(More customer reviews)This is the tool I
carry day in and out because of the hex bolt featureI've customized
by removing the straight blade (There is still a seratedblade) and
replaced it with a saw and a seatbelt cutter. I sail competivelyand
the seatbelt cutter gives me a safe way to cut a line. With the
hookend on the blade the line won't come off until its fully cut
through. (Ohyeah, the basic knife comes with one open slot for
customization.)
Thisis one of the best designs for the pliers. As you can see in
the photo thesmooth part of the handles is on the outside so when
you bear down on thepliers the handle doesn't cut into your hand.
Also as you can see the headtilts. You can get some pressure at the
tip at this angle, and you can pickup those little screws that
dropped behind the exhaust manifold withoutburning your
fingers.
Disadvantages: No sizzors. The file blade dosen'thave that grove
for sharpening hooks, the tab for popping out the plierhead pokes
holes in my pockets so I have to wear it on my belt. Because
thehandles don't do that "leatherman T" the ruler is short, just
thelength of one of the handles. I did a sawing test in the woods
one day anda 3" blade is too short for firewood. I've kept it
incase I need tocut away something while sailing. Otherwise you'll
still need a regularsaw.
The sizzors problem I fixed by getting a leatherman Micra. The
restI just live with.

(More customer reviews)I used to carry a
well known name brand multi-tool until I found a couple superior
options ( based on 30+ years as a fire fighter, police officer and
bomb disposal ( EOD ) technician ). The two best multitools i have
found suited for emergency service in my opinion are the SOG
Powerlock S60 Made in the USA and the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife
SwissTool RS made in Switzerland, both with lifetime
warranties.
Sooner or later all good things must come to an end and us old guys
get put out to pasture to allow the young blood(s) in an
organization rise to the top. Semi retired now I find my self more
in the teaching mode of the nuts + bolts of how things work rather
than beingon the front lines leading the charge.Consequently with
more free time to work around the house, truck and and other boy
"toys" I took a serious look at the two multitools I had carried
over the years and evaluated them against getting something more
fitting for my current needs, something that would be used
everyday, lighter weight and not have all the life saving tools
featured on my previous EDC ( Every Day Carry ) multitools I had
been carrying on the job.It should be noted there is a SOG S60 in
the console of my Avalanche and a"RS"in my wife's Honda Pilot
glove-box just in case !
Looking at a number of choices among multitools now being offered-
and there are a lot to look at ( Made in USA and a lifetime
warranty - were primary selection factors along with the tools
functionality ) my choice for a new EDC multitool was the
ImmiX-10manufactured by LoggerheadTools in Chicago, IL,( [...]). I
had seen some of the Loggerhead tools on the TV show "COOL TOOLS"on
the DIY Network, and the selection of tools offered seemed to fit
my current semi-retired requirements. Loggerhead manufacturers a
number of quality multitools and one really needs to take a close
hard look at their personal requirements before making their
selection(s) on a new multitool(s).My opinion based on
functionality, quality, price and reputation the tools manufactured
in the USA by Loggerhead need to be on everyones short list when
looking at a multitool you will use on a daily basis.
My choice from the Loggerhead lineup was an ImmiX -10with a
corrosion resistant electrolysis nickel plated body. The tool has a
number of functions that I deemed necessary in a multitool to fit
my current requirements. #1 was the two high-carbon,
stainless-steel, retractable knife blades - one with a plain edge
and the other with a serrated edge with both measuring 2.5".The 6
inch Bionic Wrench(tm) design covers 14 metric and standard wrench
sizes, 1/4 inch to 9/16 inch and 7 mm to 14 mm, combining the
versatility of an adjustable wrench with the simplicity of pliers,
a real improvement for me over the needle nose / bull nose pliers
offered in other multitools - and the complicated imported
adjustable wrenches now making their way to the USA. The two
handles on the ImmiX-10 lock to form a powerful, ergonomic,
magnetic bit driverwith a torque enhancing "pistol grip" which
enables you to comfortably and confidently apply the right amount
of pressure to task at hand. The ImmiX-10storesthe included 10 of
the most popular types and sizes of screwdriver heads (slotted,
Phillips, Torx, and Robertson) inside one of the handles. The
ImmiX-20 offers 20 bits stored in the handles but you forfeit the
two knife blades. This multitool is what I consider a full size
tool ( NOT a useless mini - multitool), with plenty of room to grip
the handles and make the tool do it's thing, I'm a big guy with big
paws and no way can I overpower this tool to the point something is
going to bend, break or snap under normal use.The ImmiX-10 comes
with a QUALITY ( made in the USA ) durable synthetic carrying case
with a heavily stitched leather belt loop for vertical carry. There
is enough room in the Immix-10 case for me to also carry my small
capped Fisher Space pen AND a 4 inch steel prybar - so they are
very handy and convenient when needed. The ImmiX-10 is also lighter
to carry on your belt than the previous models mentioned ( S60 + RS
).
It did not take long for me to find projects for this workhorse to
get going - the 10 rusted anchor bolts on my screenroom were the
first place that the tool attacked and it performed without a
problem. Looking for other things to do - a quick adjustment to my
grandsons bicycle handle bars was accomplished along with making
sure the wheel / axle nuts were snug and the seat was properly
adjusted. Installing two replacement light fixtures in the garage
made good use of the integral magnetic bit holder for tightening
screws and serrated knife blade for stripping wires. Next was
cutting off some vines that had wrapped around the tines on my
rototillerand tightening a loose screw holding the air filter in
place. The ImmiX-10 is just a fun , useful, powerful multitool to
carry on your belt.
The ImmiX-10 is available on line from [...], www.amazon.comand
others.

