forward to getting this, was not disappointed with purchase, only
drawback was took a long time to put together, and please follow
directions not to tighten all the screws until all parts are
assembled.Learned the hard way, tighted screws and then proceeded
to opposite side and holes did not line up, had to loosen opposite
side. Also one of the bolts was too big for the hole, thought of
using drill to widen, but then would have lost the threading , so i
took apart other side and switched screws, so happened one hole was
larger on one side than the other so that worked !!! Wonderfully
long , for those w' long stride, well built , easy to read
monitors, great position of handles. Very Happy with this
treadmill, did use heavy foam pads on carpet, very low noise, Great
Deal, inexpensive for what u get, old treadmill was bulky and not
long enough for my stride/ running or walking my toes w/ hit the
front , I would highly recommend the T90 !

About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial
cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and
fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking
has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and
circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning
fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly
exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of
your own home.
From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced
athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested
in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular
use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace,
distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all
while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a
magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips,
treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded
platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable,
low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete
surface.
Many treadmills offer unique features like a fold-up design for
easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed,
distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG
grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless
of the features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of
aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting
cardiovascular benefits without requiring a commute to the gym or a
jog in the rain.

(More customer reviews)My husband and I
are really enjoying our Horizon Fitness T93 Treadmill. He uses it
for jogging, and I use it to walk hills. It was quick and easy to
put together (only took an hour). The MP3 adapter is awesome. The
incline transition is so quick and quiet that you can barely tell
its moving (until your heart rate increases)! The adjustable
cushioning of the belt is nice also. This is a very solid machine.
We are very happy with our purchase.

(More customer reviews)For a not
mechanically inclined person, putting this elliptical together was
a painful and frustrating 4+ hours. I was missing a few random
washers, etc. but nothing crucial to putting it together. The
assembly video on the Masai website was extremely helpful, but
don't let the under 10 minute construction fool you into thinking
it's a piece of cake.
The elliptical does provide a great workout and the many different
programs allow you to really vary your workouts and levels of
resistance. This is an option that is missing in many of the
cheaper, lower end ellipticals. Operating the computer is also
confusing at first, and the manual that was sent to me was for
their bike, which did not help my confusion. I was able to get the
correct manual off their website.
I was impressed with the quiet operation. I can workout and watch
TV at a normal volume. There are a few creaks here and there,
likely caused by a missing washer or two. The stride is smooth. At
5'4, the machine actually fits me better than the ones at the
gym.
Unfortunately, after a month the resistance belt on the inside
randomly fell off during use. I ripped open the base to try to fix
it, but there was no way to get it to go back on with the proper
resistance. While I'm sure the warranty would have covered such a
problem, I ended up opting to return it.

(More customer reviews)I've had my C44
about 2 weeks now, and while I'm happy with it, I think I wish I'd
waited until I could afford a better model.I've just started a
weight loss journey, and I thought a treadmill would be a good
investment given Alaskan winters.
Things I like about my C44:
It folds, thus taking up a small footprint of floor space when not
in use.Rough estimate without measuring, you'll need a spot about
3' by 3' to store it when you aren't using it.The lock that holds
it closed is sort of hard to release, which I think is a huge plus,
as I babysit a toddler.
Quick-stop key (probably standard on all treadmills)....it clips to
your belt or waistband, and then inserts the other end into the
treadmill. The treadmill won't turn on without it, making it handy
to take with me when I leave the house, so I have no worries about
my children playing on it.
It seems sturdy.I'm not lightweight, in fact, when I bought it, i
was just a few pounds under the 250lb weight limit, and it doesn't
strain under my weight when I use it.I have personally used it to
speeds of 3.5mph.My husband, about 200lbs, and athletic, runs at
speeds up to 7mph and it, and it doesn't strain then, either.
Incline:it has MANUAL inclines of 3%, 6% and 9%.
What I don't like:
I use a Polar F6 heart rate monitor while I walk.I start walking on
the treadmill (which starts the clock on the C44), and then I start
my F6 monitoring. When my workout is over, my F6 ALWAYS has more
time logged than the treadmill does.I've tested my F6 against
stopwatches, and it appears to be dead on, so apparently the timer
on the treadmill doesn't keep good time, which frustrates me, and
makes me wonder if it's tracking the mileage correctly.
The thumb sensor for heart rate monitoring:it's horrible, no two
ways about it.It jumps all over the place, within a span of about 2
seconds, it will measure my heart rate at 83, 144, and 199.From
what I understand, all sensor type heart rate monitors are fairly
poor, but I've also read that they can at least give you a close
estimation of your heart rate. This sensor aboslutely CANNOT do
that.If you buy a C44, definitely invest in a chest-strap heart
rate monitor for accurate monitoring, don't rely on the treadmill's
sensor.
The incline:Being totally new to exercise (ie, I've never purposely
exercised in my life!), I thought it was great that the C44 had 3
levels of incline, and that would be perfect for a beginner like
myself.Well, walking on a treadmill is not the most exciting thing
I've ever done, and I've found some awesome treadmill workouts
online, to vary things up a bit, but unfortunately, they all
require incline use, and the C44's incline feature leaves much to
be desire in that aspect. In order to adjust the C44's incline, you
must turn off the treadmill, fold it up, and then manually adjust
the leg height. Most treadmill workouts do sequencessuch as 2
minutes at 0%, 1 minute at 3%, 4 minutes at 0%, 2 minutes at 3%,
etc.By the time you get off, adjust the incline, and get back on,
you've lost your heart rate and just about the time you get it back
to the targe4t zone, you've got to hop off and adjust again.
So, my advice on the C44.....if you can possibly afford a better
treadmill, then save your money a little longer and get something
better. If this is absolutely the best treadmill you can afford, get
it.it DOES work well, and is certainly better than nothing.Even
though it has it's flaws, the C44 HAS given me the motivation to
get off my rump and get moving.

