I came up with a list of things to consider when making this decision.

Third, also very important, space. In an apartment you will normally get more room to move around. Most of the tourist apartments you have your own living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc. You can move around as you wish.  That is good most for most of the trips, but for certain trips what you want is socializing with other people, which you can find in a Hotel.  In a lot of hotels you can find people in the area of the restaurant or the living room.  People are in the same situation as you, in a new town and sometimes a little bit lost.  This helps meeting people from other countries.

I recently traveled to Barcelona trying to get the full Spinning Sound Experience. The Spinning Sound is an exhibition shown in MACBA (Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Barcelona). The name comes from the long plays of the 20th century.

Is an exhibit that gathers very important movements of that century. You’ve got from “Pop Art” to Dabaism and Futurism, passing through a whole era of music and visual art.
Now, why is it a full Spinning Sound experience for me… it is not only the museum I’ve got to visit. Taking advantage of the location of the apartment we could visit the Gothic Quarter. During the nights we could walk the streets that surround the apartment finding a lot of local and foreign traditions. Next to the museum you can find the known neighborhood called “El Raval”, where you can have a taste of Middle East food and culture. And at night there are local bars where you can put in practice the musical knowledge acquired at the exhibit at the local bars where you can find music of all types and for all tastes.
