(More customer reviews)I bought this unit in mid-november for my 2 bedroom apartment. Overall it does a good job of maintaining a comfortable level of humidity typically around 45-50%. However the unit is constantly ON. It never cycles and this is with the humidistat set at just off of it's lowest setting and the fan speed on the mid setting which will give you tolerable noise level. What has caused me concern is how quickly the filter has gotten mouldy and that the air out of the unit smells like musty. I have changed the the Protec cartridge as recommended every 30 days and cleaned the filter several times per the instructions in the manual. I phoned the manufacturer (Kaz not Honeywell) and they say the filter will only last 1 to 3 months and that it needs to be cleaned every week. I pointed out that no where in the manual does it state that frequent a cleaning period nor such a short filter life and that in-fact it states that the filter should last one season. She said sorry and that there is nothing they can or will do other that tell you where you can get a new filter for $11.

I thought that when I moved back to the US, that the yearly ritual of nabe parties would become a thing of the past.One of the necessary components is a portable butane cooker than can be placed on the kitchen table for everyone to gather around.The other component is a traditional 10" nabe pot to do the cooking in.I shouldn't have worried!Both are available right here!

If you have never enjoyed the ritual of nabe, then you are truly missing something.It is one of my favorite Japanese foods, easy to make and deeply satisfying.There are not a lot of nabe cookbooks available in English, but Japanese Cooking: A Simple Art will give you a good place to start.

(More customer reviews)The day i got this i was so excited! i set it up in the back yard and waited 3 days for the water to heat up. then i noticed that it was loosing air slowly. my husband mentioned that it might be from the difference in air temperature so i ignored it. there is no way i could have ripped a hole! now a month later it barely stays inflated for a whole day! and i cannot find a hole anywhere.also the heater doesnt work so well at all anymore it just makes the water warm... not hot. im really angry about this because it was very expensive and i feel like i wasted my money.

(More customer reviews)I have had this dispenser for six months, and it does dispense beer as advertised.The problem is, the CO2 system desperately needs improvement.I have been through two regulators and three sets of regulator adaptor/cartridge holder pairs, because they are made of cheap plastic and crack over time.I have lost two kegs of beer and have wasted six CO2 cartidges needlessly.I did speak with their technical staff and told them I would have made these parts using brass, bronze, or stainless steel, and if they wanted to stay with plastic, at least use a thermopolymer that could take the stress off a pressurized environment.They seemed to listen; time will tell.So, bottom line: It does work, it work well when it's working....but be prepared to call their customer service department along the way for replacement parts.

Honestly, this is a difficult product to review without doing a controlled experiment to determine if it is working:if there is rust, it isn't working but if there is no rust, it may or may not be working.

3-IN-ONE has a large stake in maintaining their excellent reputation--the same company also sells trusted products such as WD-40 and Lava soap.So this is the rare situation where I would be willing to trust the manufacturer that the product works.

I can say that after about a month in my toolbox, there does not appear to be new rust forming on the tools that have rusted in the past. Average humidity here for that month is in the 60%-70% range and the storage area was not air conditioned.

The product is basically a piece of sponge that holds the chemicals encased in a plastic shell that may be attached to a surface with the strip of 3M Command tape on the back.

I did a great deal of research on what to me was a novel and interesting product.Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitors are a tried-and-true method of preventing rust.An excellent overview paper may be found on the website of the professional organization of corrosion engineers:http://content.nace.org/publications/CJ/2000/00020144.PDF

The exact formulation of this product is not given by the manufacturer.When I called their customer service number, I was referred to the MSDS which lists only polyurethane foam and "proprietary ingredients".

The manufacturer recommends one unit for every two cubic feet of space.On the manufacturer's website, the diagram in the demo slideshow showed dimensions of 2' x 2' x 2' which is eight cubic feet.I explained this error to the very pleasant customer service representative and said that I would be checking back to see if it was corrected.I am very pleased to report that it has since been corrected and my conclusion is that the company is responsive to consumers and is diligent about the integrity of their products and marketing. Yes, that is impressive and all-too-rare these days.

The product is activated when it is removed from the packaging so you should not open it until you are ready to use it.(The button on front you push activates the timer only, not the product.)

It is stated to last up to 90 days.On the company's website you can sign up for an emailed replacement reminder when it is time to replace the product.This is a clever marketing ploy but it is also very useful to the consumer.The website is very informative and worth taking a look at if you are considering purchasing the product.I would also not hesitate to call customer service with questions.http://no-rust-shield.3inone.com/

I would recommend this product as useful for protecting valuable items prone to rust that are stored for moderate to long periods of time in small enclosed containers.Other reviewers have pointed out that there are other methods of rust prevention that are more appropriate in other situations but it is a good product for the intended use.

