Walking the model homes is a substantial part of the new home buying process. The model is the first impression most buyers get of their builder. And sometimes...it's the only impression they get of their builder prior to stepping into their new home. One of the best new home sales techniques I've ever witnessed was to take incoming visitors directly from the sales office's front door to the front door of the model; exchanging names on the way. Nothing sells better than a model and new home sales reps know this! One of the things that changed because of the recent residential housing explosion was the basic number of new home builders available in any given area. The many, many options can be overwhelming for new home buyers. Having options is wonderful, but having so many options that you can't make a decision can definitely be a sticky situation. The model's ability to clearly present builder philosophy, style, features, and options is the best opportunity for buyers to get a visual of the product and compare and contrast with their other options. The model makes it possible for buyers to notice the differences between builders (sometimes small and sometimes huge) that will make their decision an informed one. Take Tartesso.
