(More customer reviews)I purchased the
DP-02CF expecting a Multi-Track Recorder, much like the 10 or so
Recorders I've owned over the past 25 years past from
Tascam. However, even though the new Digital technology is
wonderful, things here are not quite what they appear to be in this
case...
First, even though you are using a CF Card and you can use up to an
8 gig card [which is great] you are limited to .wav format in FAT
32 which burns 1/2 a gig of space off the top, and limits the
length/size of your files per song.Plus the usual FAT 32 file
corruption issues which can sneak up on you in a hurry, trust
me.Also, be careful, very very careful when buying a card for this
deck. The approved media list has a big list of cards that made me
cringe, several of the 8 gig options cost lest than $30 on Amazon,
Gasp! I mean, you get what you pay for and if you're using ANYTHING
less than a Sandisk Extreme 3, you're going to end up cussing out
the unit and tascam within 2 weeks!Trust me on this one...
Second, where do I begin?
When you setup a recording and start adding tracks, each time you
playback and listen to what you recorded, you are required to go
back and reassign everything from scratch, including track
sends!Nice huh...This doesn't sound like much at first, but after
you use the unit for a while it becomes a time consuming adventure
in frustration.
Next, the Deal Killer...
This unit should be described as a very limited Mixer, with a 2
track recorder with bounce down capabilities slapped on the
top. This is not a multi-track recorder like any I've ever owned
before or even a decent mixer, since NO EFFECT SEND is available
during recording! You heard me right, you can't even add
compression to a vocal as you record, but more on this later.
So, I was expecting PRE and POST eq [as almost every other deck
I've owned from Tascam in the past] but alas even though there is
nice eq, effect sends and controls, they are all POST.In fact in
Record mode you only have 2 tracks, dry to the card that's it.Only
in POST final mix-down to a DVD, or whatever you make your master
on [No bounce-down eq/effect capabilities either since EVERYTHING
IS POST HERE!] Like I said, this makes this unit a mixer with a
recorder slapped on, not a full featured recorder as it appears to
be.I mean if your 15 and this is your first recorder for band
demos, great!Otherwise you will be sadly disappointed.
This means if you plan on using the eq, and effecting your signals
during bouncing down, NONE of the adjustments you make during
mixdown will record to the track, it's just a mixer kids! So, if
your vocal stack of 4 tracks needs a little hi end added during
bounce, or if the bass guitar/guitar/keyboard mixdown needs a
little extra push, or you need to do anything during the mix-down
process getting to your final 8 tracks, tough luck!Only in the
final mixdown to another device, can you use any of the
eq/effects.This is why the unit is so inexpensive, and why it's
useless for anything other than live 2 track demos and practicing
bounce down, so that later when you buy a real recorder you'll know
what to do.
This is the reason why I was in shock when my unit arrived.Just
remember when looking for a multi-track, always ask up front if
your deck has PRE and POST options for eq/effects.I should have
asked, oh well...
Here's another example of the frustration....Let's say your
recording live and you want to add in some compression to the vocal
track as it's live going into the deck. Tough luck! You can't use
the effect send to add your $1000 compresser/limiter and
Exciter. How about adding a little eq to the bass guitar from the
line in, same deal tough luck!NOTHING can be added to the
instruments as they go in, or as they are bounced down, it is ONLY
during final mix-down TO ANOTHER DEVICE that you can you add
anything!
One last time, everything on this mixer [aka multi-track] is
post. You might as well buy a nice mixer, and a zoom, you'll have
more options and a better final mix.Plus, you won't have to worry
about your CF card corrupting from the Fat32 formatting after
spending 3 days recording and bouncing down tracks.
If they had only been honest in the description of this unit [and
it's NOT Amazon's fault, they just list the factory description
which is totally misleading] then I could have avoided wasting a
week trying to find out why I couldn't save any of my mixdown
settings.

