(More customer reviews)This is an add-on
"dead-man" shut-off valve and nozzle assembly for use with
pressure-pot sandblasters like the cheaper ones from Harbor
Freight. If you don't already have one of those, this won't be very
useful except possibly as a novel paperweight or something to throw
into the corner to relieve frustration.
I bought mine at a local tool store; it is the same Pit Bull
branded package.
Contrary to what the package says, it comes with 4 extra ceramic
nozzles, but no wrench.
The nozzles are 5 different sizes, ranging from about 0.087"
diameter to about 0.123".(Take those measurements with a grain of
salt... it's not easy to measure them, and the nozzles are tapered
inside. They're definitely not all the same size.)
Installation: it screws directly onto the original shutoff valve
body after removing the old tip assembly and wrapping some Teflon
tape around the threads.
How well does it work?Um, I don't know yet.There's a problem with
the motor on my two-cylinder compressor, and when I took the motor
apart, more things broke and I discovered that replacement parts
are hard to come by.I'll see if I can do some spot blasting with
the little compressor, using the smallest diameter tip.

(More customer reviews)No doubt, I
recommend this book for all electricians as a well-written
estimating manual. Loaded with estimating checklists, forms and
practical tips through out, this book demonstrates clearly the
author has thorough knowledge of our industry. The book covers the
process step by step, from marketing, quantity take-off, supplier
pricing, bid organization to project management and change order
pricing...I especially like the part where he elaborates on how to
actually close a deal (e.g. post-bid estimating, contract
negotiations). Quite neat stuff...Suitable for everyone, whether
you are a rookie or veteran, you will like it! (I already own a
bunch of DeWalt books because I like the conveniently designed
sizes. This book is one of the best I got so far, and it is a
relatively new one, too)

(More customer reviews)I purchased this
Bernz-O-Matic soldering and torch kit, assuming that it would be a
nice replacement for an aging butane soldering iron from another
maker (my old iron simply needed a new tip, but at half the cost of
a new iron, I figured I'd treat myself).
Unfortunately, I only got about 5 hours of intermittent use out of
the small soldering tip included in this kit before it began to get
seriously pitted.Soon after, the entire point of the tip fell off,
and I'm now left with a broad, flat area unsuited to soldering
small electronics.
The most outrageous part of this is that I called the manufacturer,
and they CANNOT supply replacement tips for this iron. That
AUTOMATICALLY makes it unsuited for anything other than very casual
use.Even under the best circumstances, soldering tips eventually
wear out.
I should mention a couple of facts here:1.) I was using ordinary
Kester 60/40 rosin-core solder.No acid-core or anything odd.2.) I
was using the iron on medium heat and idling it on low.I was not
blasting the tip with heat.3.) I've been soldering electronics for
over 15 years (including 0402 and 0604 SMTs), so I know what I'm
doing.
The short summary:junk!

(More customer reviews)I love this little
heater. I bought one in late 2007 to help heat my "living room"
which also contains my home office, where I spend most of my time
in the cold Ohio winters.I liked the safety features of auto
shut-off if it was tipped even slightly, the thermostat which
automatically turns it off and on and the fact that it didn't have
an open flame or use multitudes of hot electrical coils to produce
the heat. I can't say enough good about this product. It has
survived 2 winters of almost constant use in my multi-dog household
(I do try to be careful to keep dog hair to a minimum with daily
brushing away from the furnace though). It has not had an easy life
in my 100+ yr old country farm cottage but it has enabled me to
keep the main thermostat on my forced air propane ($$$) furnace
turned far lower. Some common sense (don't leave it running when I'm
not here -- I don't need it then anyway; don't run it while I am
asleep -- that's what comforters are for)and its lightweight,
portable design and soft blower round out this picture of this warm
and cozy example of (to me) what a "space" heater should be. In
fact, I went looking for another one and bought it at the beginning
of this winter, although my original is still going strong.

Gauge Angled Finish Nailer
- Third generation of this tool; everything works well.
- Fires in one of two ways; select via a control knob:
... Single Actuation: press the nose against the wood & pull
the trigger to drive the nail, or, pull the trigger first, then
press nose against the wood to drive the nail.Either way, nailing
again isn't possible until the trigger is released and pulled
again.
... Contact Actuation: in addition to the above, if the trigger is
held back, the tool will fire a nail each time the nose is pressed
against the wood.
- Nicely balanced and comfortable to use.Weighs only 4.2 lbs.,
within a few ounces of the lightest nailer.
- The 34 degree tool angle is better than 24 degree nailers; easier
to do corners.
- Simple to load nails.Feed into the slot and slide the
spring-loaded pusher to the right.Holds two 100-nail "clips", and
they are fully visible, so you know when you're near empty.
- Adjustable air deflector so the discharge won't blow in your
face.
- In case of a jam (e.g., you hit a screw); simply unsnap a lock
and the front end opens.
- Easy turn dial moves the nose-piece in/out to adjust drive
depth.
- Factory installed air fitting is a nice feature.
- No-mar nose piece is tough enough to last and actually prevents
wood marring.
- Duster button: makes the tool an air gun; or use to drain the air
before decoupling the hose.
- Good blow-molded tool case with space for a 1,000 nail pack.
- 5-year factor warranty demonstrates Hitachi's confidence.
- More powerful than my Bostitch 15-gauge angled nailer.
- Big nailers are loud.Wear hearing protectors. Can't see how you
could go wrong with this angled nailer.Clearly a 5-star tool.

