ejw812: My wife was blow drying her hair in our bathroom and the
power went off. Is my GFCI Receptacle bad? I checked the GFCI
Receptacle in the bathroom and the reset button is locked out. I
can't push it in. Does this sound like the the GFCI needs to be
replaced? She blow drys her hair almost every day and we have been
in this house over a year. Any help would be much appreciated. I
did check the breaker box and none were switched to the off
position. Is there anything I should check? Best answer: Answer by
SamCheck to see if you blew a circuit. In the circuit breaker box,
there may be one circuit switched to the off position. Switch it
back on. For some older models, you have to switch it off and on
fast to restart it. Then your outlet and its reset button may work
fine again. It sounds like it just got overloaded and did its job
is all. Give your answer to this question below! [1]
