(More customer reviews)I will try to save you the misery. I had new oak flooring installed less than a year ago. I wanted to keep them looking new so I bought Orange Glo hardwood floor cleaner and polish. The first few times it looked great, the it all went bad. I started to notice that my floors looked hazey and streaked, every footprint and drop of whatever showed in a white residue. Two weeks ago one of my dogs had an accident that didn't get noticed right away, until this huge white spot appeared. I panicked to say the least. I got out my orange glow and mop and started scrubbing. This grayish, green stuff was all over my mop. I panicked some more. Got on the computor and typed in orange glo, went to a website called epinions and was horrified to start reading 73 reviews talking about how terrible this stuff is. Everyone said the same thing, white splotches, sticky residue, streaks, and the more you try to fix it with orange glo the worse it got. Several people suggested Windex to remove the orange glo. So yesterday I spent 9 hours, yes I said 9 hours on my hands and knees with a gallon of windex and a bucket of hot water and lots of micro fiber clothes. You need to spray a small section at a time and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then start scrubbing with a wet micro cloth. You may need to repeat this several times depending on the amount of build up. You will see a grayish, green gunk come up on the rag and in the cracks of the floor. Use a toothbrush to get it out of the cracks. Once you have removed all of the build up, dry the area with a clean micro fiber cloth. I thought my floor was scratched from my dogs, well low and behold they were just removing the build up of this stuff. My floor looks brand new now, just like when it was installed. I will be doing some seriuos research before anything touches this floor again. Hopefully you read this before you buy it so you will not be stuck in the same situation. Little ones would sit inside to feast, popping up like a jack-in-the-box, while larger ones would lift the lid, reach in with the lid resting on their backs while they grabbed a piece of peanut,then lean back and let the lid drop while they ate, then repeat this many times.

The following winter, I started noticing that some of the squirrels had bald spots, and they looked worse with each passing day. I feared there was some sort of mange going around. Then I realized that none of the smaller squirrels were effected, just the big ones.

And then I realized that the bald spots were precisely where the lip of the lid would be scraping against their backs as they pulled away from the box.I went out and felt the bottom edge of the lid, which was sharp as a razor, and which has been dragging across their backs as they pull themselves out of the box.

The box is coated with an enamel paint, and over the course of last winter, the squirrels' bodies must have rubbed that off, exposing the raw edge. I suppose I could put duct tape or something along the edge to dull it but I don't want to take the chance at this point and frankly, I no longer enjoy watching them at this feeder knowing it has harmed them.

A box feeder is fun to watch, but I recommend you avoid any type which has an overhanging lip on the lid as this one does. I have seen others which have a flat lid, and though it's more easily destroyed, wood would probably be less hazardous than metal.

(More customer reviews)I absolutely love this contraption.My mom has a lower model (300) without the cleaning solution reservoir, and using hers is what prompted me to buy the S600.It makes cleaning so much easier, and the attachments have helped me get into cracks and crevices that had been neglected in the past.My only complaints about the scumbuster are the the length of charge that the internal battery holds and the "storage"box.First, it'll die on you in the middle of cleaning, so you have to put it on the charger for a few hours to recharge it in order to finish.Second, the storage/carry case is the chintsy plastic box that it came in, and it does not stay closed very well.My mom's came with a nice carry container that you can carry around with you and store it in.I like the scumbuster so much that I bought two of them, one to give as a gift.

I think Black and Decker has some honing to do however, to make this product worthy of a 5 star rating.I have had two problems with the scumbuster since I bought it.The first scumbuster I received in the mail--only one of the two speeds worked.I sent it back for a replacement.The next one they sent me had a reservoir that leaked the cleaning product all over me and the floor, hence, there was none to use on the surface I was cleaning.This could also be a potential problem for products that stain clothes/carpet or are not supposed to come in contact with skin.Anyways, I called Black and Decker themselves, and they were very nice, and immediately sent a replacement reservoir, which I received in 2 or 3 days.No problems since.This is such a good product people, that I still recommend it even though I've seen a couple bumps in the road.You can use the scumbuster anywhere, inside, outside, in the car, anywhere.I've used in on the carpet, and even on the siding on my house(a whole other story).The scumbuster S600 can be used with or without cleaning products, and with lower models all you do is spray the product on the surface like you would in any other cleaning task.IT can be submerged in water too, to rinse off the cleaning pad.If you ask me, this is a way better product than the dustbuster could ever hope to be.Buy one (any model) today!

We replaced all eight with Globe 23-Watt BR38 Compact Fluorescent Flood Bulbs and are very pleased with the results. In addition to an 85% reduction in energy consumption, the kitchen doesn't get hot from the bulbs. The incandescent bulbs generated an incredible amount of heat. The fluorescent bulbs do take a couple of seconds to come on and a couple of minutes to reach maximum strength but the wait is well worth it.

(More customer reviews)I am converting a mill to a business.I had a bunch of the incandescent bulbs in recessed lighting.I wanted to shift the color in the room to natural light and reduce energy cost.These are the answer.

I tried other lousy vendors from "Amazon Partners" for securing these LED bulbs.These guys are wonderful.

As for the brightness, they are replacing 65w bulbs and I found the LED bulbs brighter than the 65w bulbs.