small, yet powerful airless sprayer made light work of our medium
sized mold remediation projects. The unit is easy to carry and
operate, and for those new to the equipment, the handy "how to" DVD
coves all the necessary aspects of operation and maintenance. What
was most impressive, was its ability to handle substances with a
consistencey similar to latex paint (~1.36 kg/litre). The 0.015"
tip worked well but multiple passes were required for an even coat.
An excellent buy for those looking for a low priced, efficient
airless sprayer!

(More customer reviews)I felt the need to
post a review about the Wagner Power Painter, because I've read
many poor reviews about it and had many of the same frustrations
with the product, initially. The fact is that this product is not
for every project, but it is a huge time saver for projects that
have a large coverage area (houses, decks, fences, large rooms,
ceilings).
First off, you cannot just pour paint into the thing and start
painting.Take it apart, and make sure everything is properly
lubricated with the provided oil.Next, if you're using latex-based
paint, THIN the paint using FLOETROL (this is a MUST).Using
Floetrol helps the issue that some people have with the unit
seizing.Refer to the back of the Floetrol bottle for "airless
sprayers" to know how much to put in the paint.I would not
recommend thinning the paint with water, or the unit may gum
up.Cover/tape adjacent surfaces well, as the excess spray can reach
several feet away, and the wind doesn't help!
Get a large piece of cardboard or scrap wood and play with the
pressure settings until you find a good coverage pattern. This took
me less than 5 minutes. After that, you just need to be confident
with using a paint sprayer, which will come with practice.
The unit will start to spit when the bottle is getting low.I
habitually refill after one pass of a 10' X 10' area, just to avoid
this.Keep a brush or small roller handy to clean up spots where
this might occur.Clean up time should be less than 20 minutes.I
clean brushes and rollers longer than that, usually.
I was ready to return this product after using it once.It spat and
dripped and seized up.After doing some reading, I realized I just
wasn't using it properly. If you follow the steps above, you should
have very good results. This is a really great product, once you get
used to it.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this
unit and received it from Kaito with a broken casing. After many,
many phone calls and nonsense they agreed to send me out a new
unit. I had to send the old unit back and did so with expedited
shipping so I could get it back asap. It wasn't until nearly a
month afterward that I received the replacement. Upon using the
station I realized the temp readout was not the temp of he iron,
far from it. The recovery time was awful, and the tip was very
shoddy. After using the unit for approximately an hour it died and
I don't have the time to deal with Kaito Electronics once again.
Please save up a few extra dollars and get a Weller or Hakko. I
threw away a month of my time, and some of my hard earned money and
still need a soldering station.

(More customer reviews)I recently
purchased a Fuji Q3 and it has certainly lived up to my
expectations. As a professional painter I finish trim for new
houses. I bought a Campbell-Hausfeld HVLP sprayer and it served me
fine for small jobs. It was portable but incredibly loud and
difficult to set a fine enough spray for varnish. Not so with the
Fuji sprayer. I used it for 8 hours straight today and I couldn't
be happier. It was easy to adjust the material and pattern and keep
a fine enough particle spray to do an excellent job from door
casing to full doors. The turbines are also so quiet that I could
still hear the radio playing in the background with out having to
turn it up. The gun is so light weight that even after a full day
of spraying my hand and arm are not tired. I bought and fully
recommend the 6 foot whip hose. When needing to manuver the gun
into tight spaces or to follow the pattern on a six panel oak door
it was nice that I didn't have to drag around the heavier hose.
Over all this outfit is first rate and a joy to use. Fuji is to be
commended for such a fine product.

