(More customer reviews)I have owned the
Fluval 404 for about 2 years and I have had no problems with
operation.I have had several power failures when I wasn't home and
the pump will continue without the need for priming when the power
comes back on. The ribbed hoses are somewhat hard to clean, but the
water quality is immaculate and I really haven't had to worry about
it.It operates in a main living area and is virtually silent.I
would recommend it, in fact I have and my friend who purchased one
6 months ago loves it.

(More customer reviews)I love this
refrigerator. I have owned it for a year and a half (with no
problems). Below is my opinion based on each feature:
1. French Doors. I love them. THe left door has a flap that sort of
flattens out as you close the door to seal against the right
door.Because of the little flap, the right crisper drawer does not
pull all the way out if the left door is closed. Alternatively, you
CAN keep the right door closed and pull the left crisper drawer all
the way out. Anyhow I usually end up opening both doors when i go
to the fridge, so it will take 2 hands, but i still love the french
door look.
2. Inside water dispenser. Love that too. THe only bad design is
the button to get the water is a few inches above the actual
dispenser. it is difficult for me to get a glass of water with one
hand; i usually hold the glass with one hand and press the button
with the other. But i do like this design much better than the
'outside of the door' water dispenser; i think this fridge has a
cleaner look. I didn't even notice the inside water dispenser at
first, it takes up VERY LITTLE room which is great!
3. Drawer freezer. I like it enough for what I have (bachelorette
food like hot pockets and lean cuisines). I expected it to hold a
bit more than it really does. I do like the fact that it's wire
baskets that hold my food rather than a solid surface; sorta
eliminates cleaning.THe reason i don't TOTALLY love this freezer is
simply because if I had a bowl of liquid, i would have to be VERY
CAREFUL to freeze it (such as an extra water bowl for my dog).
Anything you want to be in the freezer will need to move/slide to
get it in there - i have to only fill the bowl 1/2 full of water or
else it will spill when i close the freezer door.
4. Adjustable "no spill" shelves. These are great. Everything is
adjustable which is perfect for me. I adjust them quite a bit
actually. Also there is a small lip on each shelf so if something
leaks, it won't drip down the back wall of the fridge. I like this
idea. Also the shelves pull out a few inches in case you have
something in the back you need to reach.
Overall this is a great fridge. It also beeps after a few minutes
if you accidently don't close a door all the way. Temperature of
both the fridge and freezer are displayed at the top inside of the
fridge. Very easy/intiutive to adjust. Those small flaws listed
above are very easy for me to live with; i would buy this
refrigerator again. And, i love the stainless steel look!

maker! No more cleaning pots, bitter burnt coffee, coffee filters,
daily cleaning, grinding coffee beans etc... This coffee maker does
it all!The Impressa F8 makes the best coffee I ever tasted. It is
almost too good to be true. All you have to do is select your cup
size and press a button...it is that easy.We have three people in
our house who drink coffee in the morning now everyone gets a fresh
cup of coffee whenever they want.No more drinking the burnt bitter
left over coffee that has been sitting in the pot for who knows how
long.Cleaning is as easy as pressng a button all you need to do is
empty the used bean tray every so often (the machine tells you
when). If you drink coffee every day...this is well worth the cost!I
wish I had one of these sooner!

