Summary: eBay Suspension

How To Get Back

How To Get Back On eBay?

I am a longtime eBay seller, 4 months a go I got suspended. My doctor even prescribed me with some antidepressant drugs, as I just could not handle the pressure anymore.

I used to be an eBay platinum power seller, with 98.9% positive feedback.  In average I made about 400-500 usd a day in revenue. My entire product fulfillment was outsourced to a altwarehouse, business was good. However, once I got suspended my life turned into real nightmare. My cash-flow entirely stopped, a  lot of customers started to file disputes with PayPal, as they got an email from eBay that my account was suspended.  It took less than 24 hours until my PayPal account was limited for “unusual” account activity.

I was in a pretty serious situation, I had no choice other than finding a way how to open a new eBay account. I tried a couple of times, but I got suspended every-time within 48 hours. I started to more research online.  I came across different eBooks dealing with eBay suspension. However, from all the guides I purchased Bergmann seem to understand best the methods applied from eBay to suspended accounts.

It took me about 1 week and I was back in business. Now I have 4 different eBay and PayPal accounts which are all not connected. This makes my business a lot more safe, In case one of those accounts should get suspended or limited, I still have all my backup accounts available.

This Beat eBay Suspension guide outlines all the steps needed to open unlimited number of eBay account. It’s not free, but I would not call it expensive.

Why eBay Sucks

Trading in eBay is such an interesting and fun way to earn money. It is a good choice of a money making venture. It creates surprising opportunities to people in all ages who wants to be a part of eBay phenomenon. However, new eBay sellers sometimes make mistakes when starting out on eBay. This simple mistakes leave you negative feedback that can contribute to suspension in the future.alt

Being in a business world for quite some time. I have learned ways to keep my business moving and successful. One of your goals when you trade in ebay is not just  to make tons of money but at the same time to build a good name that can make a difference in this business world. You can do it by trying to avoid negative feedbacks and bad performance rating to avoid suspension.

Here are the five most common mistakes sellers make and how to avoid them.

Most sellers create a wrong and dull auction title

Do you ever wonder why you have very poor sales despite selling good quality product? One mistake most new sellers make is creating a wrong auction title. You should remember that an excellent auction title attract potential buyers. It is one way to market your product. It is the first thing they see when they come accross your product. This can invite complaints or negative feedbacks and affect your good name in eBay. To improve your eBay auction title you should; use as many of the available 55 characters as possible, use keywords that relate to your product and try to make your eBay auction title as to the point as possible.

Most sellers fail to write correct item description

I have seen numerous sellers in eBay who fail to write a correct item description. It can affect greatly your sales and your performance. Buyers are very miticolous and observant. If the item description does not accurately match the product buyers who have received the item will most likely leave a negative feedback comment and never buy form you again. Negative feedback also contribute to your bad rating performance and can lead you to suspension. Simply describe the product accurately giving as much information about it.

Most Sellers deceive the buyers by charging large amount of posting

Another huge mistake many new eBay sellers make is charging an overly large amount of posting they think by selling an item for a very low price but having the postage cost larger than the product price. They try to gain more money by deceiving potential buyers. This is a very common business strategy that is practiced by various individuals. This is one way of dishonesty. Buyers will definitely give you negative feedbacks. You must be very careful with bad rating. Your good selling performance counts a lot in eBay. It is never wrong to charge for the posting, but make it reasonable. In this way, you are unlikely to receive negative feedbacks.

Amzon Seller Victim Jason

This is a quick story of an Amazon user named Jason F. , who had been suspended from Amazon unfairly.

It was late in the year 2008 when Jason started up a business selling computers & accessories on Amazon. Though he was new to this niche his business had accelerated at a unbelievable pace in just a matter of few months. He was doing extremely well, his customers loved his selection of top brands and his ability to deliver fast. At the end of the year he achieved Power Seller status. Month after month his profit was going up and positive feedbacks were flocking back in. Then on one unsuspecting day, that all came crashing to the ground, when he opened an email which mentioned his Amazon account suspension notice. alt

Lost and without any resolve, weeks had passed and his business was now heading well into a Full Stop! To think that it was not his fault why he was suspended. Well, i guess this is very common in Amazon business even if you follow the rules and regulations, deliver on time, refund items. Chances of getting suspended is extremely high.

Let me tell you that his Amazon account was suspended indefinitely from listing too many auctions in one day. Suspended for listing auctions that Amazon makes money from to. Isn’t that what you are meant to be doing on Amazon?

He requested to Amazon to re-instate him, but Amazon was ignorant. Even though he was the victim and did nothing wrong, he continued to remain suspended.

He was totally gob smacked and not knowing what to do about this problem, he decided to start over and tried opening a brand new Amazon account, and unexpectedly – almost instantly right before his eyes it he was hit by another Amazon Suspension!

He was so fed up with the situation and now desperate to keep the doors of his business open, he kept on trying every possible scenario, testing and tweaking until he created a flawless system to fly under the radar and exploit the system. Maintaining an electronic identity that was totally invisible to Amazon was now child’s play. He cracked the code and exposed what makes them tick and how to manipulate their system! He didn’t realize it would be that easy.

