(More customer reviews)I bought this at WalMart about five years ago.The thing is still going strong!I didn't expect much from a $30 trimmer but I really can't complain about this one.

The line will get stuck now and then--I've gotten really good at rethreading as needed.Most of the time I can get through an hour of trimming with only a couple of stops for that reason.I once bought cheap line and restrung the spool myself but really it's worth the $6 to buy the preloaded spool.It tends to have fewer problems than my own line attempts.

The unit is super lightweight and easy to handle.It cuts through everything I throw at it (sometimes throws it back!Wear your safety glasses) and I find the bumping feed easy to use.I can "edge" easily along my drive and sidewalks, too.

I have gotten tired of hauling the cords around now that I have yard that requires a couple hundred feet of them, so I'm in the market for another type of trimmer.I figured gas was the way to go but I was really frustrated when I borrowed a nice $200 4-cycle one from a friend.I had issues starting it, the line became jammed more than on my little Weed Eater, the vibration was extreme, it was heavy, and the messing around that goes along with gas and oil didn't seem worth it.I didn't save time not having the cords there, which was the whole point, and it jammed so badly I just finished with my little electric Weed Eater.I'm looking into a cordless style now... but I won't get rid of the old standby!

(More customer reviews)When I opened the box, aside from having to unfold the handle bars, fill with oil and gas, and adjusting the wheels, I found a completely assembled ready to use mower.I meticulously only had to tighten the mount for the key start.I readily started mowing my lawn for the first time with only having to skim through some instructions.(Of course, skipping the first 5 pages of jibberish mentioning something about warnings, etc.)

No priming needed and started after a couple of turns of the key.Worked pretty good for a small yard.I was concerned I would have issues with the added weight of the front wheel drive, but the feature worked quite well even though I thought previously it seemed like a dinky unneeded feature.If you're older and without kids, I find it's well worth the extra money now for the front wheel drive.(If ya got kids, then have them get a work-out on a mower without front-wheel drive.)

Key start is also a nice feature if you use the mulch bag while mowing.Reason being, frequent starting and stopping of the mower engine is required for emptying the bag after only one or two laps.

So far, I'm glad I just buckled-in and got these extra features.While I was in the store, I was quite concerned whether or not I really needed these extra features includingthe key starter.

I also love the mulch bag because it's extremely light and easy to carry and also extremely easy to attach to the mower!

Two features missing, would be an adjustable throttle (for going slow over over-grown tall wet grass) and a little tiny led light on the battery to show whether it's actively being charged or not.

(If my store would have had the cheaper PO500N22SH mower model I was researching, I would have bought it instead of this one.But it was also without a mulch bag.So, I would have just been cutting and then not having a need for the electric start to empty a mulch bag.I would also probably be really tired right now to from all the manual pushing!!!)

Easy to set up.Just don't put it nearyour door like the last reviewer did. why would you want to draw flies near your door?

I did as the instructions said,filled it halfway with water and put in the powered bait.The bait smelled like rotten bacon. Hung it up in the morning sun and afternoon shade location at the back of our carport.

day 1;caught about 3-4 files
day 2;caught about 15 total flies
day 3;caught maybe about 30-40 flies
day 4-7, it must have caught over a hundred flies.Maybe more.

The package says it will take 2-3 days for it the bait to take "full effect".I could see a huge change in 2-3 days.

It works great.I'd reccomend it.

The only thing is that if you go stick your nose up and smell it that it doesn't smell great. But just don't hang near your entry door and you are fine.

just in case anyone is interested in how it works,the yellow top has a "funnel" that goes down a couple inches.The flies go in, down the funnel and into the main part of the trap.Since the funnel narrows to a very small opening, and flies crawl the sides to get out, they can't get back out of the trap.They get some bait on their wings and fall into the water poison and thats it. low tech, but works great

bait refills are a few bucks and can be found at Walmart or other retailers.