(More customer reviews)I am new to digital
recording; I bought the Zoom to make podcasts, and I wanted both
portability and good sound quality.I settled on the Zoom because
the phantom power feature meant that I could use the best possible
external microphone, should that be necessary. In fact the internal
microphones seem to me very good, and they actually produce better
sound quality than the external one I have tried (a leftover from
my cassette deck days, so perhaps that doesn't mean much).
The Zoom seems to do its job very well, but I have two big
reservations. The first is--and I never thought I would care about
such a thing--the ergonomics.The display reminds me of my first PC;
the feel of the buttons like my first plastic Walkman, and often
there is no sense that one has successfully pushed a button, or
made one stop and start (ending a recording is curiously delayed),
though you get used to it.
The second, far more important, problem is the complexity of the
interface, combined with documentation that is no doubt very full,
but hardly user friendly, especially for novices (who might well be
an important target market, so this is odd). The combination of jod
dial and (tacky) menu button is not intuitive; there seems no
obvious logic to when to use the button and when to use the
dial. And the manual has all the clarity of an old printer
manual.Even the "Simple Recording Guide" has at a crucial stage
"Adjust senstivity with [mic gain]switch," which is probably fine
for an experience user but to a novice was slightly
opaque.Similarly, the triumphant conclusion "Play the recorded
file" is unfortunate; not just because of course there's no
speaker, but because headphones gave a misleading impression of the
recording levels.
I'm sure I can use this thing to do the job.But the whole
experience has been a steady stream of irritations.Experienced
users will perhaps be impressed; novices should simply be prepared
to do a bit of homework.

(More customer reviews)I've had my Lanikai
LU-21 Soprano Ukulele for about six months now, and I'm still
pretty impressed with the quality of that little instrument, given
how little I paid for it. Not long ago I decided to get a tenor uke
to compliment it, andI thought it would be nice to get a ukulele
with a solid top this time, if it wasn't too expensive.
I looked at the various tenors available from Amazon and other
vendors, and this one jumped right out at me. It was the least
expensive tenor with a solid top, and being a Lanakai, it comes
with Aquia Nylgut strings. I ordered it, and it arrived this
morning. (If you haven't tried Nylgut strings yet- let me assure
you that they're fantastic. Much beter than plain nylon.I have them
not only on my ukes, but on my fretless banjo as well, and I'm
ordering a few sets for my classical guitar)
In comparison with the laminate top LU-21, the solid top S-T is
significant louder, and has a much richer tone. The longer neck is
easier to play, and of course the tenor is the favorite size uke of
ukulele virtuosos past and present like Lyle Ritz and Jake
Shimabukuro. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit
the first time I saw it at Guitar Center. It is very easy to use
straight out of the box. I was impressed with the MP3 playback,
effects, sound and appearance of the unit. Every button or knob is
there for a reason and can be used while playing or mixing music.
The "Accutrak Faders" is the best I ever used so far, "If your song
is a little off beat before crossfading, the Accutrak Fader" picks
up the slack and blends your mix perfectly. I rate it over past
mixers I've had like the Behringer VMX 1000, Numark (Can't remember
the model)and any Gemini to list a few. I used this unit with
M-Audio Torq and it works fine. I like its ability to interact with
DJ software. If you are a mobile DJ, all you need is this unit, a
mic, a pair of powered speakers with a sub-woofer, your cd's or
laptop with an external drive and you're ready to rock any party.
It comes with a very good flight case that protects the unit and
can be dragged from gig to gig. I must say that I am happy with my
purchase and would recommend this unit to anyone entering the DJ
industry for the first time, or even as a professional.

great if you have a creative mind and patience. If your looking for
a plug and play synth with unique presets, then not so much. Thing
is you are able to create your own sounds, which I have done and
had huge success with. The previous reviews knock the vocoder. If
your buying this for the vocoder your most likely making lame
music. I've used or rather misused the vocoder and have had some
really strong successes. I think people who gravitate toward glitch
hop, etc, will be very happy with this synth. It also comes with
software that enables you to edit the sounds with a much more used
friendly UI than four knobs. Some of the other Korg synths don't
allow you to build your own sounds, this does.
Product Description:
The R3 is a full-fledged synthesizer that provides an easy and
affordable way to enjoy sophisticated synthesis and advanced sound
creation. In a compact and light-weight body, it packs 37
full-size, velocity sensing keys, along with two-timbre/eight-voice
performance power. The sound generator section uses the same
acclaimed MMT (Multiple Modeling Technology) used by the KORG
RADIAS, delivering thick, gutsy, and crisp analog sounds. With
quality that will satisfy both professionals and beginners, the R3
is a great choice for adding synth sounds on stage or in music
production.