(More customer reviews)I have owned this
Samsung dishwasher for about a month now.I am shocked to see the
bad rap it is getting on this site. There were some growing pains
with it, that I will describe below, but I went to the Samsung
website and looked at their troubleshooting section and I found my
answers.
Like other reviewers, the single biggest complaint I had was that
the dishes were not coming out dry. They were soaked! The inside
walls of the dishwasher were dripping wet after drying on the "Very
Dry/Sanitize" cycle and being left closed all night. Hmmm. Well,
there is a big note on the top of the door that says for dry
dishes, you need to use a drying agent.I had never used one
before. How could that possibly work?On the Samsung troubleshooting
website it mentions a specific brand to get, "Jet Dry Turbo Dry".I
went to the store and bought it for $6.You add it to the dishwasher
once a month and set how much to use by turning a small dial 1(min)
to 4(max).A bottle looks like it will last about 6 months. With Jet
Dry Turbo Dry everything is bone dry. This is on the Normal Dry
setting and with the dial set to 2. Amazing stuff.I don't
understand how it works so well, but it does.
It turns out if you read the manual and use the recommended
products, it works great.
I use regular Electrosol soap tablets and have not had any problems
with clean dishes or cutlery.I did not need to use any "high
efficiency" soap like mentioned in a previous review.I just stuck
to the regular stuff that Samsung recommends.
It is very quiet, which is amazing to me since it has a garburator
in it for tough food scraps. It does not have a filter that needs
cleaning like many European models. It takes just over 2 hours for
a full clean/dry cycle but that is because it is energy efficient -
one of the lowest energy consumptions in it's class.I can sacrifice
speed to save energy ($$$) since I only do a single load of dishes
a day anyway.
People say the rack is no good? What more would you like? The top
rack's height is adjustable without even taking the rack off the
tracks. There is a button on each side of the top rack so you and
raise and lower it.That is handy, I had a large pizza pan in the
bottom and was able to raise the top rack so it would fit. Even the
little pegs that stick up to hold the plates and dishes on the
racks are adjustable. You can make them vertical or learn to the
right or left. There are about 5 settings for these that you can
click between, moving each row independently of the row beside
it.Set them how you want. The cutlery basket is removable, some
sections of the bottom rack lift right out if they are in the way
or there are too many little pegs. You set it how you like so how
can people complain? I think people just do not know they can
change it to how they like.
The heater at the bottom for drying is covered so you wont have to
worry about plastic items falling on the heater and melting.
There is supposed to be a cycle that you set and the dishwasher
detects how clean the dishes are by how much food is in the
water.Clean dishes use less water and time to wash, dirty ones take
longer and it keeps going until it is clean. This sounds like a
great feature, but I just realized I have never tried it.I may one
day, but right now it cleans great just set to normal clean and
normal dry.
I was initially displease with my purchase, but using the
recommended Jet Dry Turbo Dry with it has changed my opinion on
this dishwasher.I love it!I hope this review helps others with
their decision and even helps those that have given it a bad review
due to poor drying.Read the manual, once I did (after about a week)
it works great.:)

(More customer reviews)1/3/2010:Got this
fridge yesterday from Sears except in White.Looks real nice and so
far is quieter than my older one.Had a water leak in the door of
this fridge on day one but after easily moving the hose coil in the
chiller it stopped. The quick-connect water lines don't like to be
bent so that was the issue there. The unit cooled down fast and I
was able to stock the fridge in an hour after the doors were kept
shut.It was hard not opening them to keep looking inside.:)I'm not
concerned about the energy consumption.I wanted a small french door
fridge with water and ice in the door and this (and the Kenmore
version) were the only models that met the specifications.
1/11/2010 Update:I really love this fridge! It is so bright inside.
The ice maker keeps up with me filling up my 40oz water bottle with
ice every day plus other general use from other people at home.As a
bunch of people say as well though on these style fridges, when
cubes is selected some crushing action still happens but for the
most part whole cubes come out.If you were really fussy about
needing just cubes this may be a downfall however it seems to be a
problem on all french door fridges with ice in the door. You just
have to weigh your options / needs.I use mostly crushed ice when
I'm at home and cubes in my water bottle so a little crushed ice
with my cubes isn't a problem.Compared to my old fridge/freezer
(standard freezer on top model) this fridge/freezer has a lot more
room inside however door storage is less because the icemaker takes
up the door space. Not a big deal though as I'd rather have more
main compartment storage.I'm really happy with the purchase.
1/19/2010 Update:No more complaints here.Love the fridge and all
it's features.Freezer on the bottom is great!Lots of room.

(More customer reviews)We were generally
happy with the Cuisinart DCC-100-- while it lasted. A few months
ago it started working intermittently. It wouldn't always brew the
coffee. Finally it stopped working altogether. The hot plate was
not very warm, and it looked as though the problem might be the
thermostat. So we took the coffeemaker apart. There appear to be
two coils--a high power unit for brewing the coffee, and a lower
power coil for keeping it warm. A thermostat in a round white
ceramic package monitors the temperature. It was open, even at room
temperature, so the high power coil never went on. Took it apart.
Found a very brittle plastic ring, and very corroded contacts.
Opinion-- the thermostat is of poor quality. The contact materials
appear to be of poor quality, very pitted, unable to sustain
extended use. The brown plastic ring that actuates the contacts
appears to be made of a material that cannot sustain the heat. This
is based on a sample of just one unit, but my recommendation is to
stay clear of this unit unless/until Cuisanart finds a new
thermostat vendor and publicizes that action.