Fuji 3003 Q3 PRO Quiet 3-Stage HVLP Spray
System
Product Description:
The Fuji industrial spray equipment Q3 Pro HVLP turbine and spray
gun system is ideal for cabinet makers and furniture refinishers,
providing a professional finish when spraying lacquers, enamels,
polyurethane, latex, water-based coatings, and more. As much as 50
percent quieter than most HVLP turbines, this spray system's
3-stage turbine features a patented soundproofing feature and keeps
air flowing freely to the motor for optimal cooling; the turbine
provides approximately 6 PSI. This system comes with the Fuji XT
spray gun; the spray gun has a non-bleed design which lets air
through only when the trigger is pulled, giving you reduced shop
dust disturbance and less paint build-up on the tip of the fluid
nozzle. The spray gun is built with a stay-cool nylon handle for
more comfortable use, durable stainless steel fluid passages, and
an external needle packing adjustment.
The system comes equipped with a general purpose #4 air cap to
ensure fine finishing; a 25-foot highly flexible hose designed to
maintain its pliability and avoid kinks; a 1-quart cup for the
spray gun; a paint strainer; a viscosity cup; a cleaning brush; and

(More customer reviews)This is the first
airless sprayer I've ever used, and I have been very impressed with
it. I am using it to paint the exterior of my house and it is
proving to be a huge time-saver.Tricky areas like the eaves under
the roof would have taken forever with a brush. With this tool I'm
done in minutes, and it looks great! Even though this is the entry
level model in the Wagner line, it still can throw a lot of paint
on in a hurry!I can only imagine what the big models will do. I am
spraying a latex exterior house paint straight out of the can, no
additives or dilution required.
The unit came with a 415 tip which was fine for large areas, but
proved a little wide for the detail work.I bought a 313 to do the
trim.Fortunately all of the brands (Wagner, SprayTech, Grayco,
etc.) use the same tips which can be found at any big-box store
(Home Depot, Lowes). You will also need to buy a swivel for the gun
(about $20).The paint hose becomes very stiff under pressure, and
without a swivel, the gun is very hard to maneuver.
Cleanup can be a chore. The capacity of the pickup tube and the
hose is substantial and all of that paint has to be thoroughly
flushed out. Then you have to clean the gun with a brush.None of
this is really unexpected. It's a professional style tool for big
jobs, and even with the cleanup, you're way ahead of the game.
As for the other reviewers who complained about a broken tip, I'm
not sure how that could happen as it's made from steel.Maybe they
were talking about the tip holder? Just buy a new one from HD for
$15 and get on with it.

(More customer reviews)This is the perfect
adapter for me as it powers both my notebook and all of my gadgets
from a single brick. I use it for my notebook, DVD player, cell
phone, mp3 player, guitar trainer and PDA.The Kensington is simple,
compact and lightweight without a lot of fussy extra stuff to deal
with. The iGo and Targus systems require a separate dongle for
low-power devices like cell phones and CD-players.
"Brick" really isn't a good description though, because the
Kensington transformer has a super slim profile and is
lightweight.I bought the 120w version because some people reported
trouble with the 70w on newer HP Compaq Business notebooks.I
figured the 120w is good now and insurance against obsolesence in
the future.
The power supply is just part of the picture though, as the real
beauty of the system is the "smart tip" feature. I frequently fly
on international and long haul domestic trips and like to take
along my portable DVD player for entertainment.Instead of hauling
heavy auxiliary batteries or having both a DC adapter for the
plane/rental car AND the regular power bricks, cables and wall
warts for AC, now all I need is a single power supply and the right
tips.
It seemed like I was always forgetting to pack the one crucial
component I needed, like the USB cable to charge my Tungsten T or
the wall wart for my mp3 player. With this system, everything stays
in one pouch in my carry-on briefcase and the OEM power supplies
stay at home, no more sharing and forgetting....
On the downside, the AC power cord really needs to be longer. Now it
hangs down off the wall with the weight of the brick straining the
cord. This will eventually lead to failure and an electrical hazard
unless replaced. Also on my wish list is a separate European
two-prong power cord to eliminate the need to pack a plug
adapter.
Technical support is a joke, as the call desk didn't even know that
any of the DVD tips were available.Technical spec information is
nigh on impossible to get.My DVD player wasn't listed on the
website and I wanted to know which tip supplied 9v.
Good luck trying to find that out without a major research project.
I wish Kensington would just publish a compatibility chart on the
site and keep it current, instead of that goofy query-based tip
selector. It is so out of date, that it doesn't list many of the DVD
player models that have tips (e.g. Panasonic).
I wanted to find the right tip for my Philips PET1000 DVD player. I
finally had to go to the manufacturer websites that Kensington
makes tips for to dig out which one uses 9v (it was Panasonic).
Bought the tip, works like a charm. This works for other devices
that aren't listed too, like my Tascam gutiar trainer. If the tip
fits your device without forcing or isn't loose, it is probably the
right one. However, ALWAYS check the voltage and amperage first to
avoid frying your stuff.
The bottom line is that this is head and shoulders above the other
AC/DC systems out there. If Kensington can keep up the product
support by making new tips for gadgets as they hit the marketplace,
it could be around for a long time.