find a KOA ukulele at such a great price. This ukulele has a
beautiful tone and sounds fantastic amped! I own four ukuleles now
and this one is by far my favorite. Lanikai, although made in
china, makes outstanding ukuleles. When I first got it, it made a
buzzing sound when strumming loud. This is an easy fix. There was a
wire resting up against the soundboard. I just reached into the
sound hole and adjusted the wire so it was no longer resting on the
soundboard. As a result, the best ukulele ever! The tuning pegs are
phenomenal. The cutaway design really helps when playing the higher
frets. To top it all off, this ukulele looks fantastic. If you are
considering a tenor ukulele to add to your ukulele family, I highly
recommend this one.

(More customer reviews)I must preface this
review by saying that I can't comment on using these powered
speakers as a PA system; I bought a pair for my keyboard rig. They
replace my old Mackie SRM450s, which I loved, but at 50+lbs each
was getting tired of shlepping around (these are 27 lbs each).I
don't miss the Mackies at all.The output from these is incredibly
loud, crystal clear and punchy. They claim "1000 watts" but what's
odd is that they don't give any qualifiers like you usually see
("+/- 3 db, 20 - 20K, @0.1% distortion"), just a plain & simple
"1000 watts."Regardless, these speakers have incredible
headroom.I've done gigs playing left-hand bass and am completely
satisfied.Obviously, with an 8" woofer you will not get the lowest
octave of bass. Also, they use a tuned port to extend the
low-frequency response and there seems to be a "hump" at around 100
- 200 Hz that I compensate for with EQ.
One characteristic of the K8 is that the smaller woofer gives a
wider dispersion angle. On stage, I set them up angled in a bit, so
both the stage and audience is covered.Comments from the audience
are that they sound great, and the musicians I play with also
comment on how they hear me perfectly (this was not the case with
the Mackies).
The K8 has two inputs (each of them a "combo" XLR and 1/4" jack)
that can be used simultaneously, each with a level control and
pass-through; there is also an output that has both inputs
mixed. One of the inputs is switchable between mic and line level,
the other is line level only. There are some other cool features,
like the ability to turn the power light on the front of the
speaker to a "limit" indicator - this tells you when the onboard
DSP acts to limit the woofer's cone excursion.I've yet to see this
light flash, despite playing some punishingly loud gigs!

(More customer reviews)If you are in to
producing/engineering and want a super mean condensor mic without
spending alot of cash, this is one to get; very cheap with an
extremely expensive sound. It does not have any polar switches or
any built in eq's, but most all DAW's do have eq's and phase
reverse abilities. Plus, its better to cut freq's that are there,
then to try and boost freq's that aren't there; the latter is
impossible actually. I'm telling you, don't let the price tag throw
you off; this baby makes everything sound good. I've used it on
vocals, acoustic guitars, drums as an overhead/ride mic as well as
a room mic for ambience. I also have a matched pair of NT 5's that
are also absolutely amazing. Rode is a great Australian company
that makes amazing mics with a 10 year warranty; yep...10 years.
Get one, you won't be dissapointed. Remember though, bad acoustics
= bad recording sound.

(More customer reviews)Basically I am
still in the stage that lasts 1-2 weeks where (as in all ukuleles)
the strings are still stretching, so you have to tune it
constantly. However, when it is in tune, I find it quite nice. The
action (how high the strings are over the frets) is good, the
machine heads work well, frets are good, and tone is nice.At first
the bridge buzzed a little on the e string, but after the sting
stretched somewhat the buzz left.Beng a baritone, the sound is not
as high pitched as the more typical concert or tenor. And nothing
like the plinky soprano. So the sound is inbetween a guitar and a
regular uke sound. If you were used to a Gibson guitar neck, like I
was, it is not as wide as the four strings on a Gibson. So I'm
missing a few finger placements at first. The less wide Fender
guitar users should feel more at home.In all, not a bad first uke
at all.Not a Stradivarius, but a lot better than most $50
guitars.

