Images Of Digital Cameras

Katelyn'sSite:The'Reel'World

How Digital Cameras Process Their Images
Digital cameras, basically work the same as a traditional camera. Both cameras use the same lens for focusing on specific images, it also has a shutter to let light go inside the camera, and an aperture for controlling the amount of light that will go inside the camera.

The only and main difference they have is the process in which they capture and process those images. While the traditional kind can capture the images as soon as the button is clicked the images would be processed on film, a digital camera on the other hand, will process the images on an image sensor and would need a computer or a printer to finally get the images. While conventional cameras depend on chemical and mechanical processes and would not even need any electricity to operate and process them, digital cameras on the other hand, depend on their built-in computer, and their images are recorded electronically.

Although traditional cameras still provide better picture quality than digital cameras, they are still used by some until now. But as traditional cameras do not process the same as digital cameras, the popularity of the latter has increasingly become more. To process the images in a digital camera , it will need its electronic devices that are composed of photosites in which it will calculate the intensity of light and thus processing its image sensors. There are two types of image sensors which are commonly used. They are the CCD or the Charge coupled Device and the CMOS or the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor sensors.

For a digital camera each photosite means a pixel in terms of the final image. A digital camera having a six megapixel would mean 6 million megapixels. The light that hits the image sensor will then get converted into electrical signals and then process them into binary numbers by a computer that is built-in the camera itself, which then result into storing the image in the digital camera or in the memory card. The photosites can only process the intensity of light and not process the colour of the images. In order to create the colours it needs, the photosites will be covered with red, green or blue colour filters.

Most of the time the colour filter can only cover one colour at a time. So the processing of the images will rely on its computer processing, which is called as demosaicing. After the process of demosaicing is complete, the images would then be adjusted according to the digital camera settings for colour saturation, brightness and contrast.

Where To Take Wedding Photos

Wheretotakeweddingphotos-GreenBay-Wisconsin

Good Wedding Photography Sites Throughout Philadelphia
For wedding photography, Philadelphia is probably the best city in the country. It's urban, steeped in history and culture, filled with gardens and parks and dubbed the "city of love" for a reason. For five of the city's best wedding photography locations, keep reading.

Longwood Gardens (longwoodgardens.org)

It's hard to go wrong at Longwood Gardens, the grounds are massive, but also pristine and positively stunning. With water fountains, flowers and beautiful foliage, the Gardens make for an incredible backdrop setting for your Philadelphia wedding photos.

However, before you arrive at the Longwood gates with your wedding party, photographer and lights in tow, you should know the Gardens do allow photography, but there are policies you must follow. All attendees are required to pay the entrance fee, and no tripods or lights can be used at any time. You may also be required to sign a permission form saying the photos are for personal, not commercial, use.

LOVE Park

What could be more romantic than photos taken under the infamous LOVE statue in Philadelphia's Love Park? Officially, the park is named JFK Plaza, but is lovingly referred to as LOVE Park thanks to the infamous Robert Indiana LOVE sculpture overlooking the park in Philadelphia's city center.
It's free to take photos in LOVE Park, but be prepared to compete with other wedding parties, especially if you're shooting on a busy June Saturday. To avoid disappointment, set aside some extra photography time in case you run into another wedding.

Bartram's Garden

Bartram's Gardens are the country's oldest public gardens, and the setting is both romantic and idyllic. With its stone courtyard, historical buildings and beautiful garden setting - it's a great spot for wedding photography. Philadelphia photographers should know the location well.

However, shooting at Bartram's isn't cheap or easy. Unless your wedding is already booked at the venue, you may have to reserve around a wedding. Regardless, you can expect to pay between 0 and 0 per hour for photographing at the space.

The Steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art

As the major focus of Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, the Philadelphia Museum of Art is massive and a true landmark of the city. For those looking for a real taste of Philadelphia in their wedding photos, this could be it.

The steps are massive and high, while the eight pillars are a stunning backdrop. You may recognize the popular photo setting from the Rocky movies as the steps that Rocky Balboa climbed during his training. Keep in mind that wedding parties require a per hour permit from the Fairmount Park Commission to shoot on the location.