(More customer reviews)I broke my own
cardinal rule regarding buying tools from China.I don't
normally. But I knew Grizzly had a good reputation and I only needed
a set of Forstners for light duty so thought I would spring for
this carbide tipped set.I was a bit disappointed, as I should have
expected. The fit and finish was of typical medium-quality Chinese
tools. The hex shanks are nice for gripping in the chuck. They were
reasonably sharp, though more on that in a second.
The first bit I tried impressed me, running true and cutting into
hard maple easily. There was no tear-out on the entry edge, and only
a slight tear-out on the exit with a backer board. The problem came
with the second bit I used (1-5/8).It wouldn't even go into the
wood and stopped the drill press.Upon close examination I
discovered the carbide cutting edge had been ground with a slight
negative angle (opposite the positive cutting angle that there
should be). This of course is unacceptable.I examined the cutting
edges of the rest of the bits and though none was as bad as that
particular one, many had inconsistently ground cutting edges, and
most seemed to have one of the two edges ground at a lower cutting
edge than the other.
I measured the finished holes from the bits in hard maple with a
digital caliper. They were generally good with the following
exceptions:
?: +.005"
1: -.005"
1 1/8:+.011"
1 ?:+.01"
1 3/8:+.005"
1 ?:+.008"
1 ?:-.008"
These are mostly reasonable for a low-cost set, though a few were
out of what I would consider "limits".
I wrote Grizzly about the poorly ground bits and they offered to
replace them if they were unused, and after I paid for shipping and
a restocking fee.I had to write back and point out the
ridiculousness of this and upon actually reading my email that
time, they offered to replace the set and pay for shipping.I
haven't gotten them back in the mail yet but they promised to
"inspect" the set they ship to me.
So, overall, I was not greatly impressed. If you get a set that is
ground better, it might be a good value. They need to improve their
quality control, especially with the grind of the carbide cutting
edge.

capable of very smooth results, but I found that it didn't cut
quite as smoothly as the Forrest Chopmaster, which is currently my

tier for miter saw use, but if trying to decide which high-end

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit
reconditioned for...including shipping. When it came in it looked
brand new with a new hose and gun;I think someone bought it used it
once and then returned it.
Putting it together was pretty easy just the handle, pail hanger,
gun and hose and the suction and return tubes. It took longer to
find the correct wrench than it did to put it together. The
instructions in the manual are a little difficult to understand for
someone new like me that hates painting, but after 2 or 3 times I
finally got it.Priming the unit is easy just put the bucket under
the intake tube turn the dial to prime and turn it on till you see
paint running back into the bucket from the return tube. Then flip
the dial to spray and you are ready to go.There is a pressure dial
down on the side if you are spraying Latex run it up to maximum and
you are ready to let fly.Make sure you have a big hat goggles and a
mask because the worst part of this process especially in a small
room is the "FOG"I used a garbage bag (extra large)cut a hole in
the top and some arm holes; cheap easy and disposable and fired it
up.It took me a little bit of time to get used to spraying and how
it would work but once I did, it was the about as fast as I could
move,I painted a 220 sq ft room with 2 closets all with 8 foot
ceilings and also 2 ceilings in an ajoining bathroom in a matter of
minutes. This thing can lay down some serious work very very quickly
and the coverage was much better than a roller or brush just have
someone watch you and if you do miss a little spot just have them
point. You will need lots of light we painted at night and it was
hard to see.I would guess you could paint a garage wall 20x8 in
under a minute. It took longer to use 1 gallon cans (stirring and
repriming) so I would recommend 5 gallon buckets if possible.
Cleanup is pretty easy put the intake tube in a bucket of clean
water and the return tube back in the paint can and set it to prime
and turn it on just for a little while until the paint starts to
turn clear maybe 10 seconds or so totalthen put the return tube
back in the water bucket with clean water reprime it. Take the tip
off of the gun and throw it in a bowl of water set it to spray put
the gun at the edge of the paint can/bucket and turn it on to spray
the paint back in the bucket until it starts to get clear then put
the gun in a big sink and pump some water through the hose for a
few minutes. Then pull the filter out of the gun and brush it,I used
an old tooth brush clean it up. Then clean up the dust and any
spills and reassemble and you are done. Oh yeah also pull the
intake tube off and plug it with the attached plug after
cleaning. Also put a few drops of the separating oil in the top oil
hole not too much or it will leak all over the place.Overall if you
have some painting to do this unit will do it; don't waste your
money on the small little hand held units I did that a few years
ago and it was a waste of...bucks.There are also accesories for
this unit, for an 8 foot ceiling just stick your hand upand keep it
moving if you have a tall ceiling look into the 6 foot
extension.