(More customer reviews)I just finished a few loads of laundry after installing all new dryer ducting, a lint trap and Fantech booster fan (the system works VERY well). After every load the lint trap needed to be cleaned. OK, it's doing it's job. However, taking off the door involves pinching the spring retention clip, cleaning the screen then reinstalling the spring clips in very small hard to see holes. The spring clip is awkward and the screen is poorly adhered to the metal housing (after 2 loads it's already coming loose). Also, the Fantech Lint Trap housing is very industrial looking (galvanized sheet metal), and doesn't fully recess in a standard wall frame. I'm not sure Fantech could have put less thought into how this lint trap would actually fit into a laundry room and be used. It needs to be cleaned often, which will likely be the least desirable step in the entire laundry process (including folding and putting clothes away). I am actively looking for an alternate lint trap solution. I am convinced that the lint trap is necessary (the dryer vent isn't catching all the lint), but there must be a better solution out there! (no complaints about the Fan - it's quiet and works perfectly).

I, at 5'7" and 135 lbs, find it relatively easy to push this reel mower around on our small lawn. The handle is a good height for me. This mower is easier to push than other reel mowers I tried to push when they've been on display at the hardware store.

Previously we used a re-chargeable electric mower, which was heavier to push and used up more space in the garage. The main thing I've had to learn to remember now is that the reel mower only cuts on a forward stroke.

The ability to adjust the cutting height is a useful feature. Our mower is set to 2.5" because our grass fares better if it isn't cut too short. Mowing it once per week has been sufficient.

Assembly was straightforward.

Counterflow technology attracts biting insects to the trap and then vacuums them into a net where they dehydrate and die (see larger image). Through proper placement upwind, the biting insects will be drawn to the trap, thereby reducing the chances of you becoming their target. The heavy-duty plastics and marine grade metals make it ideal for any harsh environments.

When my gas mower died a few weeks ago I started looking into electric mowers as a compliment to my battery operated BD, weedeater,blower,hedge clippers. I was hesitant as an electric mower for a 12,000 lot is a big step, giving up on ease of movement and power and selfpropelled feature or so i thought.

Well i ordered off of Amazon and it came within 72 hours, free shipping WOW and the price was terrific compared to local stores and no tax...

Anyway, i put it together and it was ready to use within 10 minutes, really!!!

You do need an electrical cord to operate and i had 100' cord which is perfect for my yard. My yard has not been mowed in several weeks as my gas mower died and i did not want to spend the money for reserection of a 4 year old mower plus gas prices are crazy right now. I did plan my route since i would have a cord i was pulling. Turned it on and it was amazing on how much less noise it was compared to my gas mower. My wife came out and asked when i was going to start but had been mowing for 15 minutes, lol.

I started in the mulching mode at first and not paying attention had it on the lowest setting....it was going fine but when i hit thicker deeper grass it did bogg down. I inserted the discharge shute and even on the lowest setting in taller grass it mowed fine. Once i realized i had it on the lowest setting and moved it up in height comparable to my gas mower the electric mower never bogged down one time even when mulching!!!The cord is not bad at all although i did have to get used to it as i wrapped it around the tree once and just laughed at myself. I thought i would miss the self propelled feature, however, this mower is sooo light its like pushing a vacum cleaner so i was managing the cord with my left, pushing with my right and no problems, mowed like a champ, no uneven cuts. My neighbors came out and were admiring the mower all commented on how nice and sleeked it looked for a mower and how quiet it was.

I would recommend this mower to anyone wanting to go electric as the cord is not that big a deal like i thought i would be when reading the reviews. So far so good B&D has a home run with this mower.

Couple of hints, I know because I goofed up first time myself. 1st, hang them in a hot sunny place, shade is useless and you will get the results the other reviewer got. 2'nd, DO NOT HANG THME CLOSE TO THE HOUSE (like I did once). Do you want to attract flies to your doors and windows? No, hang them 25-30 yards away or as far away as you can, intice the flies away from the house, barn, whatever. My 3 traps are full now on Oct 12th. Gonna throw them out, order more and await next May.

