Understanding Planetary Rulers, Sun and Moon in Your Zodiac Sign

The Planets in the Horoscopesalt

Accordingly, the natal horoscope, which is used in astrology to depict a stylized visual map of the universe or heavens at the time of birth in order to interpret the inherent meaning underlying the alignment of the planets at that moment, is specifically focused on the individual at its centre, with the Sun, Moon, and celestial bodies considered to be that individual’s personal planets or stars, which are uniquely relevant to that individual alone.

The idea is that the planets’ placement at any given moment in time reflects the nature of that moment and especially anything that is born then, and this can be analyzed by making use of the astrology and a variety of rules for interpreting the ‘language’ or symbols therein.

And according to Pythagoras in his theory known as the Harmony of the Spheres, he proposed that “the Sun, Moon and planets all emit their own unique hum based on their orbital revolution, and that the quality of life on Earth reflects the tenor of celestial sounds which are physically imperceptible to the human ear.”

Western astrology is founded on the movements and relative positions of the planets, sun and moon in the zodiac at the time of birth and their movements or transits through the sky in the past, present and future are considered to be the major influences on the zodiac signs.

Understanding the Planets

In astrology, the seven classical planets are those easily seen with the naked eye and these include the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Each of these planets is a ruling planet for a specific zodiac sign.

Planets and their Zodiac Signs

  • Sun is the planetary ruler of Leo. It represent the conscious ego, the self and its expression, personal power, pride and authority, leadership qualities and the principles of creativity, spontaneity, health and vitality.
  • The Moon is the ruling planet of Cancer. It is associated with a person’s emotional make-up, unconscious habits, rhythms, memories, moods and their ability to react and adapt to those around them as well as the mother, maternal instincts or the urge to nurture.
  • Mercury is the ruling planet of Gemini and Virgo. It represents the principles of communication, mentality, thinking patterns, rationality and reasoning and adaptability and variability.
  • Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus and Libra. It is associated with the principles of harmony, beauty, balance, feelings and affections.
Mars is the ruling planet of Aries. It is associated with confidence and self assertion, aggression, sexuality, energy, strength, ambition and impulsiveness.
  • Jupiter is the ruling planet of Sagittarius. It is associated with the principles of growth, expansion, prosperity, and good fortune.
Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn. It is associated with the principles of limitation, restrictions, boundaries, ambition, career, authority and hierarchy.
  • Uranus (Saturn) is the ruling planet of Aquarius. It is associated with the principles of genius, individuality, new and unconventional ideas, discoveries, electricity and inventions.
  • Neptune (Jupiter) is the ruling planet of Pisces. It is associated with idealism and compassion, but also with illusion, confusion, and deception.
  • Pluto (Mars) is the ruling planet of Scorpio. It is associated with power and personal mastery, and the need to co-operate and share with another

Take note that there are some planets that rule two signs.

In interpreting a birth chart, the “chart ruler” is the planetary ruler of the sign on the Ascendant, or first house. For example, if Aries is the Ascendant, the chart ruler would be Mars. If Taurus is found on the second house, then Venus is said to rule the second house. If Gemini were on the second house, then Mercury rules the second house.

Tarot Correspondents and Correlations to Astrology

The Marriage of Tarot and Astrologytarotandastrologyassociation

Tarot and Astrology when combined create a unified whole. Astrology’s structure, calculation, analyzing and empirical interpretation is said to counter the balance of Tarot’s fluid, conceptual, and intuitive interpretation.

It is believed that every card in a tarot deck has an astrological correlation. Each of the major Arcana cards corresponds with the stars, moons and planets within the zodiac.

There are also correlations between Minor Arcana of Tarot and Astrology as well.

Though, it is unknown who originally combined Tarot and astrology, correlations between the tarot and astrology have been formed for centuries.

The Tarot and Astrological Symbolism

Of two vastly powerful oracles, the combination of tarot and astrology can provide profound insight to your tarot card astrology readings.

