They fit very well into my ear. I am able to achieve the necessary seal to get a good bass response. I think that the sound is good in all registersespecially bass. The bass is not boomy, but there is some resonance and I find it enjoyable while listening to jazz. I have not tried them on rock or classical music.I agree with other reviewers that there are other earphones that are better. The Sennheiser CX300 are very good earphones for the money. If you wants a really significantly better earphone like a midlevel Shure, Ultimate Ear, Klipsch, Denon and others, you will need to spend more than 100.00. I think it is easily worth spending the extra money for great sounding music, but for a budget minded buyer, these are good earphones. As a caveat, these are not for listening while exercising vigorously. I would have some concern that they would stay in your ears.