(More customer reviews)Coming from a
turntable and vinyl background, I was and still am excited about
this product.I purchased it and have been very content. The unit is
about 35lbs. and VERY solid.I have to get use to scratching on it
compared to turntables. The platter should have been made 9" but I'm
taking it in stride. All crossfaders have a quality feel, no static
and the scratch curves feel as good or better than my Rane
TTM57sl.
My only complaint is that Numark did not future-proof this unit
with effect buttons.I find the software (Serato iTch) and mixing is
(CURRENTLY) a little more boring than Serato Scratchlive and my 57
mixer.Serato is supposedly working on effects and making iTch's
software closer in features to Scratchlive.
I purchased the Numark case with the unit and REALLY love doing
mobile gigs now.No more individual TT cases and mixer cases. No more
RCA and ground wires and at least 15 minutes less setup time.I'm
saving close to 70 lbs. in travel weight too.One bit of advice is
to be wary of using PCs with this unit.I have a Unibody Macbook Pro
2.66Ghz but struggled making a Core2-Duo 2.2Ghz 4GB ram PC work
"glitch-free" with the NS7 and iTch.It had quirky behavior while
tracks were playing, random stops and various audio dropouts. Many
PCs will (by default) have IRQ sharing which can hose up USB
connectivity (the main source of NS7 communication to your laptop)
if there are conflicts.
In troubleshooting, I had to insure bluetooth, anti-virus,
firewalls, NIC cards, screen savers, wireless Network cards,
on-board video and all sorts of services were disabled on the PC (a
TOTAL administrative nightmare!) and still ended up having to run
the latency at 5ms or greater for decent performance. My mic had
major echo delay with this setting so enough was enough.
I purchased the MBPro and have not had a SINGLE glitch since. My
latency is at 1ms AND I can run apps in the background while DJ'ing
without problems.I highly recommend the NS7 (with adequately
powered MAC) for any mobile DJ.

contains mic input, RCA line input, and both 1/4" and 1/8"
headphone outputs with volume control.
The NS7 comes with an integrated laptop stand that supplies safe,
secure mounting for your laptop. You can use an ultra-small space
because NS7 elevates your laptop off the table. Precision Control
The NS7 sends control information over USB at more than ten times
the standard MIDI rate. This innovative communication technique
yields extremely high-precision, low-latency control.
There's nothing like dropping the needle on a record for quickly
locating a point in the track, and with Strip Search--the unique
virtual-needle-drop touch strip--you can locate a point instantly
within the track using the on-screen waveform
Five hot-cue-assign buttons on each deck digitally mark your cues
on the track. These marker points are recallable in ITCH and
Scratch LIVE, and you can load Scratch LIVE cue points in ITCH.
Each deck offers an extensive Serato-style loop section, and you
can choose between manual and auto-loop functions and an automatic
BPM analyzer further assists loop makers. Creating automatic smart
loops of any measure length is a breeze, and you can mutilate and
modify to heart's content with a variety of controls such as
Doubling, Halving, Shift, and manual controls. Audio Quality
The NS7 contains a host of professional audio connectors and a
multichannel, 24-bit USB digital-audio interface. The
high-definition post-mix analog audio output features a minimized
circuit path with containing only one audiophile-grade bipolar
capacitor. This optimized design maximizes phase coherence,
ensuring that audio is tight and punchy. Serato ITCH Software
IF you use Scratch LIVE, you'll become quickly familiar with Serato
ITCH. Because ITCH doesn't require a timecode interface, your
system can be as simple as, say, NS7 and your computer. Since ITCH
makes timecode a thing of the past, you won't need to worry about
needles skipping or vinyl wearing out. You can load your Scratch
LIVE crates, loops, presets, and cue points seamlessly in ITCH. The
NS7 also works with most other MIDI DJ software and supports
iTunes.
ITCH handles audio processing and mixing including channel fading,
EQ, crossfading and track trim are processed for outstanding
control and management of your tracks, ease of recording your set,
clip-proof gain management, and BPM calculation using the power of
your computer's processor.
The History function in ITCH keeps a comprehensive record of every
track played and exports sessions from your history to 'txt',
'csv', or 'm3u'. ITCH also has a Loop Roll function that provides a
looping effect where the playhead jumps back to normal time when
you release the loop. Built-in key support ensures that ITCH reads
key tags from MP3 files and displays them in the 'key' column in
your library.