(More customer reviews)I own Crescent
"Forged Crestoloy Steel" wrenches I've had for as long as 50 years
- that were made by the old Crescent Tool Company in Jamestown, New
York. Three are 10" versions that have seen heavy use since I was a
kid. My older model Crescents have a polished side face instead of
the new machined tooling marked face on this new model. They also
have a threaded screw pin that holds the rotational worm gear. That
rotating gear is also spring loaded just as are the newer Crescents
by Cooper Tool.
As far as the metal, it looks the same in both the old and new
versions. But, the handles are thicker in the new version by Cooper
Tools. Machine work in both cases is also of the same tolerances
and gives the new wrenches the same proven strength and feel of the
older ones that were forged at the original Crescent Tool Company
in New York. I'm sure either version would break, using a cheater
pipe on the handle for added leverage, rather than ever bend a
handle. In fact, I have used cheater pipes with mine whenever
needed - but I've never broken a Crescent wrench by made Crescent
Tool Company. I have broken and bent those made by Proto, Kobalt,
and other Chinese manufacturers where I was accustomed to using a
Crescent Tool Company wrench without damage - and all my old
Crescents still work just as well as they did when new, athough
their finish is quite worn now. Incredibly, they still don't look
that bad after so many years of hard use, and stand well beside my
new ones. I can also say I've never seen a speck of rust on my
"Crestoloy" Crescent wrenches - despite they have seen use in wet
environments and have been left in stored in damp areas. Although,
I have sprayed them with WD-40 now and then through the years.
While some may say the new pin design for the rotating worm gear
(in the Cooper Tools model) is less desireable, it has its merits.
The older design allowed the disassembly of the tool for better
cleaning of it if needed, but that created its own problem. By
having the unstaked pin, the screw could work its way out and
allowed the wrench to fall apart. I know, I lost one good Crescent
wrench in just that manner once, and it prompted me to stake the
screw pins in on my remaining older Crescents many years ago. The
problem of a lost pin has never happened again - since I staked
them in. Crescent wrenches like these by Crescent Tool and Cooper
Tools are truly extremely rugged tools with unexpected accuracy and
strength. Because of this, I have purchased the entire set from 4"
to the 15" and 18" models. The 12" here is the most versatile for
me as I use it most. Sure, I have hundreds of sockets and closed
and open end-wrenches, including pipe wrenches and Vise Grips, and
Channel Lock pliers, but the original Crescent is the most
universal and reliable wrench you can rely on when it's not
convenient to carry many wrenches around, and you don't want to
damage a fitting.
If anyone had asked me if they could have improved on the original
Crescent, I would have said no. But, the new wider handle does feel
better - especially in my now old and arthritic hands. No the
handles aren't polished, but are more of a satin finish - just like
they've always been. But then again, The original Crescent wrench
was designed to be a rugged tool that saved time looking for and
getting the proper size wrench - while providing a close tolerance
fit to nuts and bolts that didn't damage them. That's an
accomplishment that made the tool world famous. You'll pay more for
these "original" Crescents, but the price is worth it over all the
competition.
One tip: While the Crescent jaw head makes a handy hammer, don't
use the jaw end of a Cresent wrench for a hammer - it's possible to
burr the metal on the open end of the housing for the sliding jaw,
which can prevent the easy ability to close the jaw for smaller jaw
openings. Hold the tool by the jaw head and use the handle as a
striking tool if needed.

because it was a buck (.97 cents) plus shipping...I got it just in
case.
I currently have a set of star bits but they dont have any holes in
them.well for the T-10 on the XBOX the little holes aren't
needed.Duh. my bad...It's only for the T-8 that is used for your
controller. The long wells for the screw made it impossible to fit
normal sized star bits 1/4 inch bits down there. So, this isn't
really needed if you already have regular sized bits for the XBOX
case.but if you dont --- this is a cheap alternative.