Working with open images and symbols, both Astrology and the tarot reading require the skill of recognizing certain chances and challenges. The great benefit of the Tarot, however, is its creative element, because pictures speak directly to the soul.

Similar to dream images, which have strongly and deeply archetypal images, the Tarot contains nothing less than the collected archetypal dream images of human kind.

A typical tarot deck has 78 Tarot cards, which summarize the dream patterns of all humans.

However, different scholars have assigned different astral signifier to the trumps according to their own experience and perspective.
There is not a single Tarot card which is assigned to the same astrological symbol. Some readers assign several images to each astrological image which illustrates different facets of this symbol.

Tarot Astrological Associations

But, here are the most common astrological associations:

The Major Arcana (greater secrets), or trump cards, consists of 22 cards without suits:

Detailed List of Dream Classifications and Understanding

Brief History of Interpreting Dreamsalt

In ancient Egypt thousands of years ago, ancient Egyptian priests even act as dream interpreters, interpreting messages in dreams in order to cure illnesses, make important state decisions, and even in deciding where to build a temple or when to wage a battle. There are even hieroglyphics evidence that depict dreams and their interpretations.

Considered to be divine predictions of the future as similarly seen by psychics of today, dreams were seen as messages from the gods that could be foretelling of impending disasters or, conversely, of good fortune;

Dreams and their meanings have been held in considerable importance through history by most cultures.

In their attempt to fully understand dreams, dream interpretation has undergone an evolution, from the techniques, meanings and types of dream.

Dream Classifications and Its Meanings

Currently, here are major classifications of dreams and their meanings:

  • Ordinary Dreams. This type of dream is said to often be a reflection of real life experiences but can also include fantasies. Studies on dreams reveal that about three quarters of dream content or emotions are negative.
  • Daydreams. This type of dream is classified as a visionary fantasy experienced whilst in a level of consciousness between sleep and wakefulness, as a result of the brain thinking over important, but not immediately relevant, issues when their circumstances do not pose interesting and engaging problems. Studies show that we have the tendency to daydream an average of 70-120 minutes a day. This type of dream occurs during our waking hours, when we allow our imagination to get us carried away that our minds start to wander, resulting in a drop in our level of awareness as we lose ourselves in our imagined scenario and fantasy.

  • Lucid Dreams. This type of dream is a dream during which the dreamer knows they are dreaming. It occurs when you have conscious perception of one’s state while dreaming. In this state of dreaming, you, the dreamer may often, but not always, still possess some degree of control over your own actions within the dream or even the characters and the environment of the dream. It is a well-known fact that dream control could be improved with practiced deliberate lucid dreaming. With practice, a lucid dreamer could actively participate in their own dreams, making decisions and influencing the dream’s outcome without awakening.
  • Nightmares. This type of dream is unpleasant and disturbing, causing you to feel negative emotions when you wake up, typically like fear and/or horror, despair, anxiety and great sadness. A nightmare may contain situations of danger, discomfort, psychological or physical terror, which is said to be your minds negative response to real life trauma and situations. Nightmare sufferers may usually awaken in a state of distress and may be unable to return to sleep for a prolonged period of time.
  • Prophetic Dreams. Also referred to as precognitive or psychic dreams, this type of dream are dreams of events or incidents before they happen and appears to foretell the future. There is one rational theory that attempts to explain this phenomenon. This theory explains that because your dreaming mind has the ability to piece together bits of information and observation that you may normally overlook or that you do not seriously consider, your unconscious mind therefore knows what is coming before you consciously piece together the same information.
  • Recurring Dreams. This type of dream is experienced repeatedly over a long period with little variation in story or theme. Though some may be positive, most often they are nightmarish in content. These dreams tend to recur because a conflict depicted in the dream remains unresolved or ignored. However, once a resolution to the problem is found, these recurring dreams will cease. It is said that up to 70% of females and 65% of males experience recurrent dreams.

What Does Master Numbers Signify in Numerology?

