This unrehearsed duel came after a day of
football and hurling and but playing the bodhrán always
seems to give the lads an energy boost. They have a
great bodhrán teacher -- Helen McLoughlin who as well
as giving lessons also runs "The Bodhrán Experience" a
show which teaches you how to play the bodhrán as well
as giving some information about the history of the
drum -- mighty craic!

My first bodhran recording
|
This is just a recording of my playing my bodhran
to a song by Solas. Its my first attempt ever at
recording myself, I was using some new software I had
just downloaded and a low quality mic. I was kind of
nervous so the playing is not the greatest. Also I have
been playing bodhran only for about 6 months now. And
yeah, my cell phone went off in the middle of it lol,
sorry for that. The picture is of me, but the bodhran
in the picture is not the one being played, that is my
old one I learned on. I have moved up to a bodhran made
by Christian Hedwitschak of Bavaria. Im playing on a
16" Light Line Deep. Enjoy and please leave
constructive feedback!