I'm still confused with the filtering system and what and when I should buy filters. I was also happy with the seller "Filter Water". The unit was delayed by a few days so they emailed me and gave me credit even though I did not mind! I would shop from them again (next house or filters).

(More customer reviews)I live in central NC.I currently have a mosquito magnet liberty plus in my 1 acre yard.I have had the magnet for 3-4 years.The magnet is very, very problematic.I was looking for something that was a lot cheaper to run and was easily self repairable vs the magnet.I wound up purchasing the Ultra with CO2 bottle from the manufactures web site.

I have only had the Ultra for 1-week.In two days, it had captured at least 5 times more mosquitoes/biting insects than my magnet has all month.I am using the magnet with Lurex, and the Ultra with co2, octenol and light. I'm using the wet-capture system.From past experience, I don't think using Octenol vs Lurex in my magnet would have improved the catch results.After the lurex runs out, I'll swap with octenol to give it a better magnet vs ultra comparison.However, I suspect the Ultra will just simply destroy the magnet in my tests.My magnet NEVER has seen this amount of biting insects captured, ever.

Only time will tell how well the Ultra performs, so I will update this review after a few months

(More customer reviews)My parents bought this pool for us for my 34th birthday! ;)It was the perfect thing for me as my bday's in April and I was 21 weeks pregnant with baby #3 at the time with the long, VERY hot SoCal summer ahead of me!!Setup was easy enough that even our boys (5 & 8) got to help out with some of the setup.The ladder could be a bit sturdier but is better than some and we'll be replacing it soon enough with a different one.

This pool is the same as the 54451E only it comes with the saltwater filtration system/pump instead.The pump/filter is a workhorse at 2000 gph, it's the Water Filtration Pump with a Built-in Chlorine Generator model #56611.Definitely a great deal with this package!!

All in all, an excellent deal, excellent quality...just...EXCELLENT!

(More customer reviews)This is our second time using this easy set pool style; we've moved to a larger size as our kids have grown.We actually contracted to put in an above ground pool, but after numerous headaches with the local pool company and the installer we ordered this and "installed" it in a weekend.

The trickiest part is getting the base level.A couple years ago it took us literally weeks to get correct.Now our circle is perfect, and I don't even mind what it looks like in the off-season before the snow covers the ground.

What happened to our former pool?We took it to the swap shop at our town's transfer station.Hopefully some other family enjoyed it last summer; it still had plenty of life in it.

(More customer reviews)I have tried 2 other steam cleaners, the Bissel Heat pro and the Hoover (not sure which one).Of the three, the oreck has the best suction.Since it pulls up more water, the floors dry more quickly.As far as getting the floor cleaner, they are pretty close in performance but the Oreck comes out a little ahead.The best part of the oreck to me is that it is the easiest to fill with water and the easiest and cleanest to empty.It is all in one tank that is quick and easy to remove.I find I clean the floors more frequently because it is so quick and easy to use.Also, I didn't like being stuck with using Orecks cleaning liquid.There is a very easy way around that.Set the unit to RINSE mode and add the detergent directly to the clean water.That way you bypass using the Oreck brand cleaner in the little bottles.I have been using Resolve carpet cleaning soap with excellent results.It is cheaper that way and cleans just as good as the Oreck detergent.I would definitely recommend the Oreck steam cleaner.

When you first attach the PUR filter, it works beautifully. Water comes out fast, and comes out clean. But fairly soon, and well before the filter is supposedly used up, the filter cuts down on the flow as it gets more and more clogged. After a while it can take 30 seconds to fill up a glass of water. Ours also has a leakage problem that is exacerbated the more clogged the filter is (the leak comes from the plastic covering that tells you how used up the filter is)...Don't know if ours is defective or if this is typical.
We have since bought a PUR pitcher filtration system, and that seems to be more convenient to use because you don't have to sit there like a ... waiting for your glass to fill up.
PUR is superior to BRITA filters, by the way, because they also filter giardia and cryptosporidium, two bacteria that can cause intestinal illnesses. This is especially important if you live in areas with iffy water systems (i.e. St. Petersburg, Russia, which is full of giardia/Mexico) or if you have a weak immune system.
The PUR filters work out to about 25 cents per gallon of filtered water. It costs more to filter dirtier water and less to filter cleaner water.
When you finally throw out the used filter, try cracking it open and having a look at all the nasty gunk that you didn't put into your body. It's definitely worth the price, don't you think?

(More customer reviews)A previous reviewer left a comment that the hoop is on the wrong side.There is a valid reason for this.Unlike her PE-150, this machine is also a sewing machine.In order for this machine to function as a sewing machine, the embroidery arm has to be removable (so it is on the left side).If it was on the other side, it would be in the way for sewing.
The other major advantage of the PE-400D over the 150 (besides being able to sew), is that it is able to read and use the Disney Brother cards.These cards can only be used by Disney Brother machines.