He now has many seller accounts in different niches and many backup accounts so he never has to worry about being hit by an Amazon Suspension again.

Throughout the ordeal, he gained amazing insight into the Amazon and also Paypal, enabling him to fully leverage all of the loopholes to his advantage. And now he’s back on Amazon and doing even better than before. He is happy selling again.

Now I guess you can probably relate to this story because right now you are going through the same ordeal. Hey don’t worry… I relate to you and the way you feel about this because many went through the same disaster too.

How To Pay Your eBay Fees?

Are you getting suspended in eBay every time you make new accounts? This might be because you are not paying your fees in time. This article will help you understand when you are supposed to pay you eBay fees correctly to avoid your account suspension. alt

Getting suspension notices from eBay is a common problem faced by many of its sellers. There are various reasons why an account gets suspended in eBay and one such reason is not paying the auction fees eBay charges for sellers. Every seller has to pay seller fees or auction fees once a month to eBay and everyone has to pay it in time or it’s a sure chance that you account will get suspended.

There are various fees eBay charges for its sellers such as insertion fees for auction-style format listing, final value fees for auction-style format listing, insertion fees for fixed price format listing, final value fees for fixed price format listing, business and industrial equipment fees, optional feature fees, reserve price fees, listing upgrade fees, eBay picture hosting fees, seller tools fees and many others. When a person agrees to be a seller on eBay he also agrees that eBay can charge them for seller fees and the fees will be paid in time. Each time you don’t pay the fees there will be a due. Still if you don’t clear all the dues in given time your account will be suspended.

EBay has extended its service to us for our convenience and for us to conduct our business through them. Charging a small amount of fees for all our business transactions through them is very fair from their side and it should …be fair from our side also by paying them in time. Not paying those fees means not paying them for the service they offer to us. In such cases eBay has all the right to suspend those accounts.

There are various kinds of fees eBay charges to its sellers for having any kind of listings or sale they perform. For example if an item is listed in a particular category, then a percentage of the listing price will be charged by eBay to its seller account. Same way when an item is sold out or has ended with a winning bid then also the seller account is charged with a final value fees which will be a percentage of the bid amount. Other than that if the seller wants to have pictures of his item shown along with the product then eBay charges a particular fees for that also called picture hosting fees. Any fees that a seller owes to eBay or any fees due will be shown in myebay menu. So make sure to check regularly the fees due when you make different transactions through eBay because every seller is supposed to pay them.

Everybody wants to trade undisturbed in ebay. Suspension is a clear disturbance to your business. So in order to enjoy uninterrupted service in eBay make sure you double check your fees due and also make sure you pay them in time.

Can You Be Suspended For A Negative Feedback?

I believe that maintaining a positive feedback is eBay is very difficult. Even if you are a power seller and making much money for doing honest business, negative feedback is inevitable. You will not be able to satisfy everyone. Even if you have one hundred percent positive feedback on eBay now, eventually it must fall. Many customers are pretty demanding and can be very unreasonable that somewhat difficult to deal with. alt

Some would leave you negative feedback’s without even trying to resolve the issue first. Not all of your customers will be happy with you all of the time. You might make a mistake resulting in an unhappy customer. Sometimes factors beyond your control (such as a lost shipment) may result in a negative feedback. You can avoid negative feedback’s by some of the tips i provided. It helped a lot in my quest to minimize negative feedback’s from unhappy customers.

Respond to emails and messages quickly

Check your eBay messages, and respond as quickly as possible. Even if you don’t know the answer immediately, or you have bad news, it’s better to give a quick reply. All buyers contact the sellers either emails or text messages to inquire and know about the item. Be sure to be very responsive and professional.
Provide a shipment tracking number

In any shipment transaction you should always provide your customers a shipment tracking number. Buyers want information. They want it fast and on time. They want to know the status of their shipments. Whichever shipping provider you choose, make sure you get a tracking number for shipments.
Refund their shipping or give some other freebie

Another effective way to reduce and avoid your negative feedback’s is to give free shipping and give freebies. You can always please unhappy customers if they are frustrated with the items they purchased from you. People love free shipping. It goes a long way towards pacifying angry buyers. It’s especially handy for back-ordered shipments. You could also give them free samples, or a coupon for their next purchase.

Respond to the negative feedback

Always respond to negative feedback. It is something that you can always fix and deal with. Respond immediately and settle the misunderstanding especially if you can’t get the buyer to change their mind. It lets you present your side of the story. Talk to them. You don’t want to leave a negative feedback without any reply. Shoppers will see it an assume the worst of you. Answers the questions raised by the buyer to avoid confusion.
Be positive and move on

Be positive and learn your lessons. Feedback’s teach us what we lack as a seller and what we need to change in order to attract more buyers and increase performance rating. Don’t dwell too long on negative feedback’s. Do what you can to make the buyer happy. Respond to the negative feedback on your feedback profile, and move on. Once you fix  and address the complaints, then it would results to positive outcomes.