(More customer reviews)We bought this
powered mixer to replace a defective one at our church. Our
sanctuary can seat 900 people and so it is a fairly large
auditorium. The mixer has more power than the previous powered
mixer and many more features. I especially like the individual
channel mute buttons so we can kill a mic without having to move
the gain adjustments. The only thing I did not like about this
mixer is there was no block working diagram available. So we had to
construct one for ourselves. To a trained eye, by using a block
schematic diagram, it is easier to know how to set up the mixer for
different applications and to troubleshoot a problem.
The actual steady state power output is more like 200 watts (each
of the two stereo outputs)for our 8 ohm speaker system but still is
greater that the old powered mixer. That is a total of 400 watts as
compared to the (at first glance) advertised 1200 watts. We do not
have to use the maximum gain on any channel so the output is fine
for our use. There is also a headset output that follows the actual
powered signal which can give you a better idea of mixed signal
that is sent to the speakers and to our DVD and CD recorders.
The people at Behringer were able to answer all my questions
without any problems so tech support was great. We did have a
little difficulty in figuring out how to use the FX special effects
(reverb, etc) generator but once we did figure it out, using it was
just as advertised. You can probably guess that the instruction
manual is not extensively done. But with a limited budget for an
emergency purchase of a powered mixer, we are thoroughly satisfied
with the quality and price.
The price is exceptional and caused a few doubting comments about
how could we get what we needed for such a small price. We have
been using the unit for two months now with absolutely no
problems.
My suggestion is that before you purchase this unit, download the
instruction manual from the Behringer site. You will see the output
connection is not a 1/4 jack. If that is what you have, you will
have to buy an adapter or convert the present cable connection to
the new type. The adapters or connectors are not very expensive
(Neutrik NA4LJX Speakon To 1/4" Mono Jack Adapter)and cost under
$11 including shipping. You can optionally by the Speakon
connectors and convert the speaker cable to the new connector
type.

If you need superior stereo sound for small club gigs, churches or
speeches, but have to keep the outboard gear to a minimum, the
16-channel PMP3000 can deliver. This 1,200- Watt mixer has built-in
mic preamps and an FX processor, as well as enough power to drive
mains and monitors, thanks to dual onboard 600-Watt power amps.
Superior stereo sound for small club gigs, churches or
speeches. Click to enlarge. 100 mind-blowing digital effect presets such as delay, chorus
and reverb. Seven-band graphic EQ for optimizing your sound. Massive Mono or Stunning Stereo
The PMP3000 gives you the choice of 2 x 600-Watt stereo, 2 x
600-Watt dual mono or 1,200-Watt bridged mono sound. Whether the
center of attention happens to be a folk trio, a speech, or a
synth-rock band with mind-boggling stereo patches, the PMP3000 can
accommodate. This sonic versatility also makes it an excellent
choice for churches, where vocals and stereo recordings often share
face time. Classic Control, State-of-the-Art Sound
Leave the mic preamps at home, because the quality of sound that
was once only available in the studio is ready to go wherever you
do. Eight built-in, boutique-caliber mic preamps with switchable
+48 V phantom power make it possible to use either dynamic or
condenser mics with the PMP3000. Built-in Digital Effects Processor
The PMP3000 is also equipped with a 24-bit FX processor, giving you
100 mind-blowing digital effect presets such as delay, chorus and
reverb. Apply them to any channel, as well as to the monitors and
main output. In case you're pulling double duty as sound engineer
and performer, the FX processor features a footswitch jack for
remote on/off. Changing the Channels
The PMP3000 gives you excellent flexibility to accommodate whatever
a performance requires. Channels 1-8 are for mics, guitars and
other mono instruments. Stereo channels 9-16 are ideal for
keyboards. All mono channels have 3-band EQ, switchable Low Cut
filter for eliminating infrasonics, and Clip LEDs to indicate when
the input signal is too hot. The Ins and Outs
Use the CD/TAPE IN RCA inputs to feed in external stereo signals
from CD players or tape decks. The VOICE CANCELLER switch
eliminates the vocals from pre-recorded music for karaoke
applications.
CD/TAPE RCA outputs send line-level signals from the mixer to a
recording device. Left and right output 1/4" connectors are there
in case you need to connect more power amps. Connect your monitor
power amps or active monitor speakers to the MON SEND output.
A STANDBY switch mutes all mic channels during breaks, preventing
the microphones from picking up noise or interference. You can
leave all faders untouched while you play a CD via the CD/TAPE
inputs.
The FBQ Feedback Detection system automatically shows you which
frequencies are causing feedback. Just touch the FBQ button and
watch the red LEDs on the 7-band graphic EQ pinpoint which
frequencies to adjust for optimized sound, without the
feedback. Speaking of Optimized Output
The PMP3000's POWER AMP switch toggles between three operating
modes: MAIN, MON/MONO and BRIDGE (the power outputs of A and B on
the back panel are added and provided at OUTPUT B). Dual mono mode
allows you to use Output A for mono Mains and Output B for
monitors. This clever functionality powers both your mains and
monitors without the need for an additional power amp. What's in the Box