So people continue to ask if these numbers should be left as they are, double digits, or if they should still be reduced to single digits. But for now, there Masternumbersinnumerologyis no strict rule yet as to how this can be done. Psychics are still not able to give clear and defined rules as to this.

However, here are some notes to consider.

  • It is important to note that when a double digit has no power to unleash master number potential, then it should be reduced to a single digit. It is also important to note that a month does not have master number power. So, if we take November, 11, as an example, we will have to reduce 11 to a single digit.
  • Furthermore, days also do not have master number potential. Thus, numbers 11 and 22 of every month are reduced to 2 and 4 respectively. And this applies to almost all calculations except for instances when we calculate Life Path and Birth Day numbers.
  • Master numbers are always reduced when adding digits that are found in a date to calculate cycles like Personal Year and Month and Day cycles. So as an example, 9/11/2001 should first be reduced to 9/2/3.
  • When trying to find the sum total of digits in almost all calculations that are being based on a name, master numbers are not supposed to be reduced at any given time.
  • Just like dates, some letters have master numbers. The 11th number is letter K while the 22nd number is letter V. These two master numbers are also the numbers that have been reduced to 2 and 4, respectively. Though numerology enthusiasts do not assign master number power to letters, they assign master number power to those additions that total to 11 or 22.

Master Number 11

The master number 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers and it represents instinct. It is the number that is connected to a person’s gut feeling and knowledge with no rationality. Master number 11 has the qualities like shyness, anxiety, stressed energy, charisma and inspiration.

Master Number 22

It is also called the Master Builder. It is a number that has the ability to spin wild dreams into reality. Any person who has the number 22 in his numerology has a greater chance of success. Furthermore, it is a number that is considered as a grandiose thinker that is filled with leadership qualities. People with such master number 22 have to know that their opportunities are almost limitless and that they can do so many things with their skills.

Master number 33

This number is considered the mover and shaker of all master numbers. Thus, its nickname is master teacher. Anyone who has 33 as a number in his numerology can be in a project that goes beyond just practicality.

Master numbers need to be understood and given much attention to fully understand what the numbers have in store for each person.

Simple and Effective Ways in Reading Tarot Cards

Many people trust psychics for their tarot reading. As these cards, once popularly used as a tool for divination, provides answers to questions and enlightenment to issues concerning the different aspects of an individual’s life. When people come to psychics for a tarot card reading, they bring with them that hope that when the session is done, relief and contentment will be felt.

This is precisely the reason why those who perform such readings should come up with an accurate, sound, and truthful reading. Lives are needing help and they may just be the right people to provide that help. For that, here are some tips to having effective readings using the tarot card.

  • Get some break. Even if one thinks that reading tarot is her passion, it is still unhealthy to overdo it. And doing it everyday is overdoing it. Breaks are necessary because it recharges the psychic and ensures her accuracy. Just as anybody else needs a break from work, so do psychics from their activities.
  • Be close to positive people. When doing readings, the psychic has to look within her and use her intuition in order to come up with a sound and accurate reading. With this, she needs to be surrounded by people who only emit positive energy. Negative energy tends to block the intuition of the psychic.
  • Attend conferences. Yes, even tarot card readers have conferences and these are the perfect avenues to enrich one’s skills, learn the latest methods of tarot card reading, and expand networks.

  • Choose your clients. Not all clients are suitable to every psychic’s skills. And those “difficult” clients should be avoided as they tend to suck dry the energy of the psychic.
  • When spreading the deck, take note of the Major Arcana cards. If there are many of these, it means that this certain question is important to the seeker and may involve a life-changing decision.
  • Teach your skills. Teaching a student or someone who wants to know more about tarot card reading is an exercise both physically and mentally. Plus, it also allows the psychic time and effort to read more.
  • Have a tarot sanctuary in the house. The luckier ones can have an entire room just for tarot reading while others will only need a small corner that is devoted to the activity. This is important because it allows the reader some privacy and peace and quiet which can truly help her in making readings.
  • Do not be too sensitive. In fact, psychics should be more dense in a sense that they should not easily get discouraged when people say bad things about them.
  • Enjoy a massage. Yes, massage is very therapeutic for psychics and ordinary people. it relaxes and relieves tension. It should be enjoyed once to twice a month.
  • Keep a journal. A journal would be very helpful as a tool for letting out emotions and stresses from all the readings.