Silverhill T10 Torx Driver for Tamper Resistant
Screws
Product Description:
If you want to open your PS3, then you need a tamper resistant torx
size 10 screwdriver to remove the first screw. After that, the rest
of the screws require a standard phillips screwdriver. Why buy a
whole set, when you need just one screwdriver? This driver has a
small hole in the tip, to bypass the post in a tamper resistant
torx screw, like the ones found in the OEM Playstation 3. The
screwdriver handle is easy to use, the yellow part turns freely in
your palm while you are applying pressure to it. Handle is also
ergonomic for ease of use. It starts with a high quality handle,
but, the metal shank is Chrome Vanadium Hardened Steel (CR-V) 6150.
This is high quality metal. We chose this metal so that the
screwdriver will last longer. High quality design, high quality

Combining Compound Leverage and PowerLock Technology for Safe,
Easy Use
Driven by an exclusive interlocking gear system, SOG's patented
Compound Leverage technology is a legend in folding tools. With the
proprietary technology's increased leverage, SOG pliers generate
twice the power of their conventional counterparts, minimizing the
amount of hand pressure that is required to get the most torque out
of the tool. And using SOG's PowerLock technology, the S63-N
features removable, pivoting handle covers that improve hand
comfort and allow for additional pressure on tough jobs.
SOG is the only company to apply Compound Leverage technology to
EOD-specific (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) multi-tools. This
technology makes the S63-N an ideal tool for crimping blasting caps
and demolition cord with minimal hand pressure. The position of the
crimper device within the handle is an EOD-specific feature unique
to SOG. This design serves to minimize collateral damage to the
crimper and allows you to have uninterrupted use of the plying
surface (unlike other brands' tools). Additionally, the crimper
produces non-flaring, high pull-out strength crimps that meet
government fuse well specifications.
The S63-N is GSA approved.

(More customer reviews)I do a a bit of
tech work at my community college in maintaining their audio
equipment.I'm also a hobbyist and a bass guitarist, and in all
three areas the EVO has provided admirable service.I've had this
for roughly six months now, using it daily for whatever task I can
think of at the moment.
Pros: -Durable construction; only tool that's shown wear is the
serrated blade (that I pretty much abuse to save the wickedly sharp
plain edge anyway)
-Spring-loaded handles and component locks. Also, the scissors are
spring-loaded for extra cutting power.
-More compact than most multi-tools, making it more convenient for
day-to-day carry
-Broad selection of useful items, all-outboard components.
Cons: -Screwdriver tips could have been selected better; for
medium-sized screws, the smaller one is too small to get a good
grip and the larger one is too thick to even fit in the divot. But
they still both have their uses.
-It's a bit difficult to get the smaller screwdriver out at first;
nails are recommended.
-The sheath should have a different fastener mechanism; the Velcro
strap on mine has recently worn down to the point where it will pop
open with the slightest motion. And Gerber doesn't sell separate
sheaths that fit this model (one downside to its size)
Overall: This is the first multi-tool I've owned, and I am quite
happy with it (despite the sheath part.)If you work in a field that
demands heavy repair work on a daily basis, you could go for
something larger and even more robust.I highly recommend it to
guitarists and any musician who does maintenance on their
instruments, as well as theater techies, hobbyists, handymen, and
anyone who wants a versatile and compact tool for day-to-day
tasks.

comfortable to use, most useful, largest pliers multi-tool I have
ever used.
I was very disappointed when Schrade went under, and thrilled when
the Chinese version appeared.Wow- the pliers are much smaller,
smaller than my leatherman wave. The tools are stiff and of a
lighter gauge metal. This is NOT the same tool. The world waits for
someone- Leatherman, are you listening?- to come up with an
improved version of this great tool.

(More customer reviews)I have a Leatherman
Kick, a Gerber multi-tool, and this Eddie Bauer multi-tool.The
Eddie Bauer multi-tool and the Gerber both seem very well made and
are significantly less expensive than the Leatherman
Kick.Furthermore, the assortment of tools on the Eddie Bauer and
the Gerber is better than on the Leatherman Kick.Only time will
tell how well each lasts, but I am reasonably confident that they
will all do well.
My favorite feature of the Eddie Bauer tool is the built-in LED
flashlight, which shine exactly where it should -- right on
whatever you are squeezing with the pliers.Nice touch.
