What constitutes waste water? Waste water , by definition, is water
that has been affected or contaminated with anthropogenic
influence. Of course, it is but natural that the quality of the
water is compromised because of this contamination. There are
different varieties of waste water, from liquids disposed of by
homes, commercial properties, industries and different companies.
Of course, it follows that for these various kinds of waste water,
there are different manners of
waste water disposal that are suited for each
particular kind.
Frac tanks serve as a common solution for waste water disposal for
waste water from factories, and industrial sources. A frac tank is
defined as being a generic term for a steel tank that is used to
hold liquids and fluids. A frac tank is most often utilized as a
temporary storage for liquids while a well is being constructed,
but for waste water disposal purposes, a frac tank is the tool used
to collect run off water, water contaminated by chemicals, diesel
fuel, glycol, oils, and other waste water products. A frac tank can
store to up to 21,000 gallons of water or liquid making it a sound
means of waste water disposal for industrial companies, using and
getting rid of gallons and gallons of water in a given day.
Many industrial companies use frac tanks for various different
reasons. Perhaps the most popular reason is that the frac tank is
easily mobile. When a frac tank is empty, it can easily be towed by
a truck, or heavy machinery. It can be placed anywhere, and that
accounts for its flexibility. A frac tank can be easily hooked up
and used in conjunction with pumps, filters, dewatering units and
vacuum boxes, should one need it for a large scale project.
A frac tank also has many different valves that give it easy
access, should one need it for different kinds of pumping
operations. A frac tank may also be a ready storage device for
large amounts of water or other liquids. Lastly, a frac tank is the
most used waste water disposal method for large clean up operations
or oil field operations, again because of its capability to store
large amounts. It has proven to be effective, and relatively easy
to transport to different areas.
Waste Water Disposal is not only messy, it can be dangerous when
done incorrectly. Waste water can attribute to infections,
diseases, pollution, and can be a real environmental and
residential hazard. Through
frac tanks, waste water disposal becomes more
manageable. For large companies looking to dispose or store large
amounts of liquids like waste water, the frac tank can prove to be
extremely useful.
