Is Lindsay Lohan a Kleptomaniac or Just Forgetful?

Lindsay Lohan was charged with felony grand theft Wednesday for shoplifting a $2500 necklace, but is the starlet a kleptomaniac or just absentminded?

According to TMZ, just four days before the Mean Girls actress allegedly stole a diamond necklace from Venice, Calif., boutique Kamofie & Company, Lohan almost walked out of the same jewelry store wearing a diamond earring she hadn't paid for.

On Jan. 18, the starlet went to Kamofie and tried on a pair of 18-karat gold white diamond earrings, removing her own expensive earrings to try on the store's sparklers. She then reportedly removed one of the white diamond earrings and continued to browse the store with the other still in her ear.

A report obtained by TMZ claims the actress "gathered her things and started to leave the jewelry store without making a purchase. (Her) hair was flipped to one side covering the diamond earring." A clerk stopped the actress before she left and reminded her she was still wearing the store's earring. Lohan "laughed, admitted to her mistake and removed the earring from her ear and returned it to (the clerk)."

Oddly enough, this carelessness might be a positive thing for Lohan as she tries to prove she didn't intentionally steal the necklace that got her charged with felony grand theft. Also working in Lohan's favor are the inconsistent stories the jeweler has told involving the circumstances in which Lohan left the store with the necklace. The jeweler initially claimed that  put the necklace in her bag, then changed the story to claim she simply walked out with the necklace around her neck.

Lohan posted $40,000 bail Wednesday and received a stern warning from the judge. "You need to follow the law just like everyone else," he said. "You are no different than anyone else, so please don’t push your luck." Lohan is due back in court Feb. 23, when her attorney will have a conference with the prosecutor in hopes of settling the case before it goes to trial. Lohan is still proclaiming her innocence and says she was given the necklace on loan.

While the judge had no problem admonishing Lindsay, there are others who had kinder words. Celebrity Rehab specialist Dr. Drew Pinksy twittered his support of the startlet on Wednesday, writing: "I am mortified how @ is getting attacked when she is so fragile and just establishing her sobriety. Not at all what she needs."

"@drdrew thank you for your support.. I appreciate it," Lohan twittered back, shortly after posting bail on Wednesday.

Lindsay's mom Dina Lohan is also keeping a positive outlook about her daughter. Dina tells PopEater: "All good. God has a big plan." If that's true, we hope it involves getting Lindsay acquitted of these charges.

Jennifer Aniston recently revealed that she ran into celebrity blogger Perez Hilton in a Los Angeles parking garage, and now the gossip monger is spilling all the dirt about their conversation. While Aniston told Ellen DeGeneres that she confronted Hilton about the mean things he says, Perez says he actually got Aniston to dish on her feelings about ex Brad Pitt -- and what she really thinks about Angelina Jolie.

According to Life & Style, when Perez asked Aniston point-blank if she hates Jolie, she said, "Look, that was so long ago, and we've moved on and we're all adults."

Aniston reportedly confirmed that she still has a decent relationship with Pitt, who she split from in 2005. "I still talk to Brad and everything's fine," Hilton claims the actress told him.

The blogger said he also asked the Just Go With It star about her current relationship status, to which Aniston said that those who assume she is lonely have it all wrong.

"She told me that she dates a lot," Hilton revealed. "And just makes sure not to go anywhere public."  

As for Aniston's insistence that life is good, Hilton is definitely convinced.

"I believe what she has to say," he said. "I think she really has moved on."