(More customer reviews)I read reviews of
multiple automatic expresso machines (deLonghi, Saeco, Gaggia, etc)
and was concerned that most brands tend to have some negative
reviews of their selected expresso machine breaking down after some
time. Since there was no single review that reports on the
reliability of these machines, I decided to take my chance with
this expresso machine.
The manual of this expresso maker lacks sufficient instructions.
Mine came with the new series Intenza water filter. The instruction,
with the new water filter, instructs that the existing small white
filter needs to be removed and does not provide instructions on its
removal. It is only upon calling Saeco customer service that I
understood how the small white filter can be removed. And when
necessary, I sometimes called Seattle Coffee Gear, whom I
originally bought mine from, who has excellent product expertise
and customer service.
Most automatic expresso machines come with plastic parts from in to
out. So this machine stands out in that the main body is still made
from steel.
This product comes with an inbuilt grinder, with small to coarse
grinder settings, and thus making it super-handy (fully
automatic!).
I used this machine to brew some Blue Mountain coffee. It came out
so rich in aroma and taste. Previously I was using some traditional
filter to brew this coffee and was not able to discern the aroma
and taste of this Blue Mountain coffee.
And the frother is able to froth the milk with a consistent quality
as well. And it comes with the option of hot water as well.
I bought this during Jan 2010, so I can't comment on the
reliability as yet. So far I cleaned this up after each use. In
case, this machine starts breaking down, I will update my review so
that future buyers can be fore-warned.1.5 mths later:
Upon power on, the 2 top & 1 bottom leftmost LEDs started
flashing. I referred to the manual and it indicated loading and to
wait. After waiting 10 mins and resetting the machine, I still
observed the same phenomenon. After some tests, I found that it
needed priming. So far this has happened twice in the last 2 weeks
and priming solves the problem. Saeco USA needs to improve on their
manual instructions !!!

(More customer reviews)This is my first
self-propelled mower. I'm coming from a basic, no-frills machine
that I bought some years ago when I just wanted something cheap
that would do the job.
I bought this mower at the local Depot, cheaper than the advertised
price here even after tax was added. I brought it home and unpacked
it.Setup was done in just a couple of minutes -- unlike my previous
mower, this one is almost entirely assembled in the box. All you
need to do is put the handle on and attach the blade clutch lever
to it.No tools required.
Next, add the fluids. The mower comes with the right amount of
30-weight oil. Then fill up the gas tank, and you're off.
The mower has an engine kill switch like you'd find on a
motorcycle. Switch to "I" (Ignition). Pull the starter cord.Mine
fired up on the first pull! The engine runs smoothly (and much
quieter than my old mower). You don't need to have the safety bar
pulled in at this point -- the engine will run, but the blades will
not spin.
Pull the safety bar in and the blades start spinning. Release it
and they stop, but the engine keeps running. Kill the engine by
flipping the ignition switch to OFF.
That's cool. With my old mower, every time I let go of the safety
bar it killed the engine and I would have to pull the starter cord
again to get it going.
The propulsion is really nice. The upper section of the grip is
spring-loaded and slides up and down the vertical handlebar rods
slightly. The more pressure you apply to the handlebar, the faster
the mower will want to move.Release the bar, and the mower stops
moving. There is another, secondary handlebar underneath that can
be used to circumvent the propulsion entirely, if desired.
There is also a large lever that allows you to change between
mulching and bagging. This can be done at any time. With the bag
attached, pulling the lever to the rear will start bagging, while
pushing the lever forwardwill close off the opening to the bag and
start mulching instead. The mower also comes with the side discharge
attachment, which installs easily and is very effective.
When you're done mowing, there is a port on the side that accepts a
standard garden hose. Attach a hose to the mower and turn it
on.Then start the mower and start the blades spinning. It does a
really good job of cleaning out the mower for you. When the water
coming out starts to run clear, just shut off the hose and let the
blades keep spinning for another few seconds until the mower is
dry.You will still need to clean out some of it, though, like the
bag port, which the hose doesn't reach.
The Briggs & Stratton engine seems strong, easily handling
whatever horrible things I threw at it (with a caveat, explained
below). Propulsion was also strong, and even going up a steep
incline behind my house required only about 5% of the effort
required with my previous mower. The overall build quality is
excellent, and it's a real looker to boot.
There are a couple of minor quibbles, but nothing significant
enough to merit the loss of a star. I'm not a huge fan of the white
wheels, which were already turning green after the first mow. And
the wheels themselves don't turn as freely as those on my old
mower. Presumably this is because of the propulsion mechanism, so I
guess that could be the case with any self-propelled mower. And
finally, when in mulching mode, the mower seems to stall more
frequently than my old mower when it hits the hard stuff. I live in
Florida, and it rains a lot in the summer.Sun + lots of water =
grass that's sometimes a foot high in a week. So if the grass gets
too long in between mows, this mower will sometimes stall because
there's way too much material to mash around. However, switching to
side discharge or bagging solves the problem immediately, and the
mower will cut ANYTHING.

