Another video of a project I'm working on in
between chainsaw carvings. In this video: A stool out
of a Cherry trunk with a 'craft union' in it. A craft
union is a the part on a tree where two different types
(and the required properties) of trees are combined.
This resulted in a thick lower trunk with branches
sticking out of it. I simply turned the sawed-off stump
upside down and made a stool out of it. Since this is
ment to be used indoors I had to spend a lot more time
in sanding, 3 days total. This stool was made in Hortus
Haren, Netherlands. Useful websites:

vHome improvement projects can be highly fruitful
with the right tools and techniques. Pottery Barn
expert, Hermann, demonstrates how patching up your home
wooden furniture can be an effortless task. Hermann
shows us how to repair the damaged surface of the
Pottery Barn Blakely Rustic Bench. All you need is a
touch-up or marker pen, wax fill stick, rough pad, a
soft pad and plastic card, which is available in all
hardware stores. He begins by rubbing the wax stick on
the damaged areas to fill up the small dents and
scrapes the excess with the plastic card. In order to
get a smooth finish, Hermann suggests rubbing the rough
pad on the repaired surface. To get rid of any unseemly
spots, dab it with the touch-up pen and leave the
refinished surface to dry for a few hours. Here's a
quick fix solution to remove lines off your Pottery
Barn Montego Pedestal Dining Table. Hermann suggests
using the right color tones and applying the fill stick
with pressure over the deep scratch. For a flawless
finish, he suggests using touch up pens with different
shades to match the colors of the table. To explore

Handi Mandi TV - Website: HandiMandiTV.weebly.com
Facebook www.facebook.com In the season of summer, I'm
starting another long-term project: a DIY rustic fence
out of branches and thick long sticks that are going to
be decorated for an added element to our cabin in the
woods feel that we have going in the backyard. So I'm
in the process of removing the bark (which is easier
after it's been wet or soaked by rain) and scraping off
the under-layer of the bark with a metal brush. Finally
I will painstakingly sand it down (coarser the
sandpaper the better - easier and faster), so I suggest
using the sponge ones, b/c they can curve better over
certain areas better than just regular sheets of
sandpaper. If your branch/stick has some knobs, you may
want to saw them off for a smoother feel. Also be sure
to check your hands, it can sometimes take it out on
your skin.

My next woodworking, or rather 'Chainsaw Carving'
project: Making a log bench was next on my 'to-do'
list. I had reserved two Oak logs for this project.
Since I rarely get my hands on large logs I was forced
to make the bench in pieces, bolting them together with
stainless steel rods. An advantage is that the bench
can be fully dismantled if you want to relocate it. The
bad side is that you have A lot of individual pieces
that you need to precise fit onto each other. The wood
was still fairy green, so you had to take warping and
shrinking into account as well. That took huge amounts
of time (and frustration). Despite the troubles I am
happy with the result. The color the Tung oil gives the
wood is incredible and that moment made up for most of
the frustrations. And to be fair, I again learned a lot
of new techniques like burning lines with the angle
grinder and steel cutting disks. Let me know what you
think of it. This bench was made in Hortus Haren,
Netherlands. Useful websites: www.saburr-tooth.com EU,

if the log is too large for the tool.