(More customer reviews)The first thing one
notices about this knife as it slips out of the sheath is the
integrity of the blade. Sharpened at the factory to a razor edge,
it holds this edge a long time before the first sharpening has to
occur. This has been what has always impressed me most about
Swedish steel, its edge holding ability. I have several Mora knives
I use for wood carving and there really is no equal to these
knives.
Whether you're cutting rope, chopping up vegetables, or any other
task around camp, this knife is a tremendous tool. I've used mine
for fleshing off the fat on a deerskin; shaving sticks for
kindling; cutting through hard plastic items, etc etc. This might
be the only tool you really need when you're out there in the woods
by yourself.
The contoured grip handle fits the hand well, the drop point design
is functional and pleasing to the eye.
Most highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)First off, I would
give the holster alone 5 stars. The only reason I gave this 4 stars
was because the mag pouch really doesn't hold the Ruger 22 clips
all that well. Both holster and pouch are extremely high quality
construction. The holster holds my Mark II Government 6 7/8" Bull
Barrel superbly, firmly locking it in place. Pulling the Mark II
out of the holster (over the pinch style locking mechanism) was a
little stiff at first, but has worked to a perfect lock. Highest
marks on the holster. The pouch is constructed well too, but it
doesn't seem to accept the mags very well. I'd use it for walking
and hiking, but if you're getting in and out of vehicles or riding
an off road vehicle, I think you'd prefer pockets or a covered mag
holder.

(More customer reviews)For one thing I
fail to see how someone could rate one of any upright if they've
only had it for a week-unless there was a drastic complaint. The
real question and the one that the buyer needs to know is :How will
this bike hold up after a couple of months of near everyday use.
And I've found that these lower priced ones just don't cut the
mustard, before you now it the resistance is gone due to belt
stretching and heat(metal fatigue). Before you know it you're just
"spinning and not reaping"that is any real benefits.True, you can on
your own, take the covers off and tighten the rubber belt according
to the manual,BUT,once the belt is stretched, you're already into
the "law of diminishing return".In other word you'll be
retightening often so after the first "fix",for your own good leave
the covers off.
So for the money, would you be better off joining a health club and
wearing out their machines which they have a service contract on
anyway. With the price of gas and the poor selection of TV programs
at the local gym this is definitely a consideration.(Not to mention
some of the "critters" at the club(myself being most guilty), but
there is always someone at least a person can have somebasic
communication with). Should you buy a service contract?(More bucks
maybe better to invest in a comercial grade from the start)? These
new type macines are whisper quiet so you can actually watch your
favorite movie or tv show without continually asking,What did they
say"?.By the way the heart rate monitors are rarely if ever correct
on the lower end machines, the monitor will show you as either in
deep REMor so high you're about to have a heart attack. However if
you're pinched for cash it would be great until you can save up for
a better recumbent bike or a person would do fine with only 2 or 3
days per week use.But when that belt starts slipping(notice I
didn't say "if"!),I hope you don't spill your sports drink all over
your outfit.By the way you buy it and once it's out the door it's
yours so don't expect any customer relations type follow up,not for
119.00 and maybe not for an upright considerably more.
I'm speaking from experience, and I also know of another heavy user
type person who is on their third Weslo in 2 years due a cash flow
problem. In short a quick fix in placating an "excercise demon"but
eventually you'll wish you had the cash for a better machine! But
for an occasional user this machine would do just fine. Also watch
out for the price on this machine it goes from 179.00 to 119.00 and
I've seen it far lower on floor demo models. It's also been
restamped and relabeled for marketing but the same basic machine
hasn't changed(except in price) for 2 years at least and possibly
longer.

