Accutane is an acne drug that was developed in the 1980s to treat and get rid of acne by a not so smart pharmaceutical company. Many millions of people have taken accutane and it just recently became a banned drug. Accutane has many drugs that are similar who claim to be as good as accutane. No one really knows but if it is as good as accutane then it probably has all of the side effects that accutane has or even more.Im not a scientist, nor am I a pharmaceutical sales rep. This has just been my personal experience with this drug and what I have seen and experienced from it. This is my story and the reason that I am sharing it is because I believe that it will help people make better decisions about their health and about how to go about getting rid of their acne in a healthier way as well.The story starts back in the 80s, at the time my mom suffered from severe bad acne and was willing to try any acne treatment to get rid of it quickly. Accutane was a new acne drug on the market, and when she went to her doctor with my grandma the doctor told them about accutane and how it would help. Trusting the doctor not smart now days and desperate to get rid of her acne my mom signed a bunch of documents that protected accutane and started taking the drug right away.To her surprise her acne started to clear up fairly quickly and she was happy with the results so far. But as she continued to take them she started to feel weird things happening in her body that worried her and soon realized that it was effecting her mind as well. She immediately got off the drug and hasnt taken it or any other pharmaceuticals since. years later she gave birth to my older brother which is the first born in the family.My brother was born with a birth defect. He was born with a half middle finger and the doctor determined that the cause of the birth defect was accutane. My brother was born with a half grown middle finger, it never fully grew and the other fingers grow in to make up for the missing space. Not only was my brother effected by accutane but years after that my mom got cancer and they found traces of accutane in her liver years later. This definitely helped cause and feed the growth of the cancer.Thankfully she survived and is healthy today and never touching any pharmaceuticals again because she knows what they can do to your body.
