader treat pouch is an excellent design, but unfortunately the quality of construction leaves much to be desired. My wife and I purchased two packs to use with our new puppy, and after about three weeks of use, one of the loops that hold the belt broke on my pouch. No big deal, I thought, I'll just use the handy clip and attach it to my own belt. That worked fine for another week until the clip snapped off. Meanwhile, the hinges on my wife's pack broke causing it to stay in the open position at all times. So, we took them back to the store where we bought them, and we were given two new ones. Well, after about a week of use, the hinges on mine broke. So, I took it back to the store once more, and got another one. So far so good with this one and with my wife's, but we're not too optimistic that these will hold up for long.
There is also a very annoying sharp edge that sticks out on both corners where the seams come together. It scratches the underside of your forearm when you're walking or whenever you brush against it when treating your dog. We solved this with a pair of scissors by cutting the offending seam end off, something that one would expect the manufacturers to do.

It's a great design and could be a great product, but they need to beef things up a bit.

I found the customer service at Bungee to be exceptional.I had ordered the leash for up to 165 lbs and my pup at the time only weighed in at 45.But I was thinking it would work as she grew.But I did put a note in their comment box saying I wasn't sure about the right size.They called me and suggested that I buy the one for pups under 60lbs as the up to 165 would not have any give for a dog her size.I did this and have loved it since the moment I put it on her.

(More customer reviews)This is an easy to assemble (& disassemble, or fold flat) dog crate. It is well designed and easy to transport (with a handle at the top). The (included, easy to wash & dry) fleece pad needed to be laundered (to remove excess "fuzz") upon first receiving, but it is perfect comfort for my recently adopted toy poodle. The durable tray that fits beneath the floor of the crate is isolated from the pad above and is a great addition to the crate design. The bars are black coated and waterproof for "rust-free" beauty. The locking mechanism is uncomplicated and secure. I am very glad to have purchased it for "crate-training" use and (possible) transportation safety, as well as for my dog's general "denning" instincts. With the door open, my dog moves in and out of the crate freely.

(More customer reviews)My wife and I purchased this harness to help us train our dog how to walk properlyin an extremely crowded city.While the harness itself does a decent job of providing more stability with our dog, there are two main problems that we have with it: one is that it is continuous rubbing against his chest, and has caused a lot of iritation there.The second is that he seems to be able to slip one leg out of the harness fairly regularly, no matter how tight we make it.

I would recommend the harness, but be aware of these two factors.It can be a great tool to help you teach your dog to walk nicely, as long as you are willing to put in the time.
