I have a new ipod 4G shuffle... I plugged it in to a (modified) amp today and played music off it... the battery would die then come back as full when its unplugged from the amp... I tried to charge it and put it on my laptop but it dosent charge and its not recognized. I also had a 2G ipod shuffle and I blasted music off of it all the time but it never malfunctioned the way this one did... What can I do to repair it?
Answer
Have you tried restoring it? Plug it into your computer, pick it's name from the sidebar to the left, settings will appear in the main window. Click restore. Afterwards, you will have to transfer all the music back on.
If this doesn't work, I don't have anything else for you. Sorry. All I can say is iPod shuffles were not designed to be plugged into amps. Maybe it's just outside of it's capabilities.