Rittenhouse Square

Smack dab in the middle of Center City, Rittenhouse Square is both a convenient and beautiful spot for wedding pictures. Philadelphia residents will instantly recognize the urban park's green setting and natural beauty. The best part? You don't need a permit to shoot and you gain the attractiveness of the city at the same time.

Digital Photography And Lighting

PhotographicServicesDigitalArtsAspen

Photography - One Light for Portraits?!
There's a lot of tosh written about decent studio portraits always requiring five lights. Yes, sure most of us use them from time to time, but it is altogether more satisfying to see how few we really do require to nail all the required elements.

We have been experimenting with one light for quite a while. Perhaps an obvious choice for low-key lighting. We will often use a single side facing main light with a black panel between it and the white backgorund to achieve some quite pleasing results. Add a reflector on the other side of the subject to brighten up those really dark shadows, and it starts to look good.

Low-key sorted, but what about high-key? Impossible? Certainly not! The trick here is to place the subject close to the background and get the main light in close with a largeish softbox (1m square or larger) and angling down at around a 30 degree angle. Make sure you install reflectors all round the subject. Use one as a kicker, one as a hair light and one either side of the subject to get rid of the tell-tale shadows on the background and hey-presto....high-key lighting.
Not convinced?

Try it.

Yes, sure there will be quite a bit of fiddling around with exposure and reflectors. We would tend to use silver as gold can give uneven colour temperature issues and white may be a little flat with only one light source.

The point I'm trying to make is that although most of us use multiple lights, it doesn't have to be that way. If a photographer is just starting out in portraiture, he/she doesn't need to feel hampered by not having huge amounts of kit.

Many of the world's greatest photographers were initially unable to afford to buy much equipment and had to improvise - often leading to some of the most iconic images of the twentieth (and possibly the twenty first) century.

If I'm truly honest, I normally prefer to work with four or five lights, as it allws me to build more depth into the shot, but it doesn't hurt us to experiment from time to time.

What It Is How It Works

Kodak POC Computed Radiography (CR) units consist of the laser scanner (CR reader), phosphor imaging plates and the necessary software. Editing Your Pictures

...Facebook,installPizapphotoeditorandstarteditingyourpictures

I discovered this plan for selling photography services almost by accident, but it works extremely well, if you put in the work. Estate agents need photographs of the houses they are selling, to persuade customers to view them. Many try and do this themselves and often poorly. If you find one of these estate agents you can move in with your offer.

After locating a potential estate agent it's best to show them a portfolio, so you'll need to have one. Check out affluent areas close to you and take pictures of some of the houses (after seeking the owner's permission, of course). You may also have some new estates with empty properties near you which you can use. A few shots of local famous buildings will also be useful in demonstrating your prowess. Don't be afraid to selectively edit afterwards in Photoshop to improve composition - just don't be too radical with your amendments and end up changing the overall feel of a property, or surrounding area.

After editing your pictures, it's time to create a portfolio that will impress estate agents, thereby helping you in selling photography services. Use your best 20 to 30 pictures and have these printed and presented into a portfolio professionally. Not only will this save you time but a reputable local, or online, printing company will make your portfolio presentation look as good as it can. Stick with what you do best - the photography.

With your portfolio ready, and a list of local estate agents, it is time to take a deep breath and make the big leap into the unknown. Simply walk in confidently and talk to them. You have nothing to lose so be polite, but assertive. Don't beat around the bush. Ask them if they would be interested in discussing a deal for photographs of the properties they sell. Some will consider hiring you - some will simply tell you no, and in this case you continue down the road and try elsewhere until you get the answer that you want

You may not make a fortune selling photography in this fashion, but once you have it up and running it certainly can produce a steady income. Think of this as just one part of your overall photography marketing plan. Whatever the results, it will help build experience, not only in photography, but also in negotiation skills. As a business person, developing skills in this area is just as important as your talents as a photographer, if you wish to build a steady and regular income from your favourite pastime.