(More customer reviews)Purchased two of
the B215D speakers for live gigs. I run vocal, guitar, synth and
two drum machines through this system and the sound blows me away.
I tried the 15" EONs, but the drums would cause them to clip at
larger gigs. What a bargin...these Behringers are half the price of
EONs and have a better sound that can handle higher volumes. I
first tried the the B212D (12" speakers), but the 15" speakers
(B215D) added a lot of bottom to my sound which is needed for the
drum machines. Don't give it a second thought, just stop
lookin'...and start cookin' with a set of these bad boys. Lots of
compliments on my new sound from my repeat customers.

Thanks to our revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology and
internal switch-mode power supplies, EUROLIVE D Series loudspeakers
provide a much better power-to-weight ratio than competing active
speakers. Put simply, you get all the power without the
back-breaking weight. And the sound quality of these lightweight
loudspeakers exceeds that of our extremely popular EUROLIVE B212A
and B215A systems — plus we've included two 200-Watt models, the
B210D (10") and B208D (8") for less demanding applications.Due to
their high-efficiency design, they crank out 550/200 of the
cleanest, punchiest audio Watts you've ever heard from a compact
loudspeaker system. The integrated sound processor provides total
system control, along with dependable protection of the LF and HF
transducers, thanks to the built-in active high-pass filter, which
virtually eliminate distortion — even at extreme operating levels.
In addition, all four models feature an Ultra-Low Noise (ULN)
Mic/Line input with LEVEL control and a dedicated 2-band EQ
(bass/treble) for easy control.

(More customer reviews)I've played my
Ray34 for six weeks and it's benched my entire collection. The
sound is incredible, plays like butter, perfectly balanced, very
effective 3-band EQ, stays completely in tune after hours of
playing, and is just one solid bass guitar that has been very well
constructed!I pound out classic rock n roll grooves and also get
slap crazy at times. All around a versatile, powerful, and very
affordable instrument from the Ernie Ball family at about a third
of the price of the American-made versions; I cannot tell the
difference between those and my Indonesian companion.I also paid
more than the current Amazon price - but I couldn't wait for Amazon
to release the guitar; all the reviews I read were very positive
and owners were astonished at the price (as I am).The one negative
I did read about pertained to the future value of the guitar itself
- that it would go down.Hard to say because many brands from abroad
have actually gone up in value over time; but that aside, I don't
plan on getting rid of this axe ever.

(More customer reviews)Bought this mixer
to have the whole band on ONE mixer...... This solved the problem
with channels to spare and added some beautifull extras. The busses
where great for isolating the whole drumset, vocals etc..... And
sending dry sounds to the house PA. The fx are great that no extra
gear has to be hauled. In live performances we need minimal fx so
these are awesome. Still have to try it out in my studio setup to
see the performance there but I don't think I'll be disappointed.
Great product and great handling.