Tarot card reading is indeed helpful as it is important. That is why psychics should always have accurate and honest readings to help their clients.

Psychic Phenomena Beliefs and Existence Over the Last Decade

The Realm of Parapsychology

Psychic phenomena can be more clearly defined under the domain of parapsychology or the contentious science that investigates a number of ostensible paranormal phenomena, including telepathy, precognition, psychics and spirits clairvoyance, psychokinesis, near-death experiences, reincarnation and apparitional experiences.

The term parapsychology was adopted by J.B. Rhine in the 1930s as a replacement for the term psychical research in order to indicate a significant shift toward experimental methodology and academic discipline.

Over these past decades, many studies, experiments and research have been made to prove and disapprove these psychic phenomena.

Background History

  • It was in 1882 that the first systematic effort to organize scientists and scholars for a critical and sustained investigation of paranormal phenomena was formed. This organization was called the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) and was founded in London. The early membership of the SPR had included philosophers, scholars, scientists, educators and politicians, such as Henry Sidgwick, Arthur Balfour, William Crookes, Rufus Osgood Mason and Charles Richet. Telepathy, hypnotism, Reichenbach’s phenomena, apparitions, haunts, and the physical aspects of Spiritualism such as table-tilting and the appearance of matter from unknown sources, otherwise known as materialization were the SPR subjects of study.
  • In 1911, Stanford University became the first academic institution in the United States to study extrasensory perception (ESP) and psychokinesis (PK) in a laboratory setting. The effort was headed by psychologist John Edgar Coover.
  • In 1930, Duke University followed suit and became the second major U.S. academic institution to engage in the critical study of ESP and psychokinesis in the laboratory.
  • The publication of the book, New Frontiers of the Mind in 1937 by Joseph B. Rhine (one of the Dukes’ psychologists who held laboratory ESP experiments using volunteer subjects from the undergraduate student body using proffered a quantitative, statistical approach using cards and dice), had popularized the word “parapsychology”.
  • Recent discoveries in quantum physics (the study of the physics of sub-atomic particles) and in cosmology (the branch of astronomy that deals with the universe taken as a whole) had begun to shed much light on how mind interacts with the universe. These discoveries have shown and compelled acceptance of the idea that there is far more than just one universe and that we constantly interact with many of these “hidden” universes.

Psychic Phenomena over the Last Decade

  • The Gallup Organization conducted a survey of the beliefs of the general United States population about paranormal topics in 2005. According to data, there were 41 percent of those polled that believed in extrasensory perception and 26 percent believed in clairvoyance. Whereas, 31 percent of those surveyed indicated that they believe in telepathy or psychic communication.
  • According to a poll of 439 college students conducted in 2006 by researchers Bryan Farha of Oklahoma City University and Gary Steward of University of Central Oklahoma, the poll suggested that there is a more likelihood for college seniors and graduate students to believe in psychic phenomena than college freshmen. While, 23 percent of college freshmen expressed a belief in paranormal ideas. The percentage was greater among college seniors at 31% and graduate students at 34%.
  • There are also some people who also believe that psychic reading abilities can be activated or enhanced through the study and practice of various disciplines and techniques such as meditation, with a number of books and websites being dedicated to instruction in these methods.
  • There is also another popular belief is that psychic ability of live psychics is hereditary, with a psychic parent passing their abilities on to their children.

10 Methods That Are Use in Dream Analysis and Interpretation

For thousands of years, psychics and other individuals have been fascinated and puzzled by the memories of dream images and of the messages it Top10MethodsinDreamInterpretationwishes to convey.