How To Beat An eBay Suspension

Here are the basic steps you should take in order to create an eBay account:

1. Remove TurboLister and clear your tracks

Removing any eBay software off your machine limits eBay’s ability to link you to an account. For example every time you connect to eBay through TurboLister, your user id, and Ip address is transmitted to eBay and compared just as if you were logging into eBay directly. Any other software eBay has does the same thing. So remove any eBay software off your computer before getting started.

2. Remove browser cookies

eBay tracks and monitors your activities through your cookies. They also have the added advantage of monitoring your surfing habits with the cooperation of many associates and affiliates remotely monitoring your activities without you even being logged into eBay!

3. New IP Address

EBay has launched a “Trusted Selling with Identity Confirmation” to controls and fights the problems of account hijacking. This is simply proof that eBay monitors your computer. Changing your Ip address is beneficial.  Simply find a way to change your IP address before creating a new eBay account.
4. New Phone Number and home address

It is not difficult to obtain second phone lines, virtual phone numbers, or cell numbers. You need a real working phone number. There are a lot of options for free phone numbers out there that forward calls to your cell phone or you can answer online, etc. Just know you need a real working number for eBay verification. Which regards to your address, you can’t use your old one linked to another eBay account. Use either a P.O. Box or a Virtual Address if you’re expecting people to mail payments. The main thing is the address should be real.
5. New Credit Card  account and Paypal account

Create a new virtual credit card to verify eBay and a new Paypal account. If you’re a small seller, and you don’t have a lot of eBay accounts, stick with Paypal. If you sell a lot, and have multiple eBay accounts you’ll most likely need a Merchant Account.

6. Create your new eBay account using GMail

GMail is the best option for an email address. Use your new name, address and phone number to signup for eBay. Verify your eBay account. Add your giftcard for your seller account. Continue.
7. Add A Merchant or Paypal Account To Ebay

Select if you’re going to use Paypal or Merchant account and link it to your new EBay account. EBay hides the Merchant account option so you’ll have to dig around to get to it.

8. Start Selling

You’ve got a new account and you can successfully start ebaying again. Just be extra careful t6his time to avoid suspensions in the future.
So there you have it, a basic guide to setting up a new eBay identity. This is very basic, but an outline of what should be done when creating a new account.

Why Did eBay Ban You?

It is a common knowledge that eBay notify sellers through email when their accounts get suspensded and tell them what to do on how reinstate their account. This will give the seller a chance to understand what he did wrong and how can he correct it.

There are 3 vital reasons why ebay suspends accounts even if it is a power seller account. Once he violates one of these. He is likely to be suspended.

Non-payment of eBay fees

Your ebay account can be suspended due to non-payment of fees and they are categorize into three. One is when you didn’t pay your seller fees. Ebay allows you ro reinstate your account by making a one-time payment.  The second one is when you didn’t reimburse ebay. When complaints arise and a refund is needed ebay, most of the time pay the buyer directly to minimize problems, but in case you fail to reimburse ebay, your account can be subject to suspension. You need to set up a reimbursement paying method in the Financial Information section on Personal Information page in your account. The last one is when your payment info is out-of-date. So it is advised to change your automatic payment method if payment method you have on file is outdated, or has recently been declined.

A serious violation of one of our rules and policies

Ebay made strict policies that intend to support the laws and regulations and for the common benefit of the sellers and ebay community. Knowing the rules and policies on eBay can help you become a more successful seller. It is necessary you read, understand, and regularly check their policies including the rules for sellers and the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws and regulations on the sale of your item. If you are aware what kind of business you are in and what are the guidelines, problems about your account can be minimized.
Selling prohibated and restricted items

As we can observe that one of the ebay policies is to discourage selling prohibited, restricted and potentially infringing items. Prohibited items are not allowed to be sold on eBay, often because they’re illegal. Examples are, chance listings that promote giveaways, random drawings, raffles, or prizes, firearms, weapons, and knives, offensive material, which includes items that are racially or ethnically inappropriate and prohibited services, which include services that are illegal or sexual in nature or that violate the eBay User Agreement .
Restricted items can generally be sold on eBay but only under certain conditions that sellers are required to meet. Examples of items include: Artifacts, grave-related items, cell phone (wireless) service contracts, food and healthcare items and vehicles and related equipment and devices.

Potentially infringing items may be in violation of certain copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. So some items are not allowed because they often violate copyright or trademark laws. This also applies to certain types of information that appear in listings. Here are some examples: Replicas, counterfeit items, and unauthorized copies.

So after getting suspended once and you try to make another account eBay can easily know that it’s the same you. There are temporary cookies and permanent cookies. Temporary cookies can be easily seen as it will be stored in your browser whereas permanent cookies will be hard to find as it will be installed into your hard drive once you register to a website. EBay uses permanent cookies to keep a track on all its users.

Another way how eBay tracks all accounts include email id’s, bank information, address, telephone numbers, credit card numbers, social security numbers etc. So even is you create a new account by giving different information’s on all the above said information’s, eBay can still track you by using cookies. The only way to successfully start a new account on eBay is to know all the ways eBay uses to track you and to avoid giving them any chances with it.
