(More customer reviews)I bought this stuff, brought it home, started using it and discovered a multitude of uses--on salads, in rice or pasta, on steamed vegetables, in salsa, on the rim of a bloody mary, on popcorn, in guacamole. It's great! Then...I ran out and I can't for the life of me remember where I got it! I've gone back to every grocery and speciality store I've ever visited. Nobody carries it. Amazon can't start stocking this stuff soon enough!

(More customer reviews)Love it!I find myself sprinkling this on just about everything these days.Chicken soup, refried beans, steamed veggies, steaks, salmon, salads, garlic bread, pizza, etc.Wow!I rarely use prepared seasonings, but I can't resist this one.It really rocks.If you've ever had Cholula Hot Sauce, then you know how great it is on hashbrowns, grits, eggs, veggies and biscuits 'n gravy.This stuff, however, takes the sauce to a whole new level of flavor.It doesn't just have the mild heat, it adds roasted garlic and mild pepper & paprika flavors, too.Oh, and a little goes a long way.

(More customer reviews)My mom used to make this for me and here I am, 35 years later, still making it. I use organic beef, add some Tabasco to spice it up, and serve this with cornbread. It's delicious!

A couple years ago this flavor became impossible to find in stores. I was heartbroken and managed to buy the last 4 or 5 I found. Chili Macaroni reappeared a year or so later, now with a Old El Paso branding. I got complacent and stopped buying more than one box at a time because I assumed it would always be available. Sadly, it's disappeared again and I can't find it at local grocery stores but Amazon has saved the day! I now have 12 boxes tucked safely away in my cupboard.

(More customer reviews)Though not large enough for a meal, these make a decent snack. They're definitely not as tasty as fresh Mexican food, but they're a clear step up from Ramen. It's great that they don't need to be refrigerated - I leave them in a stack next to my microwave.

The rice grains are dry and caked/congealed together. The refried beans are acceptable, but also a little dry. The beef comes with a mild sauce that has a slightly odd, almost metallic taste to it - like too much preservatives, perhaps. As someone else here mentioned, there isn't much beef, but that shouldn't come as a surprise.

Also, three times after eating these meals, I developed a slight headache. That might just be coincidence, but I don't get headaches often.

Splenda keeps this product from having a sugar free taste. I also bought a pump from Amazon so I can be consistent with the amount. What is great about this product is that it also makes a great hot white chocolate milk for my granddaughter. I prefer it to hot chocolate!

(More customer reviews)I bought this one pound bag of Japones Chile thinking that it was a great value. I usually mix this chilie and Pequin to get a well balance red hot salsa. Lately, I haven't been able to buy Pequin in my area so I tried just making a salsa with the Japones. The seller does everything possible to make sure that the best quality looking product is sent out I'm sure but these peppers were not hot at all. I know that Japones and Chili Arbol have about the same heat and flavor but my sister brought over a little salsa that she made using Chili Arbol that she had bought for a pound [for the same price as I bought these] and it was so good and very hot. Just goes to show that you can sometimes get better deals locally.
If it was all that I had I might still buy these peppers, the quality seems very good, it's just some batches of peppers aren't hot and this was one of those batches. That's why I told my sister she got the best deal.

The flavors are wonderful.Last time I got kung pao chicken from a place near me it was mostly zucchini and carrots.This kit delivers superior flavor.I stir fry my chicken in chili oil then follow the directions, perfect everytime.I use chicken thighs instead of breasts to be more authentic.I buy this all the time now.The Cashew one is good too but slightly more complicated.

The peppers are well roasted, seeded and skinned, with a few garlic cloves in olive oil.Looks like whole peppers since the one I pulled out of the jar was whole, it looks like the others in the jar are whole, also. This is Made In PERU.If you want to add a nice flavor and surprise, add a little of this to your tuna, salmon, potato or macaroni salads.It added another dimension to my pasta sauce along with 'Polar anchovies' and 'Chicken of the Sea chopped clams', it didn't taste fishy at all, just gave it an upscale nuance.A bit pricey but I can get about 3 uses from this size jar.Will purchase again.

Used almost the whole jar! Still no flavor. Thought something was wrong and bought a jar a few months later, someplace else. Same result. Won't buy again, have tried another brand (A Taste of Thai brand Curry Paste, available in 4 different flavors), will stick with that. Liked that this came in a nice sized jar, versus a packet, but without flavor, what's the point? Hope this is helpful...