The idea of dream interpretation, the process of assigning meaning to dreams based on the belief that dreams are a form of communication from beyond the physical experience, is
not new.

Historical records and writings over the centuries have shown of accounts of dreaming, and in every case man has searched for a reason for these phenomena. Even notable names in the world of psychiatry and psychology like Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung had written on methods of interpreting dreams.

With mankind now on the verge of philosophical evolution and spiritual revelation and awareness, the interpretation of dreams which is once the territory of spiritual leaders and psychic only is now finding itself open even to ordinary individuals in its search for the meaning of life experiences and coming to grips with it.

The understanding of the messages received in dreams is now becoming recognized as the link between the physically visible and invisible universes of man.

By learning the meanings of dreams, one can understand your hidden desires and deep-rooted personality issues.

Dream Analysis and Interpretation Methods

So here are the 10 Methods That Are Used in Dream Analysis and Interpretation:

1. Association Game by Sigmund Freud. This involves the creation of a ‘chain association ‘for each object or dream symbol. In this his method, upon hearing the cue word, the dreamer must say the first word that comes into their mind. The answer they gave will be the one that would be used as the next cue word given and so on.

2. Freud believed that thru connecting the dream symbols, you could uncover suppressed feelings. In this retrospective method, by analyzing how the dreamer identified with a particular dream symbol, one could encode the dream symbols and discover their hidden meanings. He believed that most dreams revolved around the past and were often seen as referring to some sort of repressed sexuality.

3. Symbolic Expansion by Carl Jung. Jung liked Freud’s notion of dreams but he believed that Freud’s idea of associations as representations of unfulfilled wishes to be simplistic and naive. Jung, instead, advocated returning each time to the use of the actual dream image itself as the cue word, instead of Freud’s desire to lead the dreamer farther and farther away from the actual dream image.

4. Jung believed that, by using this technique of “mining” each actual dream image to uncover its possible associations might lead the dreamer discovering which associations were actually most important.

5. Role Playing by Frederick Perls (Gestalt). Founder of the Gestalt psychology movement, Frederick Perls, popularized “encounter” groups. He recommended that, during the process of dream analysis, the dreamer is suggested to have imaginary conversations with dream characters/objects. This is done in order to give them a “voice” to communicate their meaning. The dreamer will sit opposite an empty chair, imagining the dream character/object sitting across from them. Then the dreamer would ask questions of the character, and then would switch chairs to answer them trying to express the attitude of the dream character as much as possible.

6. Perls advises the dreamer to see each character, object, and action in the dream as some (possibly alienated) aspect of the dreamer’s own personality.

7. Searching For Archetypes. This is one of the most popular techniques in dream analysis. “Archetypes” or mythic figures Carl Jung believed are present in everyone’s dreams. Classic Jungian archetypes include The Hero, the Wise Old Man, the Shadow (darker side of our own personality), and Anima/Animus (aspects of the opposite sex present in our own personal psychology).

8. Explain it to a Martian by Gayle Delaney. Along with others, Gayle Delaney advises that the dreamer should amplify the dream symbols in a slightly different way when acting as a dream interpreter. Rather than generating free-floating associations, Delaney et al. suggest that the dreamer should describe each image in simple, powerful terms, as if explaining its purpose and outstanding features to a Martian who knows nothing about life on Earth.

9. Metaphors and Puns. Many people in the field of the interpretation of dreams agree that the “language” of dreams is visual and metaphorphic. Often, in the interpretation of dreams, one can make use of the same metaphorical analysis techniques that are applied to works of literature. Some psychics even believe that making use of standard literary devices such as setting, dramatic structure, etc. in their dreams is useful. Looking for verbal or visual “puns” may also be useful.

10. Opposites. In the interpretation of dreams, it might be instructive to try to identify glaring “opposites” in your dreams. Important conflicts, imbalances, or concerns are often highlighted in these oppositional forces. For example: Aggression vs. Passivity, Style vs. Function, and Heaven vs. Earth.