Lentek MK11G Mosquito Trap Review

I had been researching these, and thinking about buying one, but they can be a little expensive. I saw this one at the dumpster, and figured what the heck, it's free if it doesn't work as described, I'll bring it back. I had to buy a propane tank, hooked it up, lit the pilot light, and left it alone for several weeks, (actually started it on April 9th, and refilled the tank May 27th) and I have not had one mosquito this year!!! I have lived here for six years, and because I am kind of tucked in at the bottom of a hill, there is a lot of shade and therefor a lot of mosquitos. I have never been able to just walk out and enjoy the outdoors, I always had to smother myself and guests with bug spray. But this year, I haven't had a single bite! I didn't like the idea of spraying the yard, because I enjoy the birds and don't want to make them ill, and I hated spraying myself, and then having to wash it all off before going to bed. I can honestly say had I known how well this worked, I would have paid twice the asking price, it has freed me from hiding in the house to avoid mosquitos.

What I like:

- Light weight.Light enough to manuever with one hand while the other hand tends the cord on turns.ALSO, this holds easily going across an incline, rather than up, which is hard on the lower back, or down, which is hazardous.

- Height adjustment is spring-loaded, and counter-balanced just right.Raising and lowering cutting height is quick and easy.It lowers in a snap from preferred lawn cutting height to its lowest setting for grass or leaves on the drive or street, whichquickly turn to near dust for ease of blow-off.

- It mulches great across the lawn; much, much better than the last 2 gas mowers I've owned.That's probably more due to design than power source -- but the mulching is the point.The clippings from one week's growth just disappear.And the St. Augustine grass common here in Florida doesn't mulch as easily as the bluegrass of Kentucky, as memory serves.

- A metal cutting deck, rather than the plastic offerings from a couple of competitors.

I can't speak to how well the bag works; haven't tried it.Bagging is a waste of time, effort, and fertilizer, imho ...

Drawbacks:

- uhhh ... It doesn't make enough noise to wake the neighbors.(Long story ...)

The padding on the handle is not durable.Not at all.But I see some padded bicycle handlebar tape in its future.

(More customer reviews)Do the math on purchasing these drip pans....you have a little over a dollar in each pan...if you purchase similar aluminum pans in the grocery store, you will pay quite a bit more, and they won't be as sturdy as these pans.
After having ripped a number of the cheap pans from the store, I ordered some of these pans at an opportune time..I will definitely use the standard Weber pans for my grilling needs rather than the aluminum pans available in the grocery store.

(More customer reviews)FYI, this item is identical to the Homelite mower sold at many Home Depot locations (I don't work for any of these outfits).The two are identical except for the the colors.I contacted Earthwise to be certain, and they confirmed it, so buy either one.

This product, to my surprise, is as good as the Ryobi Mulchinator I used to own-- and it was the best cordless mower made in the late 1990's by a large margin.Like that one, this one effectively mulches the grass, even if moist, so small that there is no reason to use the bag or side discharge features.The height adjust is easy, the pushing is easy (for an adult), and you don't have to do any real maintenance (just keep it clean underneath).For the average lawn (I have 3000 square feet), this product has enough charge to do the job, is not quite as loud as a gas mower, and is just as powerful as a typical 4-5 hp model.You can charge it for a few bucks per year.It requires no assembly or tuneups, and tipping it in any direction will not cause a problem. Unless you use it commercially or for a very large property, this product is superior to a gasoline model, and way cleaner!Try a cordless electric model, and you will never want anything else!

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these to stick in my kitchen because we had some mouse droppings showing up, and baited it with peanut butter. It catches mice every time I empty it and rebait it!Usually 2 at once.The door mechanism is ingenious!Unfortunately, once you have 2 mice, they like to block the doors to prevent more from entering. I put a little water dish and some nesting material inside so they can sleep in the trap all day until I have time to release them far away after work.

I'm questioning the whole live trap thing, though, because getting rid of living mice is much harder than dead ones.I'd seriously consider a covered snap trap instead as a clean and quick method.I caught 2 mice last night, and now one of them has given birth in the trap...It's below freezing outside - what do I do now?
