The day before the pph surgery:

Unlike other surgical procedures with this one there is no need to empty your body inside out. However, not eating or drink anything for a day before it helps with giving yourself few extra hours for recovery before you have to go  and use the bathroom for your # 1 and 2.

On the day of the surgery:

It is tricky but you will find the balance just eat smaller portions and drink LOTS of water.

Avoid eating foods high in fat and poor on fiber. Make sure you eat plenty of fresh fruits such as pears, plums, apples, and other foods rich on fiber. Drink plenty of water and if possible freshly squeezed fruit juice.

- Stool softener: Colace, Milk of Magnesia, Metamucil, Citrucel, Sennakot, delcolax, mineral oil, fish oil, etc.