About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions,
exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise.
They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any
time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of
home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no
balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for
all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While
the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness
equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to
watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many
people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is
critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

READ!-- DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY!**
In July '10, I purchased an EPIC View 550 Treadmill. Within 3 weeks
the product demonstrated slipping and gripping problems with the
tread. Followed instructions to fix found in manual- no success.I
called EPIC and was holding for over an hour!!It took an additional
two weeks, 3 repair visits, 2 new parts (one was
back-ordered...hhmmm?) and what felt like hundreds of individual
calls to EPIC's customer service department before I THOUGHT it was
operational again.Within 20 minutes of my workout, the same problem
of gripping and slipping began. VERY VERY UNSAFE when running at a
good pace I might add.I called EPIC again, put in the service
request and asked to have a supervisor call me. I'm thinking I have
a lemon and I need reassurances.I was told the supervisor would
call me the same day, as well as the repair company.IT TOOK A WEEK
TO HEAR FROM A SUPERVISOR AND 4-5 DAYS TO HEAR FROM THE REPAIR
COMPANY. The supervisor refused to give full name for my records,
citing security reasons.
BUYER BEWARE "CUSTOMER CARE" IS OF ZERO CONCERN TO EPIC AND ICON

(More customer reviews)I bought this
holster for my Taurus PT-140 with the idea that it would serve as a
concealment holster - as advertised. You can do MUCH better.
Positives: low cost; decent fit for my pistol.
Negatives: this is a low-end holster, and you can tell.I can't see
anyone being able to use it as a genuine concealment holster as
it's bulkier than you'd think.This is an inside-the-pants holster
which I wasn't looking for, but the photo and product description
didn't make that clear. The interior of the holster is rough and
started to put wear marks on my gun after fewer than five
holsterings.
My search for a decent concealment holster continues.

(More customer reviews)I did a fair amount
of looking before I bought this model and I am very happy with it.I
became interested in Bowflex treadmills after Consumer Reports
rated the Bowflex 7 series as one if its best folding
models.Shopping on Amazon, I realized that Bowflex made 3 folding
treadmills--the 3, the 5, and the 7 series.Online, these look very
similar, with the 5 and 7 series having longer tracks and a bigger
motors.Strangely, the best source of information on these was not
the Bowflex website itself (it has *no* information on the 3 ,5 and
7 series treadmills--just those crazy tread climbers), but rather
the specs from Amazon.
Consumer Reports indicated that the best way to buy a treadmill was
to actually see how the machine felt. I agree. I managed to find a
store that had a 7 series in stock.I was impressed. The 7 series was
rock stable and has a very nice folding mechanism--it locks in the
up position and drops down slowly when released (a great feature if
you worry about your kids getting crushed by the track
accidentally).Unfortunately, I could not find a dealer that carried
the 3 series to try in person, but it seemed like it would be
optimal and very cost effective.
I also tried several Nordic Track treadmills in person. These
seemed to have very unappealing walking decks (sproingy!, in a bad
way) and even on high hp power machines, the motor seemed to power
the track very unevenly.
I decided to take a chance that the 3 series would be as sturdy as
the 7 series I tried---I am very happy.Amazon shipped the thing
super-saver in a relatively short period of time--very appealing!
It was very straightforward to assemble once I got the thing in
place--parts are labeled and the assembly pictures are really self
explanatory. It is also a quiet machine and the deck is *very*
sturdy even for a big guy like me (200+ lbs). One quibble--the grip
heartrate monitor could work better--sometimes it does not give a
reading after even 10 sec of holding. Also, be aware the deck will
not lock in the up position unless you reset the incline to 0
degrees. The incline automatically resets to 0 every time the
machine is powered on.
I use the machine primarily for walking, for this application it is
great, the machine handles inclines and relatively fast walking
speeds with no problem. I can't comment on how well this machine
compares with others for running fast. For jogging it seems just
fine.
A note on delivery and installation. This thing is *very* heavy
(~275 lbs). The shipping company chosen by Amazon (Eagle) did a
great job.I called them prior to delivery to schedule when they
would drop it off--thats the good news.
The bad news, they would only bring it to the threshold (just
inside the house).I asked if they would bring it upstairs for an
extra fee and they said--"no way."Three calls to moving companies
and an estimate of ~$250-300 to move it from my entry up a flight
of stairs--this is not a two person job--the shipping box is
enormous (80" x 35" x 16").I solved this problem by recruiting my
father-in-law (also a big guy).We turned the box on its side,
opened it, and moved the main piece (track and motor together) by
itself. Make sure not to cut the restraining strap, this keeps the
frame and the track held in place making moving *much* easier. Even
then, the main piece weighs about 200 lbs and was serious work
getting around corners.Very glad at that point that I bought the
shorter (56") track!
Overall, a great mo-chine--equal to much more expensive models!
Glad I managed to avoid a hernia during installation.

