their famous clients, big speaking eyes that they actually don’t
possess. Have you ever wondered why some of the most celebrated
beauties known for their popping eyes seem to look very different
sans makeup. This is the magic of makeup! White liner used to
line the inner corner of the eyes both upper and lower is makeup
technique to make eyes look bigger and pop, a very easy and
simple technique that makes a lot of difference.
Pale Eye Shadow
Using eye shadows in paler hues such as cream, white or beige is
another easy makeup technique to make eyes look bigger. While
blending together two or three eye shadows gives the eyes more
definition and depth, brushing the lids with only one shade of
pale colored eye shadow will definitely give the impression of
wide awake look and bigger eyes. Other paler hues such as butter
yellow, pistachio green and baby pink will also achieve the goal
of making eyes look bigger.
Highlighters
Highlighting creams are used primarily to accentuate a facial
feature and make it stand out. Highlighting cream applied on the
upper lid, all the way to the brow bone, is a sure way to enhance
the eyes and make it look bigger as long as it is applied
sparingly. Highlighters have a shiny texture and too much of it
might make you look like a clown, but just enough will be perfect
especially in the evening. Highlighters should be the finishing
touch to your makeup. Photo Copyright of PR PHOTOS

Eye makeup is a key component to makeup. It draws attention to the eyes by defining them. Eyeliners provide this definition from time immemorial. It is used to enhance and contour the eyes to make them pop and can make the eyes look smaller or bigger, depending on how it is applied. There is a need for a different kind of makeup for day time and evening wear. At daytime, the makeup should be softer while at night time, makeup can be bolder and more obvious. For this reason, different types of eyeliners in different forms have been developed and manufactured to suit everyone’s needs and preferences.
Kohl Eyeliner
Kohl eyeliner is soft powder usually, black in color or in other
dark matte shades used to outline the eyes. It is more popular in
India and other Middle East countries and has been used as far
back as the Bronze ages. Because of its soft texture, it is
smooth and easy to apply but is more likely to smudge or smear.
Liquid eyeliner
Liquid eyeliners are opaque liquids that come in small bottles
and applied by a felt applicator or minute brush. Liquid
eyeliners create a b righter, sharper and more precise and
visible line. They create a more dramatic and stunning looks for
the eyes but is a little difficult to use by beginners.
Wax – based pencil eyeliners
These are softer pencil eyeliners that contain wax for easy
application. Like the regular pencil liner, they also come in a
variety of colors from the very intense or dark to paler or
lighter shades such as beige or white. It can also come in a
compact with brush applicator or cone. Photo Copyright of PR

One sleepless night could make your skin look dull and lifeless. But this is easily remedied; with a few good night sleep your skin goes back to normal. It is the continuing sleeplessness caused maybe by insomnia or a very active night life that cause damage and harm to the skin. Skin problems linked to sleeplessness range from premature ageing to recurring skin inflammations and skin diseases such as dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema.
Lack of sleep or poor sleeping habits are related also to the
increase in cortisol or the stress hormones and the decrease in
melatonin or the hormone of sleep and serotonin, the chemistry of
well-being. Chronic insomnia or continuous late nights can
disrupt the maximum process of the skin’s collagen fibril
formation. Collagen, is a property of the skin that is
responsible for the skin’s suppleness and youthful look. Reduced
collagen fibril in the skin leads to too much loss of skin
moisture and an increase in the skin’s sensitivity.
Hollywood celebrities look great all the time. It is a big wonder
how they can maintain their healthy and beautiful skin
considering their very hectic and busy schedules. But sleep they
do, and plenty of it. Here is what some of them have to say about
their beauty and sleep:
Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria brings with her a special pillow when she travels so
that she can sleep on the plane. She says that she has to get at
least 8 hours of night sleep otherwise she’ll pay for it after.
Beyonce
According to Beyonce sleep is essential to beauty. She says that
she is a person who finds it hard to put the lid on her brains
but since she is busy and always on the go during the day time,
she is so fatigued when she hits the sack that she can’t not fall
asleep. To her beauty is health, happiness and peace and you
can’t have any of the three without sleep.
Heidi Klum
As a working glamorous mom, Heidi Klum even gets 10 hours sleep
since she has a tendency to sleep while putting her kids to bed.
Christina Aguilera
Christina comments that some people spends oodles of money on
beauty products to look beautiful when all they need to do is
sleep.
Ginnifer Goodwin

