is there something else that could feel like kidney stone pain?

my husband went to the hospital yesterday with severe pain in his kidney right side,they did cat-scan and said they saw nothing abnormal but alittle swelling in his lymphnodes.gave him morphine and sent him on his way.its been two days since the hospital and he still is in alot of pain.has been drinking lots of water also.any suggestions?

My husband went to the hospital lastnight with severe back (kidney) directed pain. He has had a kidney stone before so he knows what it feels like. The doctor at the ER said since he did not have blood in his urine he didnt have a kidney stone and said it was a muscle spasm. this doesnt sound right to me?

How much would kidney stone removal surgery cost for someone without insurance?

My dad is visiting from outside the US and therefore does not have insurance. Its been confirmed he has two large kidney stones, the pain is excruciating. I am scared of what it might cost. I am not even working right now, I just graduated and waiting to take my state board exam. Does anybody know where we can get it cheap and good? My dad is suffering.

NEED HELP…what to do next waiting 7 days to pass a stone a kidney stone…there is no pain now but no stone?

this pass Thursday went to the ER pain…they said i had a kidney stone 1 mm, i have been drinking water and waiting for it to pass, last few days i felt pressure( like I was going to start my cycle) with off and on nagging pain, today i have little pain…but No Stone…

Kidney stone – does pain indicate movement?

Day 9 with my 2mm stone, which is apparently now hiding behind my pelvic bone(s).

I’m wondering if the intermittent pain I’m having indicates that it’s moving? Or does it just hurt now and then because it’s a painful thing?

I really want to believe that the pain is caused by its movement……

Also, has anyone tried the "jump and bump" method to get it to pass? Did it work?

And last but not least, does the location of the pain change as it moves? I’m still having pain in the same area of my back, but yesterday my butt started hurting a little too. I’m hoping that’s a sign that it’s on the move.

I do plan to ask my doctor these questions as well – I just didn’t think of them the last time I saw him and my appt. isn’t until Thursday.