Color shift - These bulbs are a color shift to daylight.It is not the warm glow you get from an incandescent.I use these to supplement "Sola-tubes" and for night lighting.I have a large space for artists.I need this type of lighting.You may miss the warm glow of an incandescent when you switch to this bulb.If you are an artist, it is a nice substitute or filler for daylight.

Price - They are expensive, but the cheaper ones are not as nice.

(More customer reviews)The front label of the bottle states very clearly that it'll "kill the weeds, not the lawn".I followed the instructions to the letter, and unfortunately, my lawn now has a couple of hundred dead patches every place I sprayed this stuff.It very effectively killed what was previously very healthy green grass wherever I sprayed it.It worked more like a vegetation killer than a lawn weed killer....it's perfect as an edging treatment!This stuff was disastrous.I sent an email to Spectracide explaining the problem and they didn't respond.They claim 100% refund if not satisfied, but even if they come through with a $5 refund, that won't come close to compensating for the mess my lawn is right now.I'm extremely unhappy with this product, and I strongly urge people not to use this product for spot weed treatment in lawns.

A few features I appreciate are the additional capacity of the transformer that lets you add more lights if needed in the future, and the quick-connector system itself.You literally lay the low voltage power wire in a groove and twist a cap.

(More customer reviews)I would stay away from this model.I have other brands (Freeplay and Dynamo that do a much better job).This one works fine with batteries; however, it is the crank / solar feature I have issues with.With my other brands it only takes a couple of minutes of cranking to supply hours of radio power and several minutes of light.This model seems to require hours of cranking for minutes of radio and seconds of light.

The solar panel must be charged for 40 hours to have an adequate power supply.This would require too much work for someone that does not have AA batteries on hand.It does offer a DC (car plug) cord to charge the unit as well, but does not come with an AC (home plug) cord that would be much more helpful.It recommends charging the unit for five hours before use.... like I am going to go for a five hour drive just to charge my radio.

The whole idea of an emergency radio / flashlight is to be there when you need it.The other models mentioned above serve this purpose much better and offer short wave radio bands.I got this refurbished for $15 and I overpaid for it.The only Sharper Image product I have ever bought that I am completely unsatisfied with.

(More customer reviews)At some point, anyone with a server room will experience overheating problems. Whether it's caused by building cooling failure, or by overtaxing the air handling system to your server room, heat will be the source of trouble at some point in your server room operations.

I should clarify what I mean by "server room". I am not referring to data centers, which are specifically designed to house hundreds or even thousands of high heat generating server racks, with raised floors, sub-floor cooling systems, large UPS rooms, and days worth of backup generator power. In this case "server room" refers to a dedicated room in a small or medium sized business, where anywhere from one to about five server racks house the data servers for the business's computer operations. (e.g. Law Offices, Insurance Companies, Security Firms, Software Developers, etc.)

For many small businesses, the idea of a server room is an unplanned necessity, resulting from the realization that the receptionist's computer is no longer a sufficient data server for the entire office. When server rooms are set up in existing office space, as most are, they are usually provided the same amount of cooling as the "people space." The problem is that servers produce much more heat than people in an office.

Enter the Movincool Office Pro 60 Portable Air Conditioner. This unit provides five cooling tons of air conditioning to these undercooled areas. While it's not as easy to set up as the manufacturer claims, it's still a very reasonable option. Movincool makes it sound like you just roll it in, plug it in, and you're ready to go. In reality, it's a little bit more involved than that. Specifically, you need to have a dedicated 50 amp, 230 volt circuit available for this unit. It does not plug into a normal outlet. Depending on the location of your power panel and your relationship with your local electrical contractor, installing the dedicated circuit and outlet can cost as little as a $150, to well over $1000.

Another issue to take into consideration is that this unit, like all refrigeration units, produces condense water that needs to be drained. The Movincool handles this very well. It has a built-in condensate pump that will pump the condense water out of the unit, through the included 25' drain hose. This allows you to drain the water into a drain above the level of the A/C unit itself, such as a kitchen or bathroom sink, or even outside, through a wall.

After power and water drain issues have been addressed, the next important consideration is the venting the unit. Air conditioners pump heat from one source to another, in this case air to air. While you have ice cold air blasting out of the front of the unit, you also have hot air billowing up from the top of the unit. An air duct mounts to the top to carry this hot air out and away, usually into the building air return system above your ceiling tiles. (There is even a ceiling tile adapter for the air duct.) The air that blows out of the top of the unit is pulled in from the side, thereby drawing out conditioned room air and replacing it with air from the surrounding office area. If this isn't a problem in your case, don't worry about it. If you have a sealed room that can't readily replace air being pulled out of it, Movincool makes an adapter that allows you to hook up another air duct from the building supply air (cooling register) to the air intake on the side of the unit. Problem solved.

Lastly, remember to take size into consideration. It's hard to get a perspective of the size of this unit from pictures. It's not like those little home units that are only a little bit bigger than a paper shredder. This unit is 30" wide, by 52" long, by 64" high, more like an entertainment center than an air conditioner. If you need to use the air intake adapter on the side, add about another 24" to the width, just to be safe.

While these four considerations definitely need some planning, it's still a very feasible installation, even on short notice; not to mention much cheaper than a permanent installation. Best of all, if you are in leased office space, you can take your investment with you when you decide to move to a new location. Overall, this unit is a great investment.