(More customer reviews)I got these for my
boys for Christmas! Watching them go is so much fun! This is one of
their favorite things now. It's easy to put together. Only has
about 45 minutes ride time but my boys don't seem to be bothered by
that at all. KEEP DADS AND UNCLES OFF OF IT THOUGH!!!! The weight
limit is legit. One broke under the weight of my brother-in-law
(about 180 lbs). So we bought another one.

(More customer reviews)I purchased my
Precor 9.21i over 8 years ago and have used it almost daily since
then.It appears this model is an updated version of that machine,
so it should give you some idea of what to expect. There have been
no maintenance problems; once a year, my husband takes the front
cover off and vacuums it out.Conversely, my son-in-law purchased a
True treadmill two years ago and has had to have repeated
repairs.
I looked at all the treadmills out there before purchasing this
one.I found its ergonomics to be superior to others - I'm 5'2" tall
and some of the models had handrails that were very uncomfortable
for my size.
I use my treadmill on the manual setting and like the fact that if
I'm interrupted it doesn't go into a sleep mode and lose my
time/distance.I generally walk at 3.4 mph and a 15% incline -
having reduced my speed from 4 mph and a bit lower incline due to
aging feet. One of the factors that weighed into my decision was the
fact that Precor allows a greater incline than some others.
If you are going to spend the money on a good treadmill, I
definitely recommend the Precor models.

Treadmills allow you to determine the pace,
distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all
while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a
magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips,
treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded
platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable,
low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete
surface.
While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills
exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for
easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed,
distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG
grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless
of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer
an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide
long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to
the gym or a jog in the rain.

(More customer reviews)So you know where
I'm coming from I'll tell you up front I am a male in the baby
boomer generation. In the summer time I enjoy riding my bike around
the neighborhood at least a couple times a week.My bike is in the
genre called a comfort bike, and I'm comfortable with about 10
miles per ride, though my goal is to get back up to the 16 or more
that I used to do before I took a couple year hiatus.I also bought
my wife a bike for neighborhood rides this year, but she has not
ridden for quite a while and so has a long way to go to get up to
even get to be able to do a 10 miler.
We bought the Pro-Form 450 UR so we could stay on it through the
cold snowy winter months and be ready for next spring. We bought it
from someone who had owned it for a while but never even broke the
seal on the box.Our bike was built in December 2006, and assembled
and used for the first time in November 2008.
As of this writing, we've only had it for a few days, and only put
a few miles on it.I'm sure you know that one of the features of
this bike is that it has games on it.For me the games are a good
diversion even though they are very rudimentary.I played the
"Tetris" style game and the "Destroyer" game years ago, but even
then I was playing them in color, where as this display is an
extremely low resolution monochrome.I don't know how the younger
generation would be attracted to these games when they are used to
what they have now.Maybe they'd stick to the blackjack and Texas
hold-em card games. The obvious point of the games, and as I said
above, it worked for me, is to keep your mind off the exercise
routine.Of course you could always watch TV or a movie. The machine
is very quiet and I found I do not have to increase the TV volume
at all to hear well.
The other features seem to be fairly comprehensive, though I have
not owned another exercise bike, so I have nothing to compare it
to.It uses the SMR (Silent Magnetic Resistance), which I like much
better than cranking some dial to cause friction, and it seems to
work very well with 16 resistance levels.By the time you get to
level 16 you are climbing one heck of a hill, at least for a baby
boomer. It has 10 built in programs which I have not tried, only
looked at. There appears to be a good variety keeping in mind that
I have no comparison. The readouts are large and easily readable
for speed distance, time and heart rate.I'm having to assume they
are fairly accurate, I have no way of checking.
The bike is very solid.Heavy, strong metal is used, and it gives
you a feeling of stability. The seat post and glide are very
substantial. The seat is large and soft, though I have thought of
wearing my padded biker shorts anyway with my bony [...].It's even
quite a good looking machine in case you have it where others might
see it.Speaking of the seat, it can be adjusted a great distance in
height and some in horizontal. My wife is about 5'8" and she has to
set it almost to the bottom setting, so I wonder about a short
person.Maybe by bringing the seat forward they would be okay.On the
other hand, I think a person of 6' 6" or even taller could use it
comfortably with the maximum height.
All in all I would say it is a good investment. However, there is
one major flaw that you should know about before you make a
purchase. If you want to use an exercise program on the machine you
cannot also play a game while you go through it.The instant you
start a program or switch to a game or vice versa you start
fresh.Even if you go from one game to another, or you've been in
manual mode and you decide to play a game, you start all over. All
the time info, miles, calories burned, starts from scratch. So, if
you do want to keep track of any of that information you better not
make any changes once you've started.Or, if you want to switch
around, then just forget the calorie, or distance count and look at
a clock or set a manual timer.
