(More customer reviews)I purchased the itouchless 2 compartment recycle center trashcan about 6 months ago. Yesterday the hindge on the lid snapped and a piece of it went flying off. My husband and I heard it snap all the way from another room so we weren't even using it at the time. Since the hindge just snapped while it was not being opened or closed and the trashcan has only received the normal house hold useage I would say that it is a design flaw. I will post further on my experience with tying to have it replaced under warranty.
As far as the touchless control goes the control easily becomes confused and has to be reset by having to press the controls on the front of the trashcan. This happens several times a day so it does kind of defeat the whole not having to touch a dirty trash can sales pitch.

(More customer reviews)We have had 2 of these tanks and they seem to be OK at first.They don't look bad and it's small so it doesn't take up much space on top of a book shelf or a dresser.But we have and 2 of them.I never put the trees in because I was afraid the fish would hurt themselves on them seeing as the space is limited as it is.The first tank we used the "water release cap" every time we changed water unless I was going to clean the whole tank.One day I cleaned the tank and the next morning the water was almost completely drained, poor fish!And the DVD's, VHS videos, and the CD's I had in the shelf that the tank sat on were all wet!I was extremely unhappy so I took it back to the store and got my money back.I went back to the pet section of the store and talked to the department manager who said they have never had a problem with them and sell several.So she convinced me to get another one.I brought it home and set it up but this time I haven't used the water release cap in the bottom of the tank, I only poured the water out of the top of the tank to change it.Well, I will say that this tank lasted a little longer than the first one but again, this morning I woke up and found the poor fish almost dead in about a quarter of an inch of water and again, my shelf of CD's, DVD's, and video tapes all wet again!I have called the company this time but of course, they were busy "helping other customers" and I had to leave a message for them to get back to me.They have yet to return my call.

So, the bottom line with the product, if you value your pets and your furniture and don't want to put your fish bowl in a bowl to catch the draining water, is don't waste your time and money on this fish tank.It will cost you more in the end to replace the damage that it does than buying a decent tank to begin with will.

(More customer reviews)First of all, this is simply a Doggie Dooley model 3000.I thought it was something better because the description states that it had an insulated lid.Well it doesn't.Just a simple plastic lid.You can find this exact model much cheaper on other sites.Kind of got the run around on delivery as I was told that it was out of stock but it was still listed on Amazon as in stock and the price was cheaper than what I had to pay for it.PPE did not respond to e-mails until I finally found a phone # to call and complain that the one I finally received was a model 2000.I also complained that I had not received a response to my e-mails which is the only info given when you get your order to contact customer service.No phone # for customer service was listed on the insert with the product.You have to go to PPE web site to acutally get the phone #.Once you go to there site, you will find this product much cheaper than buying through Amazon.PPE did send out the right product right away with a return label for the wrong one I received first so I was not out the shipping.I just finally put the thing in the ground this morning so I don't know how its goint to work out yet.I have tried the pyramid style in the past and this seems like it might be a better idea.Time will tell.

Bayer 704100B Bermudagrass Control 32-Ounce Ready-to-Spray Review

(More customer reviews)Have used a lot of this product to kill bermudagrass that was rampant throughout my yard (3/4 acre) and all the neighbors.This chemical did not kill bermuda, only slightly controlled it - very disappointing after spending more than $200 over one summer for multiple treatments.Per web research from Bayer, it requires monthly spraying for 2-3 years to finally acheive "control" (it only attacks the visible stolons, not the underground rhizomes) - it does not claim to kill the Burmuda.This was very expensive and the bermuda would return in other areas and was just as bad next year.For those interested, this is the same as if sprayed with Round-up (even Round-Up won't kill this stuff!).

Found Ornamec "Over-The Top" from PBI/Gordon, and sold in a large size at [...] (the gallon size is cheapest if you have friends with the same problem).Given its performance, it is hands down the cheapest in the end and one gallon will do ~20 lawns my size.Ornamec will kill the entire Bermudagrass plant.It kills the visible stolon and also transports through the rhizome, killing it as it tranports to new to new growth areas.One treatment in spring, one in fall, and then only spot treatments as needed.Only 1 oz per gallon is needed, so my entire neighborhood chipped in for a gallon.This worked great, as once my neighbors treated the Bermudagrass was gone and not sneaking in from other lawns.(Note instructions to add surfactant - Dawn dish detergent works well - to help improve wetability.)

Check the active ingredient in Ornamec (fluazifop-p-butyl) and in the Bayer spray (fenoxaprop-p-ethyl) and research them on-line - the Ornamec is the way to go.Just check the label as it will kill rye grass (does not touch Fescue, bluegrass, or other northern grasses) and many southern grasses.Ornamec can also be sprayed in flower beds with wild abandon without hurting other plants - hence the "over the top" moniker.I did a lot of research before finding this stuff to ensure I got something that worked.I am a degreed Chemical Engineer and Environental Engineer and checked on the active ingredient, how it worked, and what I was getting for the money.The active ingredient in Ornamec wins hands down and is the ONLY chemcial that actually will say it KILLS Bermudagrass. (Note - Ornamec works even better if Triclopyr - an herbicide aimed at clover, oxalis, chickweed, and purslane and availalbe at Home Depot as Ortho's Clover and Oxalis Killer - is added
to the mix.More research on this can be found on the web)

Note that if your only problem is crab grass, use a simple MSMA based treatment available from most lawn and garden stores.MSMA concentrate is way cheaper than the Bayer spray or Ornamec and it works extremely well on crab grass and such (does not touch Bermuda). But for Burmudagrass, Ornamec is the only way to go.

(More customer reviews)I have two cats, one 5yo and one 2yo, both female.I got the Cat Genie for them, after dealing with several other auto-scooping litter boxes that broke after maybe 6 months each.

In terms of cleanliness and maintenance, this is a great product.If you can put it in your laundry room, you'll be much happier than if you put it into a bathroom that sees any kind of frequent use.If you DO put it into a bathroom, make sure you flush the toilet at least once a day (but NOT while the cat genie is in a cleaning cycle!)

Some words of warning:
1) the little plastic pellets that act as "litter" get all over the floor. You'll have to sweep them up occasionally and dump them back into the bowl for cleaning.This isn't from the cats kicking them up, it's from the normal cleaning cycle ... there's a mechanism to shake the rake free of pellets, which causes some to scatter.

2) Be prepared for a long adjustment period with your cats. The 2yo took to it pretty well, but the older cat had a hard time. She used a laundry basket, a bathroom rug, and my bed before she finally came to grips with it and started using the genie. (Laundry hint: white vinegar in the washer gets out the smell of cat urine!)

Now that the cats have adjusted and I've gotten used to the new sounds and smells of cleaning (the cleaning solution has a potent but not terrible smell), I'm happy with this product.
