by MichaelJacksonRULES: sulfate free shampoo dried out my hair?
ever since ive been using that shampoo on the commercial with the
black haired lady saying "i fell in love" my hair has been in
HORRIBLE condition. well other people say its soft but to me it
feels so gross. my hair is middle parted and i use my hand to
stroke it back. and usually it does it with ease and is ALWAYS
super soft. my friends say i have the best hair (plus healthiest).
i dont do anything with my hair, no ironing, no straightening
nothing. iv always had somewhat dry and wavy (its also brown) hair
and usually put in a tiny bit of leave in hair conditioner after i
shower. now when i put it in after i use this shampoo it makes it
worse!! (i no longer use the leave in conditioner because of this
shampoo and conditioner!) i hate the shampoo and conditioner. i can
even feel my hair in the shower its not soft like it should be.
whats wrong with this product? is it me or the shampoo? im going to
get a new type but is it going to stay this way forever? i want my
title to stay where it is because i love my hair:( all comments
welcome. Best answer: Answer by Super RuperI started using sulfate
free shampoos and conditioners after getting a global keratin
treatment...and I've also been reading lots about the sulfate free
brands on various professional hair websites. For me, I needed the
sulfate free conditioner following the shampoo to make it feel
'soft'. I was told that if you mix regular products (like a leave
in conditioner with sulfates) with these brands, you will not have
good results. I thought it was a marketing ploy, but I've noticed
the same as you when I mixed. So the answer (for me) was to use the
L'Oreal sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, and I also use their
straightening serum and leave in conditioner...and my hair feels
great. Also know that all the products you've used for years are
what makes your hair feel so soft or sleek...not your hair. With
the sulfate free products, you are starting to feel your actual
hair - not the product...and it may not be as soft as you are used
to... Add your own answer in the comments! [1]