(More customer reviews)This pool is
great!Setup was relatively easy but you do need a helping hand (my
13 y.o. helped me) and there are some things you should be aware of
before you purchase it.
1. If you purchase the 18' X 9' X 52" pool with saltwater filter,
you'll need 115 pounds of salt which cost me $30.00 at a local pool
supply store.I bought 4 bags (each bag weighed 40 pounds) and used
slightly less than 3 to start the system. You'll need to add more
salt occasionally (30 pounds or so) when the code on the filter
tells you to do so.
2.5-6 feet of free space is required around the perimeter of the
pool.(I didn't have this space available and had to change my
desired location for the pool.)This is because the U-shaped metal
supports, attached to the top rail, lay flat on the ground
outwardly during setup. Then you pick the top rail off the ground
which makes the U-shaped supports slide into place. This starts
holding the pool up and in place.Your helper then attaches the pool
liner to the bottom of each support.I hope this makes sense. You
definitely need that extra space around the pool!
3.Your area should be very level.Take the time to clear rocks that
could puncture the liner and to prep the area well.I think the best
place for the pool would be on level cement.

(More customer reviews)I owned a Jura
Impressa S90 for 6 years at a daily rate of 8 espressos . No
problems , I sold it to upgrade it for a professional like
machine.. Bad decision, The Talea Ring Plus has a beautiful design
and is relatively small for a full automatic, but...
After 4 months it was leaking (faulty 0 rings ), it wastes more
water that it goes into the coffee, it is very high maintenance to
clean (new filter every 2 weeks, cleaning tablet every 3 weeks,
descaling twice in 3 months), but most important if you have a
problem forget about Saeco customer service:rude, incompetent and
they don't return emails or calls, so you better have a good
relationship with your retailer to enlist their help. After the
repair of my NEW machine, Saeco lost my original box and protective
pads, they scratched the led display and plate and the serial
number sticker was missiing...
After 8 single coffeesyou must empty the grounds and the drip tray!
the container is flooded with water.
What about the coffee? Just OK , not any better that one could get
with a machine one third of the price.
If you are thinking superautomatic forget Saeco( at least this
model)

(More customer reviews)I purchased an X500
which is a bit larger but uses the same "friction" heating system.
Spa arrived well packaged except the clips you have to install to
hold the cover were not in the cover box. I filled the spa and it
leaked. The manufacturer said that leaks from loose jets/return
fittings were not covered by warranty and I would have to pay a
tech if the leak was not in the underside plumbing. So much for
quality and standing behind your products. Next it took 36 hours to
heat 61 degree tap water to 100 degrees with an outside temp of mid
to upper 40s and nights low 40s to high 30s. Getting it to 102 took
about another 5 - 6 hours. Since the outside temps have dropped to
low 40s day and mid 30s night it has not reached 102 again even
with the cover in place and waterfall and air controls off. I
purchased a floating thermometer and it reads 2-3 degrees below the
spa readout. The manufacturer finally decided to send out a
replacement control pack but I have yet to see it. He said when it
arrives he will send a tech to install it. I have had this spa for
a month and have not been able to use it. I drained it, removed and
checked all the valves and housing for the umpteenth time and found
an O-ring not in place and scrap plastic under one of the jet
housing rings. I think I fixed the leak problem finally as
tightening did no good. Well I have had a spa for the holiday
season that I could not use, could not leave (had to keep adding
water and chemicals), and have used about 6 months worth of test
strips and chemicals and still cannot use it. If you are not a spa
mechanic Dream Maker is definitely not for you. Maybe all of their
products do not have this many problems, but BEWARE of any outside
spa without an actual electric heater element. I have owned a
Continental Spa since 1980 and it was 110/20amp and had a great
heater. I never had to tighten a jet or do anything other than
replace filters so maybe I expect too much of modern
manufacturing.