Brown eyes are the easiest eye color to highlight and enhance. It is one eye color that is so versatile and can go well with a wide variety of colors and hues of eye makeup. When it comes to eye shadow colors, there is no color that is off-limits for brown eyes. But this can only be done by applying colors in a more subtle way; working with colors to highlight brown eyes and not just to draw attention to the makeup. Brown eyes are very easy to highlight while maintaining their natural beauty with the use of luxuriant coloring and dark lashes. But not all brown eyes are the same. Brown eye color comes in different shades; dark chocolate, golden honey brown or it can come flecked with golden green or black in the irises. Each and every brown shade of eye color requires a different makeup to enhance it. Here are some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood with different shades of brown eyes and the makeup they use to enhance it:
Light brown eyes
Jennifer Lopez has light brown eyes. She usually sports a smoky
eye makeup that is truly fabulous on her. Visibly the best makeup
for light brown eyes is smoky makeup. The use of flattering
complementary warm tones such as gold, chocolate brown, caramel
and honey help improve the warmth of Jennifer’s light brown
eye.
.
Dark brown eyes
Kim Kardashian, on the other hand has lovely dark brown eyes. To
enhance the beauty of her dark brown eyes, Kim goes in the exact
opposite direction as Jennifer. She uses cool-toned eye shadows
such as grey or silver. Shimmery and metallic eye shadows are
also some of the best makeup for dark brown eyes, the texture of
this type of eye shadow light up dark brown eyes.
Very dark, almost black brown eyes

The nude or natural makeup look was all the rage in 2010. Its popularity was carried over to this year, and in fact is considered one of the trendiest makeup look for 2011 and 2012. The bare or natural makeup was popularized by Hollywood celebrities known for their beauty and forward-fashion sense such as Nicole Kidman, Kate Bosworth, Scarlett Johannson, Megan Fox among others. The nude or natural makeup look has one objective, to look fabulous with a barely-there makeup and this can be achieved with only four makeup tools; base makeup consisting of concealer, foundation or powder, mascara and lipstick. The components of a nude or natural makeup look:
Flawless complexion
The most vital component of a nude or natural makeup look is a
flawless complexion and the key to a flawless complexion is base
makeup consisting of foundation, powder and concealer that match
the skin perfectly. For that healthy and glowing look, apply a
concealer first on any skin imperfection and in some areas that
are usually darker than the rest of the facial skin such as the
skin below the eyes or the sides of the nose, and blend it
thoroughly with the skin. Next, apply powder if skin is oily or
on the normal side or foundation if the skin is dry, with a light
hand, for the skin to appear perfect but natural – looking.
Highlight the best facial feature
Everybody pride themselves of their best facial feature. It could
be the eyes, the lips, or the cheekbones. The key to nude or
natural makeup is to highlight only the most prominent or
outstanding facial feature and leave the rest looking natural.
Highlighting all features is having too much makeup and that is
not what nude or natural makeup is all about.
• Eyes
Mascara is the secret to drawing attention to the eyes. Curl the
top lashes and apply black or brown mascara to the whole lash,
from base to tip. For eyeshadow, a light neutral colored
eyeshadow such as beige can be lightly brushed and blended
thoroughly on the lids. A very fine eyeliner can also be used to
emphasize the eyes, but make sure that it will look like you have
very little or no makeup at all.
• Lips
Natural toned or nude lipstick or lip liner is used to achieve
the nude or natural makeup look. Better yet, leave the lips alone
and only apply a moisturizing lip balm for the luscious lips.
• Cheekbones
The apples of the cheeks can be brushed lightly with a bit of
blush blended perfectly with the base makeup to make it look very
natural.
Concealer is one of the most important ingredients in applying makeup. Some beauty specialists even use concealer only and skip foundation all together. In spite of this, a lot of women are wary of concealers, maybe because they don’t know how to apply it or get a shade that is right for them.
The key to the use of concealer is to get the shade that suits a skin tone and blend it in thoroughly so that it is not observable but provides that unblemished and flawless look to the complexion. If your skin darkens in summer then you need to find a concelaer in darker tones and for the rest of the year, when your skin is lighter, a lighter shade of concealer should be used. They look most natural when it is applied in thin layers and then built up steadily.
Concealer is used to hide skin blemishes as well as the darker skin under your eyes. For the darker circles below the eyes, a peach or pink toned concealer is applied first followed by a yellow color concealer that is a bit lighter than your foundation. Your foundation should be the exact shade or almost the exact shade of the skin tone.
In choosing the right shade of concealer, the factors to consider are color and consistency. Test the color of the concealer on the neck below the ear. It should be a shade lighter than your foundation. For the under eye, a concealer with more coverage is recommended such as a yellow-toned concealer. For dark or olive skin, an orange based concealer works very well. Avoid chalky or greasy concealers and those that are too white or pink.
Dab several dots of concealer under the eyes, and in all areas of the face with patchy skin such as around the mouth and nose and the chin, or any skin imperfection and blend it in with a concealer brush. To set the makeup, dust the entire face with fine loose powder applied with a fluffy brush.
