If you have been to a movie recently, chances are that you're
already a fan of 3D technology. In fact, there are 3D movies being
released regularly now, with Avatar being the most notable and
setting the bar very high. If you have had the opportunity of
seeing a 3D movie, you were probably astonished by the dynamic and
engrossing viewing pleasure of 3D images and the feeling that you
are almost immersed in each scene. If you are like me, I prefer
watching movies and sporting events in the comfort of my own home
without some punk kicking the back of my seat and interjecting
inane comments throughout. That's why the concept of 3D home
television is appealing. What makes 3D television special is its
ability to convert any, by that I mean, any television program from
2D image to 3D illusion, all in the comfort of your own home. Like
any new innovation, the new 3D TV's will likely come down in price
in the coming months but I'll admit I was surprised at the
affordability of many new 3D televisions with price points only
marginally higher than a regular HD TV with similar specs.
